T-Mobile Wideband LTE goes live in New York City

Today, T-Mobile announced that its faster LTE network has gone live in the Big Apple. We started hearing of sightings in Brooklyn and Manhattan a few weeks back, and T-Mo officially confirmed that its Wideband LTE is now officially active in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island and greater Jersey City. Braxton Carter: T-Mobile will be “aggressive in rolling out low-band spectrum next year”

  According to T-Mobile’s CFO, Braxton Carter, the carrier is going to continue its low-band spectrum acquisitions in to next year. The Chief Financial Officer was speaking at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference. Currently, T-Mo owns 700MHz spectrum covering 185 million POPs in 24 of the top 30 U.S. markets. T-Mobile prices its public offering of 17.4M shares

In a press release published this morning, T-Mobile announced the pricing of its registered public offering. The carrier is offering 17.4 million shares of 5.50% mandatory convertible preferred stock at a price of $50 per share. T-Mo hopes to raise around $854 million from the public offering.
