T-Mobile celebrates 1 year of LTE by launching major 2G/Edge network upgrade, and suing Verizon

12 months ago, T-Mobile kicked off its LTE rollout in the U.S., and since then hasn’t stopped its expansion. SoftBank CEO confirms interest in buying T-Mobile, recognizes challenges

In a television interview yesterday evening, Sprint Chairman, and SoftBank CEO, Masayoshi Son confirmed that he was interested in a deal to buy T-Mobile. The deal would combine Sprint and T-Mobile in some form of merger and help bring them in to a “real fight” with AT&T and Verizon. [UPDATE] Simple Choice plans changing to add more data, new $80 unlimited tier, now including Stateside International Texting

Today, T-Mobile announced that its $50 flagship Simple Choice plan will be offering more value for money than before. It’ll now give you double the 4G LTE data, and double the tethering as well as unlimited international texting. Deposits dropping once more for lower credit classes for BYOD and SIM-onlt

Just under a month ago, we reported that T-Mobile had changed its deposit pricing based on credit classes. Deposits were dropped to just $50 for credit classes N, H and D, whereas class I was dropped to $50 for the first 3 lines, with a $100 required for lines 4 and 5.
