Android Activations Hit 900,000 Per Day, Andy Rubin Not Going Anywhere

The rumor mill is often a dangerous place and this weekend was a prime example of that as a weekend “story” spiraled out of control this weekend and had some believing the “father of Android,” Any Rubin was preparing his exit from Google. The good news is that Rubin quickly squashed those rumors on both Google+ and Twitter, adding that Android was now seeing over 900,000 daily activations. Quite the achievement for the … [read full article]

The Galaxy S III…Disappointment Or Give It To Me Now

As all the Galaxy S III details came out during yesterdays Samsung Mobile Unpacked event, first reactions were ultimately very different from what many had hoped to “feel.” For many, the Galaxy SIII launch was a disappointment, for others it was quite a step forward for Android. Last night, DroidDog’s own Joey Lehto took to the blog and wrote down his own thoughts on the Galaxy S III launch, and he wasn’t … [read full article]

Samsung Galaxy S III Spotted In Samsung Promotional Video At CES?

There’s some interesting hype going around the internet this morning about a smartphone mockup that surfaced in Samsung’s CES 2012 wrap-up video. If you hit the 7:10 mark, you’ll note a mocked up looking smartphone unlike anything Samsung currently has on the market. It’s likely nothing more than a photoshopped rendering, but given the super small bezel, rounded corners and the lack of info in the status bar — well, we’re guessing this … [read full article]

We feel compelled to remind people that there were multiple editions of … [read full article]

T-Mobile Picks Up “SnapPad” Trademark, New Tablet Incoming?

The US Patent and Trademark Office has often been a source of upcoming T-Mobile secret codenames and with the recent discovery of the “SnapPad” trademark we’re asking more questions. The trademark itself is meant for tablet computers along with T-Mobile picking up a number of domain names like T-MobileSnapPad.com and .net. We should note that it was back in December of 2010 that T-Mobile trademarked the “G-Slate” name which we … [read full article]
