Remember back in early January, when we were the first to inform you about the myTouch 1.2 and its release date which our sources claimed to be February 10th? Now, thanks to one of our trusty tipsters, T-Mobile has confirmed the existence of the myTouch 1.2 via their internal systems. Additionally, T-Mobile also states the reason as to why the myTouch 3G (Black) and myTouch Fender LE were removed from the Care Upgrade Program. The inventory levels on the myTouch 3G (Black) were limited in order to prepare for the myTouch 3G “refresh”. And it looks like the Fender Edition did sell out, because of the “high demand” and partly because of the limited quantity. The new myTouch 3G with 3.5mm headphone jack is scheduled to release February 10th (just like we told you), and it will replace the original myTouch 3G (Black and white models). T-Mobile states that there will be a “limited supply,” so it looks like T-Mobile isn’t expecting a whole lot of sales to come from the new myTouch 1.2, and quite frankly I don’t see this device selling out. UPDATE: According to our sources, the myTouch 1.2 will include 256MB Of RAM (same as the Fender LE), and Swype.

One of our sources hit us up today with the image above. Apparently, the MyTouch Fender Limited Edition will no longer be available for existing customers that want to upgrade to the handset. Additionally, the original MyTouch 3G in the shade of black, will no longer be available for upgrade either. Our sources are claiming that the reason for the Fender LE removal is because the handset is out of stock in the warehouse. Did the MyTouch 3G Fender really sell out that quickly? I’m not a big fan of Eric Clapton, but the Fender Edition definitely looks sick! Also could the removal of these handsets have something to do with the upcoming MyTouch 1.2, slated for a February 10th release?

One of our ninjas just hit us up with some bad news for those of you that purchased a Fender myTouch 3G. T-Mobile will not, I repeat, will not offer returns on the myTouch LE Fender. According to T-Mobile the myTouch 3G LE Fender is not eligible for returns even during the Buyer’s Remorse Period. Apparently all Limited Edition handsets cannot be returned. So that means, one you purchase it, you’re stuck with it, that is unless you throw it up for sale on eBay where you might have a slight chance of getting rid of it. While I would guess that probably a grand total of zero people are losing sleep regarding the MyTouch LE RAM “debate,” I figured the above screen shot would settle the matter. For those who you haven’t paid any attention whatsoever to this “issue,” rumors had sparked that the Fender MyTouch LE came with 288mb of ram rather than the current MyTouch3G’s 192mb. Judging by the image above we’re splitting the difference and going with 256mb, same as the Motorola Cliq. So in case you were losing sleep over this, consider the matter closed. Update: As it turns out, these are from a live eBay auction so if you really want to own this device 3 weeks early, hit the link!

Well perhaps its just 5:30 in the morning and I’m not quite sure what’s going on but the overnight was good enough to grace me with purported images of the MyTouch V1.2. Looking almost exactly like the old one (as expected) the only noticeable addition here is the placement of the 3.5 mm headset jack on the top just like the Fender LE edition. That’s really about it as the second image of just the back shows no distinguishable markings that separate it from the looks of original MyTouch3G. Actually we take that back, like the Fender LE, it’s possible this MyTouch also has the reported additional on board ram for some extra juice and multitasking horsepower. So if you’ve been holding off for this long on buying the MyTouch3G because of a lack of a 3.5 mm handset, your prayers have been answered.

Really, while the addition of a 3.5 mm headset jack is nice, it’s what should have been from the onset of the device itself so let’s talk when you add a Qwerty keyboard to the device, mmmkay?
