The 4G Wars Are Definitely On Now

Following Verizon’s LTE announcement this morning, it’s really quite clear that the battle for the “4G” speed war has begun.  Early tests from bloggers and journalists  testing the Verizon network are coming back with very impressive results, although they all admit the results are on a network with almost zero load on it.  Up until this point however, T-Mobile has been widely heralded as the speed leader, a prize they may only hold … [read full article]

Verizon Claims Fastest 4G Network; How Should T-Mobile Respond?

Well, what do we have here?  It’s another entry into the “4G” war by big red Verizon herself.  The above image, via Twitter, shows that Verizon is ready to tackle the 4G issue and formally enter the 4G war.  This time the ad hits AT&T where Verizon has enjoyed hitting them in the past, their 3G network.  Anyone remember the “There is a map for that” ad campaign?  While T-Mobile has enjoyed … [read full article]

T-Mobile Teams Up With AT&T & Verizon To Bring NFC Mobile Wallet System To The U.S

Today, T-Mobile announced that it is teaming up with the other two major U.S carriers, AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless to bring Isis, a mobile payment system to customers. Isis will use near-field communication (NFC) based technology to allow smartphone owners to use their handsets as a form of payment, thus replacing the need to carry around credit cards or even cash. Currently, there are no NFC enabled smartphones on the market, but one is coming … [read full article]

T-Mobile Takes Yet Another Swipe At AT&T With Online Only Ad

Oh T-Mobile, how we LOVE this new marketing approach, sticking it to AT&T! This commercial which T-Mobile unveiled earlier today via Twitter appears to be an online only “special” but we do recommend pushing this to television networks nationwide immediately. It’s just that good. Not good in the sense that the acting is fabulous or that the point is serious, it’s just funny.  Don’t take my word for it though, watch and enjoy! … [read full article]

Begun, These 4G Wars Have

The Twitter phrase and new moniker “4Gwars” started this week with T-Mobile releasing its marketing and branding as a 4G mobile providerMuch to the ire of Sprint and now AT&T,  this has begun and will likely continue to be the subject of a “little” spat between the carriers.  The thing is, I’m almost 100% positive that was T-Mobile’s intention.  T-Mobile knows the ITU ruling and what really is required for … [read full article]

AT&T Tells T-Mobile “What’s Up” On Facebook, Still Can’t Connect A Call

Seriously, AT&T, seriously?  Going onto the T-Mobile Facebook page and calling them out for their advertisement?  Aside from the obvious humor of this whole thing playing out over Facebook, AT&T really wants to pick a fight.  I mean Sprint had a sense of humor but you’re doing it on Facebook?  Lame, very lame, even more lame than your first attempt at calling them out. AT&T, believe me when I say … [read full article]

And The T-Mobile 4G Attack Continues, Do You Like it?

I think it’s safe to say that T-Mobile has officially taken the gloves off and is ready to begin a whole new era in their marketing campaign.  I came across the above picture last night which has likely been up on the myTouch4G website from the day prior, but it serves as yet another reminder that T-Mobile is directly attacking AT&T and more specifically, the iPhone.  So the question I want to pose is … [read full article]

AT&T Responds To T-Mobile’s 4G Network Claims, Does A Bad Job At It

Look, as I usually say, this is a fan site at its core so you can expect a positive T-Mobile spin on posts like this one.  I can’t argue the validity of AT&T’s point since I really wasn’t even aware they had their own HSPA+ network, which I guess is part of their argument.   “We have what you have and don’t call it what you call it.”  The bottom line is that T-Mobile is … [read full article]

T-Mobile Preparing AT&T Marketing Smackdown

Word coming down from our ninjas says that our readers should pay extra attention to NCIS LA, Dancing with the Stars, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report tonight to watch T-Mobile lay the smack down on AT&T. Unfortunately we can’t get any details as to what exactly will be said or shown during this commercial (s) but we’re pretty sure this is just the beginning salvo in T-Mobile’s new “we are going on … [read full article]
