After announcing the Axon 7 back in May, ZTE today revealed the all-important pricing and availability details for its new flagship.

The ZTE Axon 7 is now available for pre-order in the U.S., with pricing set at $399.98. As of this writing, the Ion Gold model will begin shipping on July 27, while the Quartz Gray model starts shipping August 17. The Axon 7 is available for pre-order from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, Newegg, and ZTE itself.

As a refresher, the ZTE Axon 7 is a high-end smartphone design in collaboration with BMW Designworks. Its spec list includes a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a microSD slot that doubles as a second SIM slot, and a 3250mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. The Axon 7 also boasts a 20-megapixel rear camera that rests above a fingerprint reader, and an 8-megapixel front camera. On the software side, it runs Android 6.0.1 below ZTE’s custom MiFavor 4.0 UI.

Also of note is that ZTE touts the Axon 7 will support Daydream, Google’s virtual reality platform. ZTE says that the Axon 7 will be Daydream-ready this fall, which is when the Daydream platform and its VR products will launch.

Finally, ZTE says that the Axon 7 will support T-Mobile band 12 LTE, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi Calling. When it comes to wireless connectivity, the Axon 7 supports LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, and 31. Also included is support for 2+4, 2/4+12, 2/4+29, 2/4+5, 41+41, and 25+25 carrier aggregation.

The ZTE Axon 7 is another affordable flagship, coming to market to do battle with devices like the OnePlus 3. The Axon 7’s spec list competes with some of the best phones on the market, so it’ll be interesting to see how it performs in the real world.
