Windows Mobile Face Off

The guys over at Engadget have compiled a nice little chart comparing the new Windows Phone 7 Series against past Windows Mobile versions, specifically, Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Its nice to see Microsoft opening Windows Mob–I mean Windows Phone 7 Series to not only business users, but the average consumer. Hopefully the device(s) live(s) up to all the hype surrounding it. Can December 2010 come any quicker? Leave your thoughts … [read full article]

Motorola Confirms Enhancement Update This Week

Twitter is the new place to validate old news, post new news and confirm software updates as told through this recent MotoMobile tweet. It was only last night that we hinted towards an enhancement update coming this week and now Moto has gone and confirmed exactly that. Enhancements for battery life, touchscreen and GPS aren’t exactly Android 2.1 but they’ll do for the time being. In the meantime, you can at least expect … [read full article]

Although there’s still a little less than 10 months until the Windows Phone 7 is available to the public, the folks over at MSDN have hosting a video walkthrough showing off all the new features the new OS has to offer. Windows Phone 7 Buzz Is Terrific

Now here is something that captured all my tech nerd attention, Gizmodo calling Windows Phone 7 the “most groundbreaking phone since the iPhone.” I love Gizmodo and read them 85 times an hour but they, like most tech nerds are exceptionally harsh to phones and if they are saying that, I damn well believe it. So love or hate Windows Mobile, it’s gone to the fishes now and it’s prepared to be replaced by … [read full article]

Windows Phone 7 Announced, Previewed

With little surprise Windows Phone has been completely overhauled with its series “7” iteration. Unsurprisingly it’s taken on a very Zune like interface and that’s not a bad thing. If the iPhone taught us one thing, it’s that simplicity can work to your advantage if done right and Windows is certainly bringing their massive resources to bear with the future release of Windows Phone 7. Details are still forthcoming out of Mobile World Congress and we’ve got … [read full article]

Motorola Cliq XT Announced, Heading To T-Mobile As Expected

Motorola has announced this morning over at Mobile World Congress the Cliq XT, aka Zeppelin for T-Mobile. Not too much surprise here as we have had some pretty good indication this phone would make a T-Mobile US launch since the middle of January.  The name should also come as no surprise as a leaked retail slide brought us some hint that this would be the launch name. For the record, my vote would … [read full article]

Motorola Cliq Maintenance Update Coming This Week?

First off, let’s all get on the same page and understand I am not talking about an Android update, but a maintenance update. Just a little over two weeks ago an “accidental” release from Motorola, designated update 1.3.8 leaked to a few Motorola Cliq users and included battery life, touchscreen, improved GPS tracking and various other bug fixes and improvements. More to the point is that a few TmoNews readers have written in stating that … [read full article]

As you may recall, previously there was word on the interwebs that the Motorola CLIQ would be receiving Android 2.1 “sometime in March”. Motorola has put this rumor to bed once and for all with a new timeline that they’ve posted in their support forums revealing a list of future upgrades to Android 2.1 for all Motorola Android handsets. As displayed in the image above, the Motorola CLIQ is scheduled for an upgrade to [read full article]

HTC HD2 In The Hizzouse!!!

Sometimes being in the tech blogging game has its rewards and this is one of those instances. I’ve managed to score an HTC HD2 from a “hush hush” source and they are allowing me some hands on time with a full review coming later on. First impressions are with all sincerity, damn impressive. The touchscreen works amazingly well, is responsive, accurate and while I’ve seen a hiccup or two inside Opera selecting links, typing up a … [read full article]

T-Mobile Tweets “Stay Tuned Next Week” For HD2 Info

It’s not often T-Mobile tweets about an upcoming device but this time they are doing a little teaser for HD2 fans everywhere. “Think you know the HTC HD2? Guess again…Stay tuned for more next week.” Now, after analyzing this a little (translation, reading it twice) I honestly don’t think we are going to see a launch next week as the rumored March 24th date seems to line up with a “Spring” launch. However unlikely, it would … [read full article]
