T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 receiving September security update

galaxynote5

Galaxy Note 5 owners, it’s time to update.

T-Mobile is now pushing an update to its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that bumps the phone to version N920TUVS4DPH2 and is 76.10MB. The changelog for the update only mentions that “the security of your device has been improved.” T-Mobile’s Note 5 support page hasn’t been refreshed with info on this update as of this writing.

After installing the update, TmoNews readers Juan Carlos and Robert found that their Note 5s had been updated with the Sept. 1 security patch.

If you’ve got a Galaxy Note 5, you can hop into your Settings app, then tap “About device” followed by “Software update” to check for this update manually. Having the latest security patches on your phone is important for protecting your personal data that’s store on the device, so if you’ve got a Note 5, keep an eye out for this new update.

Thanks, Juan Carlos and Robert!
