I think it goes without saying that release dates for new phones are among the most sought after pieces of information for the readers. With that in mind, I’m back again with some updates, some new info and all around confirmation of things already known. Let’s start with the Nokia 5230, aka Nuron, which remains on track for a March 17th launch with its awful name intact. The Webconnect Rocket, first previewed at Mobile World Congress and the first HSPA+ capable device for T-Mobile, will enter our atmosphere March 14th. The Dell product I believed was a netbook has been definitely confirmed to be just what I thought. In addition, my super sources have verified upcoming accessories labeled “Netbook Sleeve”, “Netbook VPC”, and “Wireless Mouse”. However, I hear that the launch will be limited to around 200-300 locations nationwide. I suppose that’s not surprising as I suspect that those stores would be selected based on proximity to corporate bodies such as the downtown of a major metro area. The Samsung T469 Gravity 2 in Deep Ocean Blue will drop around March 3rd but will be far overshadowed by what comes later in the month. The HTC device we’re all anticipating, the HTC HD2, still has a launch date of March 24th. The Zeppelin, aka Cliq XT, is on the calendar for a March 10th launch. The photographed yet still shadowed in secrecy MyTouch Slide, aka MyTouch 2, is still scheduled for a May 19th launch.
Ok, so all that is nice, but is there anything new? The Samsung T479, known as the Gravity 3, will be dropping in both Indigo and Rum variations on June 23rd. The Gravity 3 won’t have June 23rd all to itself as the Samsung T669 will also be dropping in the “Steel” color. What’s really interesting here is the addition of the LG GS505 Navy Blue coming June 30th. I saw this one hit the FCC last week but, as of yet, details are totally unknown and the FCC gives us nothing good to work with.
That’s all for now!!

If you’re one that often purchases your electronic products from Best Buy (who wouldn’t?), it looks like both the Motorola Cliq XT and Nokia Nuron are headed to your nearest Best Buy location. The Cliq XT coming in at a $449.99 retail price tag, will be $69.99 with a 2 year contract upgrade (Existing customers) and $99.99 with a new 2 year contract activation (New customers). On the other hand the Nokia Nuron (aka XpressMusic 5230), will cost you $299.99 retail, and on contract the entry level handset will run you $29.99 with a 2 year contract for both existing and new customers. Note, Best Buy contract pricing may differ from T-Mobile pricing. We’re still expecting the Nuron for a March 17th release and the Cliq XT launch on March 10th officially from T-Mobile.

While it’s only been a few days since we first got wind of the Nokia “Nuron”, aka Nokia 5230, the name hasn’t gotten any better. Dropping March 17th as we first predicted, the Nuron will come in with some 3G goodness, a 3.2” touchscreen and the Ovi Application Store. Interestingly enough this phone is being billed to both “Connected Socializers ages 20-40. “ Ok. Sure. While it’s certainly not going to have the appeal of say the HD2 or the Nexus One, the combination of a touchscreen and the Ovi apps store might produce a winner. Look for it March 17th.

While we have no reason to doubt the authenticity of such images, this one comes the way of PPCGeeks.com and a user on their forums. A few notables here are the launch date of the HTC HD2 on 3/24, Moto Cliq XT (aka Zeppelin) on 3/10 as expected and the Nokia Nuron, on 3/17. First things first, the Nokia Nuron and Moto Cliq XT are AWFUL names. Seriously, what does the XT stand for? Extra Tall? Extra Thin? The Nokia Nuron? That is just too easy to make fun of so I will just let that go. Either way, we’ve already been confirming the dates for the XT (hehehehe) and the Nokia 5230 aka Nuron (AWFUL!!!) for some time now. Of course, I know our readers, you never mind reading anything that confirms dates. So while again, we can’t confirm the above image as authentic, we have no reason to suspect anything is fishy here.
Seriously T-Mobile, the Cliq XT, Nuron? Have we just started throwing dates at the alphabet on the wall and voila, names?

So here we go, the rumors and the leaks regarding new phones just keep on cranking from TmoNews. We’ve been uncovering quite a bit in the past few days and we’re ready to again confirm some dates and add some new ones. Regarding that MyTouch “Slide” we’ve been discussing, look likes its dropping 5/17 in any color you want, so long as its black, red and white. That Motorola Android phone we’ve been hearing about for March 10th? Looks like it goes under another nickname, Zeppelin. Remember that from the leaked Motorola Android Roadmap that broke this past October? Regarding that HTC HD2 so many of you have been asking for the drop date on, once again a March date looks good to go. Still fighting for its market share, Nokia looks to drop at least one new device on the big Magenta. Back in early November, the FCC gave some hints toward the Nokia 5230 complete with AWS bands, expect that on March 17th as well. That Garmin aka “Columbus” phone we hinted to last week? Looking to drop May 5th. Something from HTC is dropping on February 10th and we’re still of the mind it’s the MyTouch 1.2, or the regular MyTouch with a 3.5 mm handset jack. Comes in Black and White.
Here is the real kicker though, our ninja who is definitely on our trusted tipster list says that at the end of March, expect something from Dell. Now here is the real mind game, he said it doesn’t look as though it’s a Dell phone, but something else. Can we finally be seeing T-Mobile jumping into the Netbook game? This is something we are DEFINTELY keeping an eye on!
