Google Maps Navigation Comes to “Donut” Android

nav-gallery-17

Anyone who has been following the launch of the Verizon based Motorola Droid was bound to be envious of a major feature added in by Google. Google Navigation aka Google Maps on steroids, offers full navigation to help you find every In-N-Out Burger known to man, as pictured above.  Originally thought to be offered to all Android devices sporting 2.0 and up, Google has gone and made some happy Android users by allowing those with “Donut” based … [read full article]

T-Mobile Talks Android Stats

T-Mobile, being the very first carrier to bring Android to US shores, knows a thing or two about it. From the G1, MyTouch, Motorola Cliq and the forthcoming Behold 2, T-Mobile is rolling in Android goodness. T-Mobile CTO Cole Brodman, with whom we are beginning to closely associate all things T-Mobile and Android, spoke at the Open Mobile Summit in San Francisco today. Discussing T-Mobile’s Android commitment, Brodman shared some statistics regarding … [read full article]

Handy Comparison Shot For T-Mobile Android

One of our super ninjas just dropped this little goody in my inbox. I don’t know if its coincidental or absolutely planned that it drops on the day of the Cliq pre-order but I’m going to say it’s likely the former. Not much explaining needed other than to say we’re sorry the Samsung Behold II isn’t included in this list because we would love to know what’s under the hood … [read full article]

MyTouch Price Drop FTW!

When the MyTouch3G launched back in early August, one of the earliest complaints was the high price. Offered at $199, many bloggers, including myself, couldn’t understand why T-mobile would risk such a price when the iPhone 3G was coming in a full 100 dollars lower. Well, a compromise must have been made in the hallways of Bellevue (that or sales have slipped), as tomorrow brings a $50 price drop. Good for new lines and upgrades, the price … [read full article]

Oprah $100 Savings Is Now Over

For those of you still looking to pick up some savings on the MyTouch courtesy of our friend Oprah, the offer is no longer on the table. Quantities were limited on the deal and news has come down that the offer is no longer valid. This was an awesome little offering and while we are sorry it’s over, the pro-active showing T-mobile exhibited here to advertise its flagship product is … [read full article]

Oprah Rocks Out With T-mobile

Look, let me just throw this out there, I’ve managed to keep secret for some time now my desire to watch Oprah re-runs late at night. The way she consoles/counsels guests and feels their pains and of course, the way she gives out free stuff makes staying up late with Oprah a secretive but joyful experience.  As Oprah celebrates her 24th season kickoff today in my hometown of Chicago, T-mobile is helping the celebration as co-sponsor of … [read full article]

Unboxing Goodness: MyTouch 3G

We all knew it was bound to happen sometime soon, an actual MyTouch 3G unboxing video! Be sure to turn your speakers up if you wanna hear the (very low) audio and keep in mind that it cuts out at 1:22 so no, it’s not your speakers. What more can be said? I’ll let the video do the talking:

T-mobile To Launch "Many" Android Devices In 2009!

androidtmobile

Well this is the exact kind of news that brightens up the day for me when I blog! Cole Brodman, T-mobile USA CTO recently spoke to Om Malik at his blog GigaOM and had this to say about Android and T-mobile: “We are looking to launch multiple Android-based devices in the second half of this year with three partners.” Ok, that sounds good to me, anyone else have a complaint about multiple manufacturers producing Android equipment?! Didn’t … [read full article]
