T-Mobile offer to cover sales tax on new smartphone purchases launches today

T-Mobile’s attack on taxes continues today.

Today’s the day that T-Mobile kicks off its offer to cover the sales tax on all of its new smartphones. The deal, which is open to new and existing customers, will give you 11.2 percent (11.55 percent in Puerto Rico) of your phone’s price on a prepaid MasterCard card.

To take advantage of this offer, you’ll need to buy a new smartphone on an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) and pair it with a T-Mobile One plan or a Simple Choice Unlimited 4G LTE plan. You’ll then visit T-Mobile’s promotions website to enter your account info and the promo code 17DEVICECREDIT. And in six to eight weeks, your prepaid MasterCard card will be delivered.

This is a limited time offer, so if you’re thinking about taking advantage of it, you may want to do so sooner rather than later.

Also worth noting is that T-Mobile is running its 2017 Tax Time Switcher Offer. With this limited time offer, if you switch to T-Mobile and sign up for T-Mobile One, you’ll get a $150 prepaid MasterCard card.

To get this 2017 Tax Time Switcher Offer, you’ll need to port a line from another carrier to T-Mobile. You’ll then visit T-Mobile’s promotions site within 30 days of activation and enter the promo code 17SWITCHER. and your prepaid MasterCard card will be on its way.
