Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ now in T-Mobile stores, complete with JUMP! On Demand deal

galaxys6edgeplusnote5

If you were waiting to buy a Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge+ so that you could get T-Mobile’s JUMP! On Demand offer, today’s your day.

The Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+ are hitting T-Mobile store shelves today, August 21, and that means that you can take advantage of the JUMP! On Demand deal that T-Mo advertised earlier this month. With the offer, you can get a deal on one of Samsung’s new phones if you buy one with JUMP! On Demand through September 30.

Here’s how the special JUMP! On Demand pricing breaks down:

Galaxy Note 5

  • 32GB: $0 down and $25 per month for 18 months
  • 64GB: $99 down and $24.34 per month for 18 months

Galaxy S6 edge+

  • 32GB: $0 down and $28.50 per month for 18 months
  • 64GB: $99 down and $27.67 per month for 18 months

Some details about this JUMP! On Demand offer: It doesn’t require a trade-in for new customers, but upgrades do need to trade something in. Also, the monthly payments listed above are what you’ll get after monthly bill credits. Finally, if you cancel service before your lease is up, you’ll be on the hook for any remaining payments on the device.

So now that Samsung’s next big things have arrived at T-Mobile stores, are any of you going to take advantage of this deal? Did anyone already order online and receive a phone?

Man, now I have to put 99 down to get a phone that USED to take my SD card….

    • Acdc1a

No, you certainly don’t have to.

      • Troy

        I want the 64GB.

        • Acdc1a

If you’re upset about Samsung eliminating SD support, why are you rewarding them with more of your money?

        • he just want to complain about something. I’ve never seen anyone need more than 64GB unless they’re packing movies.

        • Maynor

That is not true, I’m using 128gb SD card on my note edge that have 32GB,and out of all those gigabytes I have only 12 gigabytes left. And is not music, or movies, I use my note edge for presentations, documents, slides, from my work. On top of that I also like to keep all my pictures in my SD card to view them at any time. And I sure that is not only me the one who use his note for business or work.

        • noc007

This is something I struggled with. My phone has got issues and needs to be replaced. I am not aware of another phone that physical size, with that kind of performance, a good camera, and an integrated stylus. There are other features of the Note5 that I like over the Note4 as well. If it wasn’t for JOD, I wouldn’t even be considering the Note5.

        • watkins

Just wait for the g4 pro. Don’t give these bastard’s your money.

    • Nate

Yeah, I would not grace them with my money if that is a thing you are not happy about. You could also save and just get a Nexus 6 which also suffers from non removable battery and lacking an SD Card option. I have one and it’s a good device for media consumption with its large screen and stereo front firing speakers. I also have a LG G4 which supports removable battery and SD Card and is a pretty good device. I am waiting to see what LG’s next stylus phone offers personally.

      • Off Topic -Nexus 6

Hi, how is the Nexus 6 device? PROS OR CONS? Thanks!

        • Nate

Well, it’s ok. I don’t feel it has any customizations for making use of the larger screen. It’s stock Android so that is nice. Runs well and gets Speedy updates. Good for watching shows and gaming. The camera is ok, not great. It’s really just a big stock Android phone. Nothing super special other than 5.9 inch screen and stereo front firing speakers. I think I will dump for the next nexus 6 right away though. I got the G4 and really enjoy it. Wish G4 was bigger though. I gave the wife the G4 and am sticking with the N6 mostly for media consumption reasons. It will be sporting Marshmallow probably about a month after its released which may make a good bit of difference. We’ll see.

        • Off Topic -Nexus 6

Thanks for your response and all…!! At this point, I think I will keep my Note 3 for a few more days…

  • Bryann Pena

I think i will wait for the note 6 to come. Still to early to trade my galaxy s5

  • John

Talked to a couple of different stores,o T-Mobile locations in Oklahoma received 64gb Note 5s. Guess I’m going to have to wait a few weeks to use a Jump.

    • noc007

I’ve called 10 stores in northern Greater Atlanta. Only one got 64GB and they’re out of the black ones. I may just call more after work, but I’m thinking about just waiting a week.

Seriously don’t know why they even bothered with a 32GB and why hardly any stores even got 64GB.

    • Mike

buy it online t-mobile is offering free overnight shipping

      • John

        Can’t do jumps online.

  • Ricardo Velez

Any word on price drop on the Note 4?

  • Jonathan Mejia

Anyone know how much the actually bill credits are every month? IDon’t plan to trade in at 18 months and just make a final payment but can’t figure it out untill someone knows the bill credit amount.

