A Video First Look At LG Optimus L9 For T-Mobile

In the same space as the Lumia 810, T-Mobile showed off the LG Optimus L9, a recently announced mid-range device coming to T-Mobile in the near future. Sporting a 4.5″ qHD display, 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB RAM, Android 4.0, 5 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording, Gorilla Glass 2, 4GB internal storage, external storage support and a 2150mAh battery.

This may not be a device for power users and it certainly won’t take away any attention from the Galaxy S III, but early hands on were pretty favorable:

Engadget: In our brief time using the L9, we witnessed a few bouts of lag, though we won’t take too much of that seriously for now since this isn’t the final retail product. But it feels comfortable in the hand, well-built and boasting the same leathery-textured battery cover as most of LG’s recent phones.

Phonescoop: The first thing you notice when you pick up the Optimus L9 is how light it is. It is one of the lightest phones I’ve held in a while. Combine the low weight and the thin profile, and this is one easy phone to hold. This phone will completely disappear when you put it in a pocket. It’s thin and light enough that you’ll forget it is there.

Android Central: Nothing the spec-conscious crowd will write home about, no? But here’s the thing: It’s a surprisingly solid entry-level device. You can’t quite appreciate just how light it is until you grab it…This is a buy-and-drive device, designed to be used out of the box, for folks who don’t want to do a whole lot of customization.

CNET: As LG’s top-tiered L-series handset, the LG Optimus L9 packs a punch with its dual-core CPU. In addition to these (hopefully) zippy internal speeds, the device will also run on T-Mobile’s 4G network. While I’ll withhold judgment until I get my hands on a review unit, the Optimus L9 is sporting some impressive specs that may be worth a glance for T-Mobile customers looking for a fast phone.
