<p>T-Mobile is reportedly set to unveil a new 3000-minute rate plan for $99.99 in just a few days. We first got wind of this thanks to a <a href="http://www.tmonews.com/2010/06/leaked-t-mobile-calender-contains-for-upcoming-devices/">leaked T-Mobile training calendar</a> that landed in the lap of the folks over at Phonedog. Our sources have dropped in some extra details that this will indeed launch July 7th with $10 add a line for the 3rd, 4th and 5th line. What’s interesting though is the unlimited Family Talk Even More plan already has unlimited minutes for the same $99.99…can we be looking at the first move in a rate plan increase? I don’t know any more than that right now, but the introduction of the rate plan certainly gets my eyebrow raised wondering why they would introduce at this price point. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.<br />

<p style="text-align: left;">As you may already be aware (its only been on the blog a <a href="http://www.tmonews.com/tag/project-dark/">few hundred times</a>) <a href="http://www.tmonews.com/2009/10/project-dark-is-a-go/">T-Mobile officially launched its newest rate plans</a> as of Sunday, October 25th 2009. T-Mobile announced a new approach to truly show itself as the cheapest carrier compared to AT&amp;T and Verizon. Yesterday during the &#8220;So You Think You Can Dance&#8221; show, T-Mobile aired its newest T-Mobile ad to explain the Even More Rate plans. And I have to say I&#8217;m impressed with T-Mobile. I believe the ad was a very effective way to introduce and educate people with the new plans that aren&#8217;t exposed to <a href="http://forums.tmonews.com/index.php">forums like TmoNews</a>. Enjoy the video above and feel free to express your thoughts in the comments. If you watched the ad yesterday, do you think it was effective? Why or why not?</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>NOTE: The video above IS NOT the new ad. </strong></p>

<p>After all the speculating, <a href="http://www.tmonews.com/?s=project+dark&amp;x=0&amp;y=0">“Project Dark”</a> is officially a go. The pricing is up on the T-Mobile website and it is exactly what we hoped <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">feared</span>. At first glance I’m not seeing any changes whatsoever from all the leaks, which may be a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know if anyone can really make that determination yet. Marketing is of course going to be the key factor here and we look forward to whatever T-Mobile brings to the table as they ramp up advertisements to the rumored tune of 40% this holiday season. Regardless of whatever marketing may come, we’re still super happy to see a new standard in the wireless industry with a no contract offering. It’s about time that the European style way of doing business made it over to US shores. Love it or hate it, it works quite well everywhere else in the world. So without further ado, we present to you, Project Dark. Time will tell today, as it’s just barely 9am in South Florida, if there are any more surprises in store&#8211;handsets, 3G, 4G or otherwise. We aren’t holding out hope for anything but we do love surprises!</p>

<p>You heard it here first, on April 15th T-mobile is going to be announcing major changes to their rate plans. We have NO idea what that means, if this is a public announcement or internal, but we know the announcement exists. On the announcement note however, <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/04/09/t-mobile-announces-april-21st-private-launch-event-in-nyc/">Engadget is reporting</a> that T-mobile has invited press to an event April 21st. <em>Our invitation may have gotten lost in the mail!</em>  Billed as a &#8220;private launch event,&#8221; the anticipation is for the next Android device combined with a cupcake announcement, or possibly the unveiling of the <a href="http://www.tmonews.com/2009/04/sidekick-pops-up-in-t-mobile-system/">next gen sidekick</a>. Could these two announcements go hand in hand or is T-mobile preparing to make the second half of April one hell of a good time? Guess only time will tell, but I think we can all agree the next few weeks could be very very exciting for the big T.<br />