    • I have the iPhone 6. The bill will still be $27 per month on the lease. However, they have a $12 credit per month on your account for 18 months. In the end, you do only pay $15 per month like it was advertised.

Just remember that the credit is on your plan, not your lease. It just look confusing on the bill.

  • steven berson

Went to the tmobile store this morning and no gold edge plus. -____-

  • Benben

Samsung think ppl are stupid enough to buy a phone that is over priced without sd card and non removable battery

    • Mike

      It works for Apple

      • Benben

        Not really with android users

        • Mike

Explain how the iPhone 6 plus gain a lot of Android and Note owners

        • Benben

Nothing to explain you are just wrong

        • Mike

For years people complained about the plastic feel and how cheap the Galaxy series looks and feels compared to the iPhone. When Samsung actually did something about it that required the battery and sd card slot to be removed now ppl wanna complain.

        • Benben

No one complained it was apple sheep’s were using it as an excuse

        • Mike

Ha plenty of ppl and reviewers said it

        • superg05

tech reviewers said that not people who bought there devices yearly/bi-yearly

        • Mike

Tons of ppl who choose iPhones over Galaxy phones complained that a $700-900 phone was made of plastic

        • watkins

Who in the hell cares about how a phone looks? Did you see the drop tests for these new phones. They both failed miserably. Yeah I would much rather have a plastic phone with micro SD and removable battery. Only sheep and women buy phones based on appearance

        • Mike

I’m very sure a lot of ppl who buy cellphones with higher price tags care about looks and material of the phone there gonna purchase .

  • Sushimane

I’m just curious after the 18 Months if the note 5 or s6 edge plus had light scratches are we going have to pay for it?

    • Nick

If you have Tmobile insurance ($8 a month) you can get a new device (you can change up to 3 devices per year with this Jump) even if you have normal wear/tear with the phone.

      • Sushimane

So this is probably not met for me.

        • Nick

If you take good care of your phone and there are no visible defects you don’t have to buy insurance and still tradein three phone per year. I think it is a good deal if you are phone enthusiast

        • Sushimane

I am. I do take care of all my phone minus the g1 buying insurance from tmobile is kinda a waste I would rather buy it from square trade or so. But we’re see how it goes. Get it and then a full body screen protector from scratch.

    • tmoguy

Long as the device is not cracked and is fully functional you will not pay anything.

  • Israel Oliver,Jr.

I still say the Note 3 is the best NOTE smartphone ever built by Mr. Sammy … I have a 128 GB micro SDXC card and can record 4K video via my Note 3 … Does T-Mobile expect me to upgrade to a 64 GB Note 5, yeah right … People, if you are in the market for another phone, get the solid built Note 3 and get you a 128 GB micro SDXC and laugh all the way to the bank ..!

    • Note 3

      Yes, well stated, well stated…!

      • bryck

        Agreed!!

    • Mike

not to mention the note 3 was the only note to come with a usb 3.0 port :) ive still got my note 3 :p

You’re in denial if you think the Note 3 is better than the Note 4. Quick charge alone makes the Note 4 better. Not to mention the qhd display and better build quality.

      • Israel Oliver,Jr.

I only have 1080p display, quick charge slick, but you don’t have Beats audio
or 128 GB micro SDXC card … Neither does the Note 5 …! If Mr. Sammy comes out with a 128 GB version and removable battery, then I might consider purchasing a Note 5, 6 or 7 …

        • Not1Not2Not3

Beats audio was a gimmick and it still is. I have a 128gb SD in my Note 4 right now. What are you talking about?

  • bryck

Sammy Dropped the ball once more. I can live with the non removable battery, but no micro sd card. No way!!! They should’ve at least gave us a 128 Gb internal storage option. That would’ve made up for it. What am I supposed to do with 64 GB!?!, I already have 53 gb on my sd card. that’s coming from a Note 4 owner.

    • Nick

I am keeping my Note 4. Without removable battery and no sd card option, I am happy with my Note 4.

    • Mike

A 128gb version will drop down the road. I have a 128gb iphone 6 plus and I only managed to get 38 gigs on it since I stream majority of the time 64gb will be be plenty but I don’t blame no anyone who needs more space. Just wait a few months probably around the Holidays or Q1 next year a 128gb or larger will drop.

      • watkins

Lol by then the g4 pro will be out. He should just wait for that.

    • G

Go find the world of streaming my friend. No one needs that kind of storage with Unlimited LTE.

  • no2apple

Anyone got Note 5 or Edge+ on JOD with 0 down ??. What does the monthly payment and total lease cost and payot show ??. Its weird its show different every hour on my account..

