Band 12 support arrives for Samsung Galaxy Avant in latest software update

Starting today, T-Mobile is beginning the rollout of a software update which finally brings Band 12 support to the Samsung Galaxy Avant. Although it’s not an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it will enable those with the budget smartphone to access the carrier’s stronger, low-band network. T-Mobile gives Cincinnati’s LTE network a speed bump

A couple of readers got in touch with us over the past couple of days to inform us of some very interesting and promising network news from Cincinnati. It looks almost certain that T-Mobile has upgraded the network to a 10+10 network meaning residents on T-Mobile now have twice as many “data lanes” to use. Ericsson chosen by T-Mobile to build out the new 700MHz and 1900MHz LTE networks

Ericsson revealed yesterday evening that it’s been chosen by T-Mobile to build out the company’s newer 700MHz and 1900MHz LTE networks. And the news should come as no surprise, since the Swedish company has been used in the past to build a lot of the first T-Mo LTE network.
