While today’s attention will almost undoubtedly be focused on the Nexus One, for the last two and a half weeks or so I have been playing with the Blackberry 9700 Bold. I’ve kept the phone far longer than I was supposed to as I simply didn’t want to give it back. I love it even with all the faults of the Blackberry OS, and there are not many. The 9700 is a magnificent device for both the power user and the individual who simply relies on email.

Frankly stated, the T-Mobile Tap is among the worst phones I have ever had the displeasure of using. There really is little positive to say about this device and, while I can’t say I’m truthfully surprised, I was hoping to come up with at least one thing that I actually liked about this phone. All I can think of is the form factor. What appears at first glance to be a copycat of the Samsung Highlight actually comes off being exactly that.

The list of phones these days that actually gets me into a frenzy remains remarkably short considering my nerd-like excitement over new devices. That being said, the Samsung Behold 2 was on the short list of phones I was really looking forward to getting for a hands-on evaluation and, thanks to the fine folks at Samsung, TmoNews has its very first review device.
