T-Mobile Wins Big With Small Businesses and Enterprises in J.D. Power’s Latest Rankings

T-Mobile for Business has another J.D. Power trophy for the shelf, well, two of them. The 2026 business wireless rankings are out, and Magenta came out on top with both the smallest and the biggest companies.

According to J.D. Power’s 2026 U.S. Business Wireless Satisfaction Study, T-Mobile ranked highest among large enterprises with 500 or more employees, scoring 768 to Verizon’s 748. It also led the small business segment, covering companies with 1 to 19 employees, with a score of 712, ahead of Spectrum Business at 692 and AT&T at 691. That’s a pretty comfortable 20-point cushion over second place in both segments.

The one that got away was the middle. Verizon edged out T-Mobile among medium-sized businesses with 20 to 499 employees, 747 to 741, so it’s a close race rather than a blowout. Still, winning two out of three segments keeps T-Mobile’s long run near the top of this study going. If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll remember T-Mobile has a habit of sweeping these, including when it earned the highest score in J.D. Power’s 2022 business wireless study.

Across the industry, business satisfaction rose 9 points to 735 on a 1,000-point scale, with companies saying plans are easier to understand and offers are more flexible. Network quality was the top factor for businesses of every size. J.D. Power’s Carl Lepper noted that as carriers lean harder on automation and digital support, businesses still want to reach a knowledgeable human quickly, and phone support is one of the areas where carriers still have room to improve. The study surveyed 3,709 business decision makers between June and August.

For T-Mobile, the takeaway is that its network push is paying off with business customers, but closing that small gap with Verizon in the mid-size segment is the next fight. And if you run a business on T-Mobile, the phone support point is worth keeping in mind: the network is winning, but getting a real person on the line quickly still matters just as much.
