T-Mobile’s new iPhone 6s deal prompts Sprint to launch $1 per month offer

One day after T-Mobile confirmed its $5 iPhone 6s trade-in promotion, Sprint has fired back with a new offer of its own.

Starting September 25, Sprint will sell a 16GB iPhone 6s for $1 per month with an iPhone 6 trade-in. Larger capacities will be available, too, with the 64GB iPhone 6s coming in at $5.77 per month and the 128GB model priced at $10.53 per month. Meanwhile, the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB iPhone 6s Plus will be priced at $5, $9.77, and $14.53, respectively.

Sprint’s also got a deal for iPhone 5s users that’ll get them a 16GB iPhone 6s for $10 per month or a 16GB iPhone 6s Plus for $14 per month with trade-in. Finally, Sprint will sell the 16GB iPhone 6s for $15 per month with the trade-in of “any other smartphone.”

This $1 iPhone 6s trade-in deal is part of Sprint’s iPhone Forever lease program, which lets customers upgrade whenever there’s a new iPhone available that they don’t already have.

John Legere hasn’t responded to Sprint’s new offer yet, but I’m interested to see what he’ll have to say, and I’m betting many of you are, too. I’ll be sure to update this post when our CEO responds to Sprint’s announcement.
