First, reread the title… no, you are not crazy and neither am I. For once (or so it seems) a US bound headset is actually going to be better than that of it’s brother from across the pond. In this case, we are talking about the HTC HD2. The T-Mobile bound version will be getting a nice jump in ROM (from 512 MB to 1 GB), a jump in RAM (from 448 MB to 576 MB) and will come with a 16GB microSD card, all powered by that wonderful 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. So yes, it does sound like this will be fast. As a side note, it should also be mentioned that the T-Mobile USA version may be the only one to get Windows Mobile 7.0, or just Seven (depending on what Microsoft calls it). If Windows Mobile were my thing, I would be all over it, I guess I could make an exception for this HTC Sense laden, monster piece of hardware. All the way back in October we were the first to show you a leaked document clearly showing the HTC HD2 was coming to T-Mobile in the US. Now we’ve finally got word from T-Mobile themselves. T-Mobile has officially announced that it will be the exclusive carrier for the HTC HD2 in the United States. Ha we told ya so! T-Mobile states that the HTC HD2 will be launching in Spring of 2010. Seriously, could this get any better? First the HTC Nexus One, now the HTC HD2! Keep em’ coming Magenta! This is a great start to the new year! Full Press release after the jump! We knew Twitter was becoming a heavy source for all kinds of information, but breaking news from the tech world hadn’t yet gone that way. Don’t tell that to the folks from HTC Russia who stated through Twitter, the HTC HD2 (expected to drop on T-Mobile sometime next year) is going to be the only HTC “communicator” phone to receive the Windows Mobile 7 update. That’s good and all, but for the T-Mobile faithful, how about some Windows Mobile 6.5 love for devices that are actually being sold today?
That’s really all there is to say here…the guys at WMExperts say this is a likely scenario as the WM7 required specs are all met by the HTC HD2.

A while back we showed you that nice little leak, where it is clearly pointed out that the HTC HD2 was coming to T-Mobile USA. Today HTC has confirmed that the HTC HD2 will be arriving to the U.S Q1 2010–T-Mobile anyone? And by the looks of it, the HD2 will be sporting Windows Mobile with HTC’s lovely Sense UI. We already have the Touch Pro II, and this would be a great addition to T-Mobile’s Windows Mobile handset lineup. If you missed the unboxing video click here to check it out. Well, I have long been a windows mobile hater, no question about it, and recent reports of windows mobile 6.5 have not done much to snuff the hate. Fortunately, if this pans out it looks like T-Mobile USA lovers are going to get their hands on snapdragon love in the form of the HTC HD2 and its 4.3 inches of glory. If you want more info on the HTC HD2, try some previews here, here and here. For now, I would rather focus on the picture above and some of the mentioned features: TV/Movies at your fingertips, AWESOME. Fantastic web browsing experience. AWESOME. E-Reader Content. AWESOME! Details on this phone are very preliminary and a release date is completely unknown at this point, but for you windows mobile lovers, a snapdragon processor which allows you to read the newest Oprah “book of the month” recommendation is worthy of your future dollars. Stay tuned for more details!
For the record, there is NO indication this device has anything to do with Project Black!
