Potential Update for G1 Will Need Your Help!

T-Mobile will be doing a software trial for G1 users only. This will NOT be the rumored Eclair update, sorry to say. However, this trial will reflect features similar to Google Voice integrated into the stock dialer app. It will allow you to set numbers to be ignored, integrate Visual Voicemail, and  and some other goodies. Once this software comes out of trial status, there will be other features, too, but we can’t talk about those just … [read full article]

Well the rumor wheel is a’turning. According to the guys over at AndroidSPIN, the G1, father of the Android device is set to get an over-the-air update to Éclair, 2.0 OR 2.1. Unfortunately, their “source” was unable to specify which version the G1 faithful would be getting.  For the moment, we’re filing this firmly away in the rumor category as we’ve yet to hear anything official about upcoming Android updates from T-Mobile herself. We’re hoping … [read full article]

Anyone who has been following the launch of the Verizon based Motorola Droid was bound to be envious of a major feature added in by Google. Handy Comparison Shot For T-Mobile Android

One of our super ninjas just dropped this little goody in my inbox. I don’t know if its coincidental or absolutely planned that it drops on the day of the Cliq pre-order but I’m going to say it’s likely the former. Not much explaining needed other than to say we’re sorry the Samsung Behold II isn’t included in this list because we would love to know what’s under the hood on that device. Thankfully, we … [read full article]

Don’t Want To Wait For MotoBlur? Don’t!

I imagine Sanjay Jha is going to watch this video and begin planning to drop a nuclear weapon on this individual. This clever Android hacker managed to get his hands on the Cliq rom and ported it over to his G1. With the Google/Cyanogen mess still fresh in the minds of Android hackers, we cannot imagine this is going to sit well in the halls of Motorola. We’re counting down to the cease and desist. [singlepic=5,400,300] We recently obtained some very nice pictures in our inbox showcasing a much better view of the Dash 3G compared to the G1 and, of course, the MyTouch 3G. Doesn’t seem to leave much to the imagination when it comes to the thickness of a phone you can expect to put in your pocket – or wherever else you choose to store it. Current Dash users looking to upgrade can look forward to buttons … [read full article]
