Certainly a great deal of you have been waiting for further word regarding the device codename “Sapphire.” Looks like this mornings news is going to bring some joy to those of who have been waiting for a little more official word on whether or not this device would make it stateside. Having already been teased with T-mobile markings, compliments of the FCC we have better word, or should I say better pictures that indicate T-mobile USA, our beloved magenta will indeed receive this Android device sometime later this year. We’ve been calling this one for a while, and now it looks just that much safer to say its really true, its really real and its coming. Soon.
More pics after the jump!

The guy over at BoyGenius are going out on a limb here and saying, the T-mobile G2 WILL launch at CTIA. Basing this on no facts, tips, tricks or ninjas we’re going to chalk this up firmly into the rumor category. While we trust in the idea of a bloggers intuition, we don’t want to spiral any rumor into fact and get the hopes up of many expecting to see the G2 at CTIA and then raising holy hell when they don’t. So for now, strictly and firmly in the rumor category that BoyGenius is calling for the G2 launch at CTIA this April. Mind you they are saying launch, NOT release so they could be right on an announcement and we could still wait for some time before availability for purchase. Still, if its true, you heard it at BGR first.

Plenty has been made of the recent MWC announcement regarding the HTC Magic and its possible exclusivity to Vodafone. So far any exclusivity talk is pure rumor and if the picture above is any indication, T-mobile aficionados still have plenty of room for hope that this once fabled device is now indeed on its way to a T-mobile near you. While we still can’t file anything under “confirmed” for now, this above image certainly gives room for the possibility that a vodafone exclusive may be limited to Europe only and that US shores will see a variant of the G2. All this of course still remains in the rumor category and will remain so until some lucky individual shows up with blurrycam shots standing in front of a McDonalds.
