There are some truly lucky people on this industry, and the people over at PhoneScoop fall into that category. Ignoring all this Android hubbub, they sought out the best of the best in mobile communication devices. I’m talking, of course, about the Nokia N900 phone, mobile computer, all in one and almighty gadget. Highlights of the device include an amazing ability to multitask, a Mozilla browser with full flash (the real deal, not flash lite), a sweet home panel system, fully function phone (I know there were some doubts and questions about that) and all around awesomeness (size aside). Don’t let me ruin it for you, go forth and enjoy the video ( notice the carrier it is running on) and don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments!
After that particularly galaxy sized update I came across a particular interesting video. One, its about the N900 (so it had me drooling) and two, its in Italian (Finally! all those classes have payed off!). While most of you may not be able to understand what is being said, you will surely be able to translate the video and how well the device works. Mostly, what can be understood is that this phone’s OS is extremely responsive, quite beautiful to use, Maemo looks amazing and there is a fancy rotary zoom gesture. After you watch this video, you will surely understand the universal language of love. Leave your thoughts in the comments
Are you a music lover? Do you still want to keep your designated media player but have a cool looking phone that is capable of playing music? Do you like external playback controls and are you a fan of the lower end? If so, this is the phone for you. The Nokia 5130 (yeah, remember that name from back in June), which will be available on September 16th, is an affordable music centered phone with stereo bluetooth connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera and a music player with external controls. The 5130 will also come in two colors (not sure what they are yet) and will replace the Nokia 5310 (well that seems backwards).
The all powerful FCC has come through again, like it always seems to do. This specific filing, however, is a bit interesting. You might be able to tell that the device shown in the ID placement drawing above depicts something a bit wide for a phone. This intriguing development makes it seem as though we are looking at an internet tablet from Nokia. How do we know this is bound for T-Mobile? Well, that’s a good question, but the SAR documentation reveals that this mysterious device is loaded with AWS 3G (sounds familiar huh?). If you care, this Nokia device is being referred to as the RX-51 (I hope its not like Area 51 and doesn’t actually exist, or does it?). Rumor (is it really a rumor when there are FCC files?) has it that this will be a Maemo 5 powered super phone (codename “Rover”) with a 3.5 inch WVGA screen and a slide out, three row qwerty keyboard.
