HTC Extends $100 Trade-In Offer Program To Purchase Date Of May 19th

HTC has gone and extended their HTC One trade-in program through May 19th. Previously, the HTC One trade-in offer had a cut off date of April 26th, but our guess is that with One inventory being so limited, HTC felt extending the offer was the right step. All you have to do is pre-register your email to qualify and receive a prepaid Visa card worth either $100 or the … [read full article]

HTC Re-Posts One Design Video, Diamond-Cutters And All

It’s a bit of a recap from a video posted by HTC at the official unveiling of the HTC One earlier this year, but a newly remastered version of the “The HTC One Design Story” is now available on YouTube. The video focuses on the company’s hardware construction process including diamond cutters, “zero-gap” construction, etching and all kinds of awesome engineering feats to make the device as beautiful as it is. A new report out of SamMobile is definitely one you should take with a hand full of grains of salt, but according to their source, Samsung is “worried” about the Galaxy S 4 build quality. As HTC chose to use an aluminum body with the One, Samsung is concerned that their device build isn’t up to par. Pre-Order The HTC One Direct From HTC, Ships April 18th

Here’s a bit of a kicker for those of us still eagerly awaiting T-Mobile’s announcement of an official HTC One release date. The manufacturers own “shop” page has placed the T-Mobile variant up for pre-order with shipping taking place on April 18th. With the 18th as a shipping date, my best guess is that we’re then looking at the 19th as an official release date, which does line up with other rumors I’ve … [read full article]

New HTC One Marketing Spot Highlights BlinkFeed And A Potato That Looks Like Elvis

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little more excited about the arrival of the HTC One over the Galaxy S 4. I’m a hardware person and I like quality — in that respect I have to give the nod to HTC for its aluminum build. What I’m not going to give HTC the nod for is this marketing spot…WHAT is going on? Standing on its own, BlinkFeed is novel way to keep … [read full article]

HTC One Takes To The Streets Right Next To Samsung’s Times Square Takeover

HTC’s clearly not wasting any opportunity to undermine Samsung, especially during their Times Square takeover with some guerrilla marketing tactics. While I stood in line and watched hired persons sporting HTC One gear pass out bottled water and hot chocolate, HTC had the One floating around Times Square just a few feet from Samsung’s Galaxy S 4 setup. Is this trolling or guerrilla marketing genius? You decide. YouTube
