T-Mobile Announces Inductive Charging Pad for MyTouch 3G

Today T-Mobile announced that it will be offering an inductive charging pad for the myTouch 3G handset.  The Go Charging Pad will include a new backplate for the handset that, when installed, lets the device charge wirelessly when placed on the pad.  Interestingly, the pad will use magnetic induction to transfer energy from the pad to the phone’s battery.  It works the same way Palm’s Touchstone charger for the Palm Pre device works.  The Go Charging Pad … [read full article]

T-Mobile Considering Partnership With Clearwire

T-Mobile Joins Location Initiative, Now Providing Devs With Location Tools

T-Mobile has announced that it has joined WaveMarket’s Veriplace Cloud Location Platform Initiative.  This initiative will provide developers of mobile apps and services with APIs to enable new geo-location features. Currently, three of the the four biggest carriers (T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T) in the country are part of this group. OTA Update Arrives Without Issue For T-Mobile G1 Users

Well, it looks like T-Mobile delivered on its promise of releasing an OTA(Over-The-Air) update for G1 users by their self-imposed deadline of March 15th.  Even though this update only brings forth an improvement in call quality, it’s nice to see that is was able without issue; unlike the experience Motorola Cliq and Droid Eris users suffered. T-Mobile Ends Exclusive Search Deal With Yahoo, Embraces Google

Well, its over! T-Mobile has ended its year old search deal with Yahoo.  It comes as no surprise to hear that Magenta has replaced Yahoo with its biggest rival—Google. T-Mobile Ranked #1 In Customer Satisfaction By J.D. Power and Associates

Well, it looks like congrats are in order for the big Magenta.  For the second straight year, J.D.  Power and Associates has awarded  T-Mobile USA the highest ranking in wireless retail customer satisfaction among the major U.S. carriers.  T-Mobile edged out Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and AT&T in the study achieving an overall score of 723 compared to Verizon’s score of 722.
