Having discontinued the last known Sidekick, the Android-based Sidekick 4G, T-Mobile has gone a little historical on us remembering the entire Sidekick line using Facebook’s timeline profile feature. The “Evolution of Sidekick” takes us all the way through the beginnings of the Sidekick line through every device that graced the name until we hit the Android-based version from 2011. That’s a 2002 beginning all the way through a 2011 complete revamp of the line.
Is T-Mobile trying to tell us something or are they just being crafty with Facebook’s new profile functionality? While there are no current rumors of a new Sidekick coming, Android or otherwise, T-Mobile hasn’t ruled out a continuation of the product name. We’ll patiently await the return of the vaunted Sidekick name, in the meantime head on over to T-Mobile’s Facebook page and retrace the steps of one of T-Mobile’s most beloved handsets.
