Well this is the exact kind of news that brightens up the day for me when I blog! Cole Brodman, T-mobile USA CTO recently spoke to Om Malik at his blog GigaOM and had this to say about Android and T-mobile: “We are looking to launch multiple Android-based devices in the second half of this year with three partners.” Ok, that sounds good to me, anyone else have a complaint about multiple manufacturers producing Android equipment?! Didn’t think so. We can take a pretty good guess at at least two of the partners, the obvious being HTC MyTouch and Samsung, with the third possibly, in the guess of this writer, Huawei, having heard rumblings/rumors of their desire to bring Android to the United States. Aside from all the phone talk, Brodman continued to hint at Android coming to Netbooks, going so far as saying he has even seen demo versions of devices running the Android platform. Hmmmmm, interesting!!

So what is revealed by the above image exactly? Android fans may take notice of the HTC T-mobile “Mytouch,” which isn’t the first time we have seen this name come under suspicision of being the HTC Magic. While we still can’t pinpoint an official release date, the name decision and inclusion into T-mobile inventory gets us one step closer to launch. Â Most important though, a Merlot Mytouch? That’s going to be one hell of a color choice! Touchpro2 fans take notice that the above shot features the Touchpro2 name without any attempt to shake up what it will be, just the Touchpro2. So really nothing else to report other than the fact that once a device is in inventory, we expect the countdown begins to stocked shore shelves.

Via a very lucky T-mobile customer who was selected at random to participate in a market survey from T-mobile, our tipster was able to take some snapshots of possible names for the codenamed: “Sapphire/Magic/Dream.” We have the above named “G3, myTouch 3G with Google, Genius 3G with Google, and Prism 3G with Google.” Not really sure how customers were selected or what else the market survey inquired about, but the above picture and those following the jump are very interesting indeed. So just chalk this up to further confirmation that this device will indeed be making its way to T-mobile, following the FCC post and the release date calender I think its pretty safe to keep calling this one on its way.
Unfortunately we only got 3 out of the 4 named shots but I’m guessing you guys will have a preference regardless. So whats your name choice, sound off in the comments?
Two more pics follow after the jump!

Certainly a great deal of you have been waiting for further word regarding the device codename “Sapphire.” Looks like this mornings news is going to bring some joy to those of who have been waiting for a little more official word on whether or not this device would make it stateside. Having already been teased with T-mobile markings, compliments of the FCC we have better word, or should I say better pictures that indicate T-mobile USA, our beloved magenta will indeed receive this Android device sometime later this year. We’ve been calling this one for a while, and now it looks just that much safer to say its really true, its really real and its coming. Soon.Â
