Google Voice now supports MMS sent by T-Mobile subscribers

If there’s one service I’ve been intensely jealous of watching the U.S. mobile scene from the UK, it’s Google Voice. And, although Google hasn’t really been paying much attention to it recently, it’s nice to know the service is becoming more useful to more people. However unintuitive the added new features might seem, they are – at least – something. Last week, Google announced that its Voice service would be adding support for … [read full article]

These changes come after a change to the long-standing unlock policy went into action this past May. T-Mobile then altered the new rules  a few days later after a petition was floated as a small group found the new set of policies to be less than agreeable. The $6 billion would break down into the $3 billion in cash previously thought but an additional $2 billion worth of spectrum and a roaming agreement valued at $1 billion would also be picked up by Deutsche Telekom. 8900

Soon, T-Mobile will be set up to allow corporate customers who use Blackberries to make calls over their office Wi-Fi connections without using up cell plan minutes (hey, this sounds familiar).  Then, as a neat trick, the call will be automatically switched to T-Mobiles network after said Blackberry user is outside of their Wi-Fi network’s range.  T-Mobile “will charge a flat monthly fee on top of cellular rates,” all in an effort to persuade business customers … [read full article]