    • G

If you took advantage of the promotional pricing, it will not show that on the receipt. The credit will show up each month on the bill just like the iPhone $15/mo promo. The reason they do this is to protect them from loss. If they gave you the entire discount upfront then you could cancel the lease, pay it off, and have yourself a nicely discounted handset.

  • Nah, I’m waiting to see what Apple announces on the 9th and looking at other phones too. I have a Note 3 & the features I rely on are missing in the Note 5. I just read a review on Mashable and its stated that note taking is dumbed down on the Note 5 unless you download additional software to the phone. Since I can’t even look forward to the features I like, that opens up the fields substantially for a potential replacement. Samsung has lost its way. I may check back in on the Note 6 but it seems like they are just not committed to the line.

  • Michael N

I just picked up my Note 5 this morning, love it so far. I was coming from an EIP, and I wasn’t required to trade in my phone for the On Demand Program. I just wonder if I end up loving this phone and not wishing to ever upgrade, how I can purchase the phone after the 18 month contract period. Or better yet, what it would cost…

    • no2apple

Can u plz tell me what is the Payment/month and payout amout on ur recipt and also do u see difference in you online account… I see full consufion..

      • TmoGuy

When you get Jump on demand its still the full price of the device.

So what ever remaining balance is after months is the purchase price if you wish to do or you can JUMP on demand again and do a different phone your choice

        • no2apple

I bought 32Gb Note 5 and Edge +. 0 down. The contract says total lease payment would be 65.81 x 18 ~ 1184.49.. Doesnt give each line break down. OOP for Note 5=177.99 and Edge+=194.99…

          The online account says for

Note 5, 29/month and remaining lease balance is 493 and payout is 177.99.. TOTAL LEASE AMOUNT: $522.00

Edge+, 29/month and remaining lease balance is 493 and payout is 177.99.. TOTAL LEASE AMOUNT: $585.00

Supposed to be 25 for note 5 and 28.5 for Edge+. THis tax and bill credit is maing this totally confusing..

        • G

The lease payments on your receipt include the taxes you pay each month for the payment (ie: you make your lease payment on a car and they add the taxes the same month) – same here. Instead of paying your taxes up front, you pay for them each month on the bill. It is easier to switch phones and you do not have to pay all of your taxes on a $600-$800 phone upfront (if you upgrade, then you end up saving money).

        • 2TO8

For the Jump On Demand you get a credit but you have to keep the phone you initially get for the full 18 months to keep the credit if you change it anytime they take away the monthly credit. which kind of defeats the purpose of JOD since you can change it 3 times a year. Kind of deceiving!

        • livewire1981

It makes sense for the credit to go away. It is for the phone you jumped to. If you jump to another phone that will have its own set of promos and credit and so on. You wouldn’t keep the credit just cause at one time you leased that phone.

  • Cheeky143Cheeky

anyone get the netflix deal? I picked the Note 5 in store but wheres the Netflix?

    • Mike

the 1 year free when you pre-ordered? pretty sure thats the only netflix deal. not a store pickup…

      • 2TO8

        Get a One-Year Netflix Subscription – a $107.88 value – With the
T-Mobile purchase of your Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ or Galaxy Note5
        between 8/18/15 and 9/30/15. Must pre-register by 8/17/15 to
        participate.*
so basically if you preregistered before that day you have until 09/30/15 and youll get it. I preregistered went last night to get the samsung s6 edge plus and there jump was down.

    • Yes. You needed to register before 8/20 and purchased before then too. Then you would go to this link http://www.samsungpromotions.com/t-mobilenetflix and redeem it.

      • orlando duran

You have until the end of September to buy phone, just had to register before Aug 20th

  • Mr. Mister

    Got the Note 5 today

  • michael lowe

No I’m waiting for the new lg g5 no SD no note 5 for me

  • michael lowe

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice phone but if you read what LG is about to do . Look out

    • no2apple

Its just a matter of stopping by a store and JOD to G4 Pro…

    • mrpickem

LGG3 was a great phone. I used one for quite awhile. The G4 was a little disappointing but OK. I wonder why anther manufacturer hasn’t came out with an s pen. It’s super handy and once you get uses to it, u want it

  • bydavidrosen

So on a regular Jump plan, what does it cost to go from Note 4 to Note 5 out of pocket ?

  • mreveryphone

I can’t even lie. This note 5 is pretty nice. For the s6 and note to have the same chip it’s like night and day. Everything is so smooth and snappy. My s6 would lag when coming out of apps but this note is butter! Let’s just see if this holds up over time… Android has a tendency to lag after a while…

    • no2apple

Damn this note 5 is heavier than my note 3.. I just got one on JOD.. I will jump to edge Plus..

