T-Mobile Teams Up With Valmont for First Ever BVLOS Flight

Another feat has been accomplished by T-Mobile today. The company, together with Valmont Industries Inc., has announced the completion of an industry-first long-distance beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone inspection flight powered by 5G.  This accomplishment gives room for the possibility of BVLOS drone operations in the country. T-Mobile exec shares thoughts on current FAA concerns over C-Band 5G

With the aviation industry’s concerns over 5G, T-Mobile President of Technology, Neville Ray, turned to the company’s website to give his input.  In the blog post, Ray discloses that T-Mobile does not use C-Band, which is where the concern comes from.
