T-Mobile Wants The iPhone, Too

Now that AT&T’s exclusivity on the iPhone has finally ended with Verizon Wireless officially announcing the iPhone yesterday, it seems T-Mobile wants in on the iPhone as well. As you may recall, T-Mobile USA’s new CEO and President already has a relationship with Apple. Before becoming CEO of T-Mobile USA, Philipp Humm previously was CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland, where he introduced the iPhone to Germany in 2007. According to The Seattle Times, a T-Mobile spokeswoman stated, “We … [read full article]

Verizon, The iPhone And You – An Editorial

If you have been on the Internet at all over the past four days you probably know about the latest announcement.   Verizon held a rather exclusive press conference today to announce their partnership with Apple, allowing them to carry a CDMA version of the iPhone.   Guess what?  The sky hasn’t turned red, the earth hasn’t opened up, pigs aren’t flying and, most of all, twitter didn’t collapse, so this clearly wasn’t … [read full article]

T-Mobile Wants You To Know They Have A Great Reason For Carrying The iPhone Cable

So look, I’m sure the above reasoning is perfectly fine and true and all in all, it’s not a bad reason to carry iPhone accessories. Manufacturers produce the accessory for 99 cents, T-Mobile will then sell it for $14.99 and the bottom line will welcome the extra sales. My problem is, the iPhone has been out for four years, why bring out the accessory now? Did it just occur to someone that the iPhone … [read full article]

iPhone Cable Appears In T-Mobile Stores, Why?

David’s Update: I’ve amended the text below since at least a few took some of the wording out of context. This cable absolutely does NOT prove T-Mobile is getting the iPhone, especially tomorrow.  You shouldn’t return a recently purchased device waiting for this and you shouldn’t start camping outside your local T-Mobile.  The arrival of this cable is peculiar and the likely solution is that T-Mobile produced a 99 cent cable it can sell for … [read full article]

More iPhone Rumors, YAY!

Are you sick of this yet?  It seems like with every new week comes a new iPhone on T-Mobile rumor.  Is today’s rumor different?  Sure, I mean, I guess so.  The difference today is that Canada’s Quebecor launched a mobile service through Vidéotron.  This mobile service happens to use AWS, just like our lovely Magenta.  During a Q&A session, however, one of their executive vice presidents said that Apple is readying an AWS compatible … [read full article]

T-Mobile Set To Get iPhone 3GS Later This Year?

So here we go again. Yet another T-Mobile iPhone rumor has emerged, and the latest one comes from an editor over at Wired.com. Chris Anderson tweeted this evening that a T-Mobile manager casually mentioned to him that Magenta will in fact carry the iPhone this year, but not Apple’s newest and hugely popular iPhone 4. Instead Magenta will offer last year’s iPhone 3GS model. Take it for what its worth, but it seems as … [read full article]

Here We Go Again, T-Mobile and iPhone Rumors Persist

Another day, another rumor.  Yesterday we heard about merging with Sprint, but what about surpassing them?  Well, it is very possible that that could happen if this particular rumor came true.  It’s not the first time we have been on this roller coaster, but yet another analyst says the iPhone is coming to T-Mobile.  Tee Examiner’s source says “There were talks about it, then strong rumors. Then, there were problems with … [read full article]

Hey T-Mobile Users! Rooting & Jailbreaking No Longer Gives You Prison Fears

Here’s a bit of good news for those of you that love jailbreaking and unlocking your iPhones and for those that can’t live without rooting your Android handsets. Today, the United States government has announced that jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones, and rooting of Android phones is completely legal as long as they are not violating copyright laws. Although if rumors are true (fingers crossed), you won’t have much longer to worry about jailbreaking/unlocking to … [read full article]