  • killjoytre

alot of people were lined up this morning at my local tmo store. they say the edge plus and note 5 were selling neck and neck.

    • galaxyNote4isBoss

T-mobile on Friday were selling these handsets like it was going out of style and people was buying both Note5 and S6Edge+ just like i did. At the end of the day real men buy what they want little bous buy what they can.
The Note5 and S6Edge+ are the best in class phablets on the market Worldwide anything else is obsolete and inferior.

      • squiddy20

“T-mobile on Friday were selling these handsets like it was going out of style” Sooo… they didn’t sell well? Because that’s exactly what that saying means. Who wants anything that is “out of style”? What a joke.

        • Android_God

He does have a FANTASTIC hair thing on his lip though!

        • alwaysBfrank

LOL, apparently he also pays for free government cheese.

      • Android_God

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me you act like this in real life!! That would SUPER SPECTACULAR to see!!!!

  • madkoda

is anyone having an issue with wifi calling? or getting mms problems when on wifi?

    • Peter Truong From Riverside CA

Nope both Note 5 that we got has no problem.

    • mrpickem

I did have MMS issues on the Note 4 when on wifi, but none to report with the 5…everything so far is stellar!

  • Sam

Samsung slapped on our faces with this Note 5 without removable battery and no sd card, I am just waiting to buy LG G Pro.

    • galaxyNote4isBoss

Enjoy that trash LG is useless. I bought my Note 5 and S6Edge+ handsets were flying out of T-Mobile like they were selling free goverment cheese. It’s great to pay for the best and not have to settle for the lessor products made by other manufacturers or buy those low budget handsets.

      • watkins

The f are you talking about? These new Samsung devices are garbage and you just wasted your money on a completely inferior device compared to what the g4 pro is rumored to be. Enjoy your iPhone knockoff.

        • PC_Tool

Don’t waste your time. “galasyNote4isBoss” (aka Yarrell), is the penultimate Samsung fanboy. He is completely and utterly without reason or any grip on reality. 100% driven by his emotional obsession with Samsung; it is impossible for him to take part in any form of reasoned, logical, or rational discussion regarding mobile devices.

When you see his posts, chuckle and move along. There’s no help for him.

        • watkins

          Got it

        • TSON1

While I strongly disagree with what you’re posting – if you bought this phone on Jump on Demand and the G4 pro ends up being better it takes 30 seconds in the store to switch to the G4 pro and not one penny. The Note 5 is the best Android phone that’s /currently/ available and the deal is very good.

        • watkins

The best Android phone currently available at the moment is the note 4. So why should I jump to a phone that’s a downgrade? I’ll just wait for the g4 pro. Should be out hopefully in October.

        • TSON1

          >_____> the note 4 is a downgrade in every regard especially in not having the new storage standard, way less ram, way slower CPU and GPU. just bc you dont like aluminum and glass doesn’t mean it’s a bad phone.

        • watkins

Let’s see a new storage standard that comes at measly 64gb. The phone itself failed miserably in every drop test due to it being made out of glass. Way less ram? By 1gb really? Lol. Not to mention the lack of external battery.. Yeah the note 4 pros outnumber the note 5 by a wide margin.

        • Not1Not2Not3

How can you compare a current industry leading device to a rumored device? I know you’re butt hurt that Sammy ditched some major features but your comment makes absolutely no sense.

        • watkins

So you know Samsung ditched major features and yet still in the same sentence you call it an industry leading device? Sheep much? Yes it’s real easy to compare. Most of the time half the rumors are true that are leaked. In this case if even half are true it still murders this thing.

        • Not1Not2Not3

It’s impossible to have a real conversation with someone who is as butt hurt as you are. Have fun with your unicorn device.

        • watkins

Anybody that uses the term butt hurt most likely can’t hold a real conversation by default. Have fun with your iPhone knockoff.

        • Not1Not2Not3

          Thank you, I sure will.

      • Android_God

        Are you OK?

      • alwaysBfrank

Selling free government cheese? Why would anyone buy it if it’s free

      • Duality

Enjoy your laggy trash. It’s a good thing you bought both, one wouldn’t get you through the day.

    • steven berson

Its not so bad. For me 32gb is plenty plus 100gb dropbox. The battery life has been pretty good and last just as long as my note 4. May want to try the 64gb model.

    • Not1Not2Not3

      Good luck with that.

