Well, what do we have here? Word coming from our friends at PocketNow indicates T-Mobile has the “G4x” on the horizon, an Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Android smartphone. Tracfone To Launch Handset On T-Mobile’s HSPA+ Network?

TraceFone’s Straight Talk service will soon see a high-end Android smartphone running on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. According to BTIG Analyst Walter Piecyk, Straight Talk will launch the LG Optimus 2x later this month supporting T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. Piecyk did not offer any sort of official pricing for the phone, but he does expect it to retail for somewhere around $300. As of this morning LG has outlined on its Facebook page its schedule for upgrading its international line of smartphone handsets to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
