Good afternoon TmoNews minions readers! There has been a lot going on in Magenta’s world in the past few weeks, and it looks like the news just keeps on coming. Yesterday we received quite a few emails from our sources stating that a new Android device was in the works, codenamed the MyTouch Slide/MyTouch 2. Our sources pegged the device for a May 17th release. Today another one of our trusty ninjas has hit us up claiming that T-Mobile has more up its sleeve. T-Mobile is rumored to be releasing another Motorola Android device (Sholes Tablet?) on March 10th. Our source also claims that on March 17th, T-Mobile will be releasing a Nokia Smartphone (N900 anyone?). Sony Ericsson lovers if the original Equinox color didn’t appeal to you, you can pick up the Equinox January 20th in the shade of Ocean Blue. Our sources are also stating that the Samsung T139 will be hitting the shelves February 3rd. Hooray! First in line for this one!
As always all these dates are super tentative and subject to change.
Stay tuned and leave your thoughts and hopes in the comments!
After enjoying that nice little unboxing we showed you yesterday (Courtesy of PhoneDog) it’s time to get your own hands on the newest Ericsson to T-Mobile’s lineup. As we stated before the Equinox is $49.99 with a new 2-year agreement and $159.99 retail, of course you could get yourself one of the new Even More Plus plans and divide that retail price into 20 easy payments. Do you plan on getting the Equinox? Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments!
Just yesterday the T-Mobile Equinox was officially announced, and today we have unboxing glory! I don’t know about you but I’m a HUGE fan of Noah’s PhoneDog unboxings. Today it looks like he has managed to get his hands on the much anticipated Sony Ericsson Equinox. With the Equinox officially releasing tomorrow (October 28th) here is some unboxing pleasure. Without further ado, enjoy the unboxing and don’t forget to leave your thoughts/opinions in the comments!
Sony Ericsson fans thou Equinox has cometh (almost)! Today T-Mobile has officially announced the Sony Ericsson Equinox. This being T-Mobile’s second Sony Ericsson device (SE TM506 was the first after a very long time) looks like it will be replacing the TM506. We had already posted a while back a “leak” that this device was to land on T-Mobile’s horizon on October 28th, and we were correct! If you aren’t already aware of what the Equinox packs, let me fill you in with the details:
-3.2 Megapixel camera with Video Capture
-Stereo Bluetooth
-Pulsating Colors Coordinated With Caller ID
-3G-Enabled
-Magical Powers
-GPS
This baby will be launching with a $49.99 2-year contract price-point. Also, if you’re into phone manuals (nothing wrong with that) you can view the T-Mobile branded Sony Ericsson Equinox manuals here and here. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!
For those of you who still have yet to jump on the Blackberry, Android, and WinMo ship phones, others phones do still exist. Case in point, the new Sony Ericsson Equinox that boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera and (GASP!) picture messaging! Take that iPhone owners, beat you by 3 days! We had an inkling of this phones arrival at T-mobile all the way back in early May but the powers that be have decided an October launch is the perfect time to unveil this Sony Ericsson goody. Sadly, this is just another middle of the road flip phone for T-mobile and its renewed agreement with SE and I’m beginning to think that may be all we will see out of the deal. Sony Ericsson makes some high end, quality devices and when are they coming to T-mobile shores? The CS8, which was canceled or shelved and yet AT&T delivered the very same phone. Tmo, whats up? Can’t a dude get an Xperia running Android up in this here?
Specs: 3.2 Megapixel camera, Stereo Bluetooth, Pulsating colors coordinated with caller ID …currently we don’t know much else other than the standard set of features. We expect they will fall in line with the T707.
Release Date: Releasing October 28th 2009 Now Available
Price: $49.99 with new 2-year contract
Notes: We believe this to be the replacement of the Tm506, one of the Sony’s less than memorable devices in recent memory. While still a reliable device and with a usually better than average camera function this will be a great little pick up for the user who doesn’t need bells and whistles.
