BlackBerry Curve Sunset Delayed

bb6

T-mobile seems to have pushed back the launch of the BlackBerry Curve Sunset to August 4th, 2008. Although no new features will be present on the new colored Curve, this slick red/orange color may pull in some of the more daring BlackBerry users. If you can’t wait to get your hands on the Curve Sunset, check the countdown to the right to see how much longer you have to wait. Check out the discussion on our forum on the Curve Sunset

Note that TmoNews has not confirmed this. We have two conflicting dates…August 4th and July 28th

Nokia 7510 Supernova coming to T-mobile USA

nokia-7510-01

Well this one is out of left field, but you can’t really complain about a phone that is called the Supernova. Wait, yeah we can! Where is the 3G or UMA?! We can expect this to be another Nokia music phone, marketed toward the young, hip-type that love funky phones. Talk about an iPhone killer…the Supernova sports a 2 megapixel (VGA Video…not bad!), 6 hours of talk time, quadband EDGE, FM Radio, and a slick push-to-open mechanism. What can we say, T-mobile is releasing another decent music phone, anyone surprised? From what we can tell the device will have a low price, and will likely be an addition to the Nokia music phone lineup, instead of a replacement for the current 5310 or upcoming 5610. Stay tuned for more details on the phone, or click here to view all of T-mobile’s upcoming phones.

National T-mobile 3G launch on October 1st?

sea-salt-copy

Once and a while we will ask our users to take an article with a grain of salt. We’re going to up the ante here, and tell you to take this one with a whole damn bucket of salt. That said, we have some exciting T-mobile news to bring you don’t we? Well according to an anonymous tip TmoNews got, 3G is being lit up in T-mobile’s top markets on October 1st, 2013, 2008. We checked out much of the tip and have only found good things, although we’re still waiting for more trusted information. We’ve been telling those antsy and impatient users to wait for Q4 of 2008, and it looks like T-mobile is on track to pull through with some great phones and national 3G. Besides the four 3G phones already released, T-mobile will release the Sony Ericsson Bella as their flagship 3G device, as well as the 3G Android handset and another unknown high end 3G device. In addition to all this, T-mobile is working on a 5mp Samsung to be released in Q4. Could we have both a 5mp Samsung, and a 5mp H@H Motorola? Either way, T-mobile users rejoice! And loyal T-mobile users rejoice even more, because lucky you, you will have first dibs on some of these great devices! For now, we’re filing this one strictly in the rumors category, but trust us, if we hear anything more, you’ll know about it. Keep your browsers pointed to TmoNews for more information on Android, 3G, and everything you need to know about T-mobile. Enjoy

Shadow II getting closer and closer

Shadow II

If your one of those T-mobile customers that loves Windows Mobile, but needs a Hotspot@Home device, you probably haven’t been too happy with T-mobile since Hotspot@Home was released. Well luckily for you, TmoNews has some good news! You know that Shadow II we told you about a while back? Well it is confirmed, by multiple sources, that the T-mobile Shadow II will be a UMA device, and support the  upcoming T-mobile@Home service. With a V-tech cordless phone, duel-sim T-mobile@Home router, and the new Shadow II, what more could one ask for?! 3G. Anyways, we don’t have a date for you yet, but the picture you see above was taken off of an auction on Ebay, of the supposed Shadow II. It can’t be too far off.

Refer your friends

Well so this week we have announced 3G (officially) but the last newest 3G carrier on the block has a little enticing offer up their sleeves. Starting tomorrow through June 30 T-mobile is offering a $50 referral fee. Show some love to the people you care about, or at the least the people you want to go mobile 2 mobile with. Either way is fine by us. Your next bill should have a little insert in it or customers should start receiving mailers after May 19th. I know I know this is REALLY exciting stuff.

Here is what you need to do:

Existing customers should advise their referral to provide the following information at the time of activation to ensure they receive the $50 referral credit:

  • Refering customer’s name
  • Refering customer’s mobile number

So show some T-mobile love, refer your friends, neighbors, girlfriends, husbands, that girl down the block who always walks her dog in skimpy outfits. One of these days I really need to learn her name.

One more thing…

One More Thing

I suppose it would be helpful if we mentioned what phones are currently available and able to take advantage of the FULL Family 4-pack add-on features mentioned earlier? Of course, any myfaves phone will do for 3 of the 4, but if you want the unlimited minutes at home using the router, you’ll need one of their special UMA-enabled phones for each family member that wants those minutes. Currently available phones are:

  • Nokia 6086
  • Samsung t409
  • Samsung Katalyst
  • Blackberry Curve
  • Blackberry Pearl 2

Looking for new phones? T-Mobile has a few upcoming handsets that also will work with the family 4-pack, or anywhere else H@H can be used. Yes, three new H@H phones for your enjoyment:

  • Blackberry 8820 (launching this Monday, May 5th!!) Whoops, so it’s already out.
  • Nokia 6301
  • Motorola Z6W

Three new H@H phones coming soon alongside an amazing Family Plan add-on? This has WIN written ALL over it.
