As my inbox continues to fill up with the HTC leaked roadmap, I have tried to address the notion that none of these phones are shown to be available for T-Mobile USA. For that matter, no US carrier is shown to be a possible recipient of these phones and why? A cursory glance at the spec sheet shows no compatible US 3G bands, not for T-Mobile or any other carrier that has 3G offerings stateside. … [read full article]
Once again our old friend, SVP of Engineering Neville Ray spoke to Moconews regarding T-Mobile’s commitment to serving 200 million users with 3G by the end of 2009. Once again, Ray reiterated the promise of HSPA 7.2 and HSPA+ 3G services, both of which will start widespread rollouts next year. There to defend the carrier’s role was T-Mobile’s SVP of Engineering Neville Ray, who also spoke to Moconews after the event. He said they’ll be … [read full article]
Previously, Sony’s newest flagship mobile device, the Xperia X10 was shown to have T-Mobile USA 3G bands. Quickly enough, most sites slated a AT&T launch in the States. But according to the folks over at AndroidGuys, the Xperia X10 seems to have two variants. According to the document they have received, the X10 is supposedly headed to Bell/AT&T AND our very own Magenta. The document shows that variant 1 has the 1700MHz band, which is … [read full article]
Let me just preface this post with a total rumor disclaimer, to be read only with serious grains of salt. That being said, information has been passed along to me in a very James Bond type way from a trusty ninja who has yet to lead me astray. The information contains detail regarding the so called “Google phone.” According to this super ninja, magenta has landed the “Google Phone,” aka codename “Passion” (which we believe to … [read full article]
Following up the recent images that were leaked of the rumored Motorola Sholes Tablet, it looks like this baby wants some attention. Still classified under the RUMORS column, the Sholes Tablet has a pretty good chance of hitting our very own Magenta. In regards to the outside casing, the Sholes looks extremely similar to the Motorola Droid. After looking closely, and deciding whether or not I was going insane seeing things, the leaked image shows … [read full article]

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s Friday, and a particularly good one for me, thanks for asking (how about yours?). Well maybe your day hasn’t been as good as mine, but don’t worry, I have help. The funny people over at College Humor have given the MyTouch 3G, and Android, some love and what they have to say is pretty convincing, not to mention funny. I don’t know about you, but I … [read full article]
Saschasegan of PCMag is one of my favorite twitter contacts and I came across an article written yesterday discussing Open Source and what intrigued me were the closing paragraphs. He’s made no bones about being celebratory over T-Mobile’s Even More/Even More Plus plans and the way T-Mobile has attempted to change the rate plan game in the wireless industry. The reason to bring this forward is Sascha’s notion of how T-Mobile should “flirt with the geeks to … [read full article]

The list of phones these days that actually gets me into a frenzy remains remarkably short considering my nerd-like excitement over new devices. That being said, the Samsung Behold 2 was on the short list of phones I was really looking forward to getting for a hands-on evaluation and, thanks to the fine folks at Samsung, TmoNews has its very first review device.
