Uncarrier 5.0 is upon us. On June 18th, T-Mobile’s set to use an event in its home city of Seattle to announce the next phase of its industry-changing plans. And a rumor published by PhoneArena purports that T-Mo is set to – yet again – remove a customer pain point by drastically changing the way it works out your monthly bill. Currently, in the market – as all of you are aware – your … [read full article]

You may be sick to the back teeth of analysis and speculation on the purported deal between Deutsche Telekom and SoftBank to merge Sprint and T-Mobile in to one giant carrier capable of matching Verizon and AT&T. But, some further rumor mill spinning took place today at CNBC. And – if true – it could see the success, or failure of a merger leaving T-Mo in a better state than it is now. … [read full article]

T-Mobile 2G upgrade to 4G network seemingly well underway

When T-Mobile announced earlier this year that it would be upgrading its 2G network to 4G, it’s fair to say our attention was grabbed. T-Mobile’s reputation of having great, fast coverage in major cities and having poor coverage elsewhere has been a big hindrance to many people joining the carrier. But times – as the famous song goes – are a-changing. Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been informed by a good … [read full article]

T-Mobile and Sprint users’ mobile data consumption soars above VZW/ATT

Over the past year, both Sprint and T-Mobile have made changes to their plans to make them more competitive, undercutting their main rivals and being more generous with mobile internet allowances usage. And it’s starting to pay off – for the consumer – if data collected by Macquarie Capital is anything to go by. In the first quarter of this year, T-Mobile users on average used over 2.5GB of mobile data each month, with … [read full article]

T-Mobile announces premium SMS charge refund program

Back in November, you may remember T-Mobile announced that it would no longer allow premium SMS vendors to bill for its services through the carrier. The move was pushed through in an effort to fight fraud. A movement which AT&T and Sprint also joined in on. Services included receiving messages for things like horoscopes, offers and weather. All of which are completely unnecessary in the modern day, and unwanted. Today, T-Mobile has … [read full article]

Samsung Galaxy Avant for T-Mo leaked

When it comes to hardware leaks, @evleaks is no stranger. In fact, virtually all pre-release press renders show up online through his account. So it’s no surprise to see a T-Mo Samsung device being leaked earlier today. The device in question is the Galaxy Avant, a smartphone we know very little about. Samsung is yet to announce the device, but based on the image, we’re assuming it’s a low to mid-range device. Clearly … [read full article]
