T-Mobile “Officially” Confirms Google Phone

Update: Our sources are confirming  a January 5th date, 9am, ordering through Google ONLY. Sadly, still no word on pricing. T-Mobile has gone and made their expected support of the Google Phone aka Nexus One “official” this morning, albeit in a vague sort of way. According to our sources, through an internal system T-Mobile is reporting they are getting an Android device but won’t do any support for it other than “billing, coverage, features … [read full article]

T-Mobile Hits 200 Million POPS 3G Goal for 2010

As 2009 winds to a close, T-Mobile has officially hit its 2009 goal of covering more than 200 million people with 3G coverage. For the uninformed, that means in the areas of T-Mobile coverage, over 200 million people COULD use it, not are using it. According to the email sent my way, since the first 3G market launched in 2008, T-Mobile has added more than 330,000 POP’s per day. Also mentioned, is that T-Mobile has built … [read full article]

Deutsche Telekom To Unveil 2010 Strategy, Rumors Continue

funny-pictures-horror-movie-cat-dark-scary

As it stands, I’ll all but worn out from the rumors regarding T-Mobile and any number of arranged marriages parent company Deutsche Telekom might be considering. Whether it’s Sprint, MetroPCS or the guy who lives down the block, rumors regarding a merger/buyout have been steady in recent months. According to an article at xchangemang, Deutsche Telekom is set to announce “Strategie 2.0” in early 2010, which will “hightlight further partnerships for its T-Mobile units and more.” … [read full article]

T-Mobile Tap Reviewed, Forgotten

Frankly stated, the T-Mobile Tap is among the worst phones I have ever had the displeasure of using. There really is little positive to say about this device and, while I can’t say I’m truthfully surprised, I was hoping to come up with at least one thing that I actually liked about this phone. All I can think of is the form factor. What appears at first glance to be a copycat of the [read full article]

Rumor Alert: G1 To Get Android 2.0/2.1???

Well the rumor wheel is a’turning. According to the guys over at AndroidSPIN, the G1, father of the Android device is set to get an over-the-air update to Éclair, 2.0 OR 2.1. Unfortunately, their “source” was unable to specify which version the G1 faithful would be getting.  For the moment, we’re filing this firmly away in the rumor category as we’ve yet to hear anything official about upcoming Android updates from T-Mobile herself. We’re hoping … [read full article]

Merry Christmas And Go Android!

Premiering today during ABC Basketball will be the newest commercial highlighting the T-Mobile MyTouch, Android and how lazy Charles Barkley has become. I’m not exactly disappointed by this commercial as its better than the Even More commercials and does highlight some of the wide-reaching aspects of the Android market. Battling the Apple app store is going to take some convincing as their commercials are so prominent in showing off all that you can find and … [read full article]

Nexus One Specs Galore

Looks like the Nexus One news train will continue yet again this morning, though this time it’s less imagery, more substance. Engadget has managed to score some very detailed spec sheets courtesy of a well informed tipster. The good news is that every little detail of the phone seems to be available here, so if you were wondering if the Nexus One had a “tricolor charging and notification indicator LED” then you’re in luck. Some not-so-exciting … [read full article]

BlackBerry Services Down In North America Once Again

Reports are coming in of a possible BIS (BlackBerry Internet Services) Outage. We’ve already seen enough outages this year, and yet, here we have another one. According to Engadget, it looks like BIS is down in all of North America. As of yet, there is no word on when the outage will be fixed, but these outages usually don’t last very long. The majority of BlackBerry users are having trouble with Messenger, web browsing, and apps that consume … [read full article]

Nexus One Stars In Longer Video Walkthrough

I’m not going to lie, these Nexus One updates are starting to get a little bit old, redundant and thankfully slowing down.  Today, though, we have something special.  The Nexus One has made a lengthy appearance in a video, and while it’s not quite the crystal clear, shake free video that it deserves, I’m not arguing with it.  This video will give you a nice look at the menus, all in the language of love … [read full article]
