While today’s attention will almost undoubtedly be focused on the Nexus One, for the last two and a half weeks or so I have been playing with the Blackberry 9700 Bold. I’ve kept the phone far longer than I was supposed to as I simply didn’t want to give it back. I love it even with all the faults of the Blackberry OS, and there are not many. The 9700 is a magnificent device for both the power user and the individual who simply relies on email.
While the launch is three days away, what is quickly becoming everyone’s favorite Blackberry is arriving in T-Mobile stores. Let me repeat that, the 9700 availability date is three days away (I’m excited). If the reports are to be believed, then T-Mobile is preparing for this phone to sell like hot cakes, since the stores are supposed to have a minimum of 25 each (Our sources are saying that the high end will be 36 though). I can see this thing selling out, so get there when you see fit. Leave your thoughts in the comments!
We’ve been waiting a long time for this 3G ‘Berry and now that its finally only 11 days away (Business customers November 9th), and now its time for the many reviews! These reviews should help individuals that aren’t so sure about the 9700 decide whether or not this will suit their needs. Check out the review links below! And don’t forget to check back as we will be updating this post with new reviews! So without further ado I shall leave you to foam drool.
Okay after confiming from several of our sources, we have confirmed that the 16th of November will be the launch of the Bold 9700. Twelve days away, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 looks like it has already landed in some CrackBerry Forum user’s hands. The user was kind enough to share a pic as well as the included accessories.

We are already aware of the $199.99 2-year commitment launch price, but we have been hearing T-Mobile will be bumping down the price to $149.99 with a 2-year commitment on Black Friday. Note this is not confirmed and is considered a rumor. Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments!
It seems like we already know everything we need to about the Blackberry 9700 (T-Mobile just thinks we don’t). T-Mobile, in an effort to entice more corporate customers, has started issuing various invites to a special Blackberry event about a phone with WiFi enabled calling. I don’t know about you, but I am stumped on what it could be. Anyways, I wish I could attend because they are offering up breakfast for attendees (I hope they have waffles), and less importantly, a brand new Blackberry 9700. One of these super special events is in New York on November 5th, while a similar party will be held in Los Angeles On November 3rd. Tell us what you think in the comments (especially if you are lucky enough to get an invite, anyone?).
While this is not the announcement most of you are waiting patiently for, it’s good news all the same. T-Mobile, along with AT&T, will formally announce the Blackberry Bold 2 (9700) on October 21st. Despite the fact that the announcement date most likely will not coincide with a release date, we doubt you’ll be waiting long. We’re still calling for a November 4th/11th launch of this, T-Mobile’s first 3G Blackberry.
You don’t mind more 9700 photos, and even a video, do you? What am I kidding, you are probably begging for it. What may be the hottest Blackberry out there (at least for T-Mobile) has been caught on video, and captured in photographs, again. While I don’t understand the Vietnamese of the Tinh Te poster, phone comparisons and love are universal (oh, and we can just forget that this particular 9700 is AT&T bound). Head past the break for a few photos, or click the link for all of the shots. Tell us what you think in the comments!
For all of those Blackberry users out there, you must be about to die waiting for the first 3G Blackberry on T-Mobile. Well, now you can drool over some more pictures of the 9700, with a beautiful wood background as well. Just as a reminder, the 9700 has 3G support, WiFi with UMA, GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD slot and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Things are still looking good for a November launch, possibly the 11th. I don’t know what you think about this phone, but I think it looks great. Head on past the break (or click the link) for more pictures and don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments!

While we aren’t selling this as 100% concrete, the boys over at Boygenius are lending a little more credence to our pre-sale/release date for the Motorola Cliq. BoyGenius is calling for a November 11th date, which perfectly sides with our Oct 19th pre-sale date and 3 week to ship timeframe. On the other side of things, they are also calling for the same drop date for the Blackberry 9700. Our ninjas pegged this as a first week in November drop date, but the 11th works as well if Boygenius pans out to be right. If both phones drop the same day, that’s going to make one hell of a day for T-mobile employees and even if they drop right around each other, it’s just more for T-mobile fans to rejoice about come holiday gift shopping. As the end of the month approaches, we hope to hear a little more as promised from T-mobile regarding Cliq launch details so anyone pining for this device need only wait a little longer before they can mark that calendar. Either way, start saving your pennies now boys and girls!
Knowing WP7S will be limited with no Multitasking and no Copy and Paste, are any future HD2 buyers actually happy it won't update? http://twitter.com/tmonews4 hours ago
