Apple just took the wraps of its new iPhones. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ look exactly like we were expecting. But it’s not just the resolution that’s exciting here. The new displays use thinner backlights, and the LCD panel is made with … [read full article]

This time it’s personal, apparently, and T-Mobile wants you to join in on the action tomorrow during its Uncarrier 7.0 announcement. The company announced today that a live webcast will be available during the event so we can all keep our ears on all the action as it goes down. Sadly, from the wording in the PR release this morning, it sounds like it’s going to be audio only: “For all the news … [read full article]

New Moto X announced, model XT1092 is band 12 compatible

Although T-Mobile’s 700MHz network has only been tested in a few locations so far, not many customers have had a chance to experience its performance. Unlike the company’s higher frequencies, band 12 is touted as being stronger, and better at penetrating building walls, meaning you’ll get a steady LTE signal even when you’re indoors. Currently, only the Galaxy Avant is compatible but if recent news is anything to go by, there could be … [read full article]

Iliad purportedly in talks with private-equity firms to raise cash for T-Mobile bid

According to Bloomberg‘s sources, Iliad is talking to yet more companies in order to raise more capital for its attempt to take over T-Mobile. Iliad is a name which I (and I suspect, many of you) had never come across until it opted to submit an audacious bid to buy a 56% stake in T-Mobile US in July. The move was announced just days before Sprint [read full article]
