Sprint Disses T-Mobile 4G Network Claims

T-Mobile officially kicked off their 4G marketing campaign tonight with the introduction of a video that took a shot across the bow of AT&T.  While we’re certain to hear an AT&T response in the next day or two, Sprint certainly took the opportunity to take a shot at T-Mobile even before the commercial ran. Sprint 4G President Matt Carter responded to T-Mobile’s claims by saying: “Halloween is over–it’s time for T-Mobile to stop dressing up like … [read full article]

T-Mobile Launches myTouch 4G/4G/Network Campaign, Adds 6 More HSPA+ Cities And A Netbook

That’s right.  The T-Mobile marketing effort has begun to bring the message forth that they have the best 4G network known to man.  Ok, well maybe not that, but they certainly took a dig at AT&T in this ad reminiscent of the Mac vs. PC commercials that were once so popular.  I’ll let you watch and enjoy.  Less talk, more video! On top of that, T-Mobile is announcing the addition of 6 more metro areas … [read full article]

T-Mobile Adding Data Plan To New Data Lineup?

After some apparent confusion regarding the delay of the 200MB data plan set to launch tomorrow for T-Mobile, they have readied a second plan to launch November 14th along with it. The $15 200MB plan will NOT require a contract extension and can be added to any existing rate plan. I’m a little curious by the line that says, “New even more promotional plans will launch to support this new feature…” Are we … [read full article]

T-Mobile Ready To Begin “4G” Advertising

There is little question T-Mobile’s decided use of the “4G” moniker for their HSPA+ network has caused quite a stir. There is of course plenty to argue regarding the merits of the T-Mobile claim to a “4G” network. Whatever the truth may be, T-Mobile isn’t likely to care because bottom line, given the current wireless network situation in America, T-Mobile has hands down the fastest network currently available. Rest assured the “4G” issue … [read full article]

DT: Don’t Expect 4G On T-Mobile USA Within The Next Two Years

With Magenta currently leading the mobile speed race with their HSPA+ 21Mbps network, the question is, will they be able to maintain the #1 position, or will they get left behind? Last week, T-Mobile USA’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom CEO Rene Obermann stated that its U.S branch will get fourth-generation wireless network either by buying spectrum, re-farming existing spectrum, or potentially leasing spectrum together with others. Obermann also included that their U.S branch … [read full article]
