HTC Windows Phone 7 Handset Passes FCC, AWS Onboard

Well, would you look at that. Just yesterday, the WSJ confirmed T-Mobile’s involvement in the Windows Phone 7 launch event, and now the FCC has officially cleared two HTC manufactured Windows Phone 7 handsets, the PD29110 and the PD26110. The HTC PD29110 supports WCDMA Band IV (AWS) which pretty much seals its fate for T-Mobile, while the PD26110 seems to be headed towards AT&T. T-Mobile To Offer Reception In New York City Subway Stations

According to BusinessWeek, T-Mobile USA and AT&T Mobility customers will soon be the first to get cellular reception in New York City subway stations after the carriers signed 10-year agreements which will allow access to an underground network being built by Transit Wireless. The agreement will allow T-Mobile and AT&T to provide cellular reception in 277 underground NYC subway stations. Motorola CLIQ 2 Specs Leaked?

  Although we haven’t heard much regarding the upcoming Motorola “Begonia” aka CLIQ 2, the boys over at Engadget seem to have uncovered a few additional details. According to their tipster, the CLIQ 2 will ship with Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Motorola’s proprietary UI, BLUR. [Updated] First Vibrant Update Surfaces, GPS Issues Fixed?

UPDATE: After getting Kies to finally work, I got the J15 update installed on my Vibrant. So far, I’ve noticed the GPS locks in less than 10 seconds, so it looks like we’ve finally got a true GPS fix! UPDATE 2: Looks like Samsung has pulled the update from Kies for some reason!
