Will SoftBank turn its attention to Vodafone after being put off T-Mobile?

Will they, won’t they? A month back it seemed like SoftBank’s CEO, Masayoshi Son had just one thing on his mind: Buying T-Mobile and merging it with his other property, Sprint. To most of Team Magenta, it sounded like a bad idea right from the off. Just when Tmo seemed to be doing really well, here comes news that it might get swallowed up by a bigger company from another land. For some, … [read full article]

U.S. Cellular becomes latest to imitate T-Mobile, with its contract-free “Simple Connect” plans

We’re almost used to it by now. T-Mobile does something awesome, and someone else copies. More recently, it was Sprint’s attempt to copy Uncarrier 4.0′s offer to pay off a customer’s ETF with another carrier to switch and join its network that got the headlines. Today, it’s U.S. Cellular’s turn. The carrier’s Simple Connect plans were launched today and are almost a direct copy of … [read full article]

HTC One M8 review – The best Android phone just got better

With 2013′s HTC One, the Taiwanese manufacturer set the standard for Android device hardware manufacturing and design. Its aluminum unibody paired with awesome components and performance made it last year’s best smartphone (in the eyes of many). This year, it’s back with a new shape, better performance, better hardware design and a weird camera set-up. But can it hold a light to its predecessor? Absolutely. It launches in Magenta flavor on April 11, … [read full article]

Survey: T-Mobile, Verizon offer most “bang for buck”

Things have improved drastically for T-Mobile since the Uncarrier movement began last year. In that time, it’s shaken up the industry by ditching contracts, offering unlimited data for a great price and rolling out LTE at lightning pace to over 200 million PoPs. But all this is just a great collection of milestones and stats if it doesn’t impact the way consumers think. Thankfully, they’re in agreement. Not only have subscribers been joining … [read full article]

As part of the deal, the company supported her “Can’t remember to forget you” single launch as well as offering access to an exclusive concert at Bryant Park in New York. Now, with the launch of her new album just a week ago, T-Mobile is going to be offering even more exclusive content and offers for its customers. Analysts predict success for T-Mobile throughout 2014 thanks to Uncarrier momentum

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that T-Mobile’s Uncarrier movement is a big hit. It’s not just bringing in more customers for T-Mobile than it’s had in years, it’s also forcing other carriers to change their ways and compete. The most recent example of this was Sprint’s promotion, offering up to $650 to customer for trading in, and switching networks. Essentially, a point-by-point copy of … [read full article]

Check out Sprint’s new offer, seem familiar?

Yesterday, it was revealed that Sprint would be offering customers a chance to earn up to $650 to switch to its Framily plan. Sound familiar? It should. It’s pretty much a term-for-term copy of T-Mobile’s Uncarrier 4.0 “Contract Freedom” phase. But, unlike Tmo’s offer, it’s only for a limited time between April 4th and May 8th. Sprint will give customers up to $300 service credit for trading in their old phone with Sprint … [read full article]