    • Mike

The LG G Pro specs sound pretty good but the phone is ugly af . I can’t stand the leather on the back it looks like a cheap wallet.

    • watkins

The g4 pro is seriously going to demolish this joke of a phone. Looking forward to October.

    • Israel Oliver,Jr.

I’m kicking Mr.Sammy to the curve, the LG g4 Pro got the kind of specs, I’m looking for in a super enhanced 5.8 inch mobile device, 4GB of RAM, 32 & 64 GB internal storage versions, 27 MP camera/8 MP front camera, 128 GB micro SD Card slot and a 3600 Mah battery … Some fool said this enhanced LG g4 Pro is inferior to the Note 5, the boy was on drugs when he said that …

  • Billy

Is anyone experiencing any problems with their Note 5? First problem is unlocking the phone with the thumb print scanner; the phone won’t unlock for me! After I’d put my thumb on the scanner and it doesn’t open from the home screen I can then swipe the little dial pad up and it unlocks then! And also, and this might be only my problem but I’m texting with this girl and there’s a whole bunch of messages and everything there’s is delay; there’s a delay with the keyboard popping up when I want to text and there’s a crazy delay when sending pics!

I always restart the phone but that doesn’t do anything!

    Anyone else having a problem?

    • steven berson

I have the edge plus and having no issues. May want to try to factory reset and see if it fixes the issue. If not go back to tmobile for another device.

  • Android_God

It does look pretty nice and that push button to get out the stylus is pretty cool but not seeing much else to make me want to upgrade from my Note 4.

  • Chris

Does anyone know when the white samsung edge s6+ will be out?

    • Mike

You can get the unlocked regional version on ebay

      • Demetrius Mckinnon

Be careful when shopping for Samsung Phones on ebay. I a lot of the sellers (the majority of them in fact) are drop shipping sellers from overseas that sell fake or clone phones that are hard to tell physically tell the difference from. Ebay are kind of iffy about getting your refunds from these sellers because Ebay mainly operates from out of the same countries these sellers are based in.

  • mrpickem

This Note 5 is by far the best mobile device ever marketed. Excellent battery, brilliant display, plethora of apps, awesome connectivity, beautiful styling, good JoD deal with free Netflix. Haters gonna hate, but in the end they are the ones missing out on the sheer pleasure of using such a fabulous device. Only thing remotely negative I can come up with is it feels a bit fragile…not that I dropped it…just the durability is not stellar. A case can obviously fix that but takes so much aesthetically. Oh and the camera, what a joy with all the available manual setting plus raw mode if you need it. This camera probably better than most point and shoots. Toned down TochWiz so intuitive…I am blessed!

    • no2apple

Not really.. Edge plus is lot better.. Slim and light… The damn Note 5 is heavier than note 3 and 4.. Glad I got JOD. Jumping to Edge Plus after 2 weeks

      • Demetrius Mckinnon

No, they’re the same weight I just upgraded to the Note5 and still had the Note4 in possession. No weight difference at all.

  • Mike

I’m stuck between getting the 64gb Note 5 or just waiting to see if a 128gb version will drop. The S6 Edge+ looks nice but the lack of a stylus is a deal breaker for me since I owned a Note Edge.

  • VG

I’ve read some articles about inserting the pen into the Note 5 incorrectly will damage the phone. I wonder how T-Mobile will handle Note 5 units that have been damaged in this matter when the customer tries to upgrade via JOD? I hope Note 5 users on JOD aren’t in for nasty surprises when they Jump to another phone.

    • livewire1981

I’ve read articles on this. And all I can say is it take some a certain kinda special to put the S Pen in the wrong direction.

      • VG

Accidents do happen, and supposedly the pen can be inserted backwards with absolutely no resistance (previous Note models had at least some resistance to let the user know it was being inserted incorrectly). Someone not paying attention can very easily insert the pen backwards and damage the phone. Just curious how T-Mobile and Samsung will handle this situation if and when a customer tries to turn in a phone that has been damaged this way.

I would assume the correct way to handle it would be to require a fee for the damaged device or do an insurance claim. I understand that things happen but we cannot go through life and blame manufacturers amd so on. We have to take responsibility for our own actions. That’s part of what’s wrong with this country today. It always seems to be someone else’s fault.

It might void out your warranty and you’ll have to pay 175 for a refurbished one. I guess some retards have had to learn the hard way about this already.

Does anyone knows… Will the new Note 5 & S6 edge+ implement the new “tmobile advanced messaging” that tmobile is going to provide?

Got the Note 5 on the 22nd. Love it. The improved UI performance is AWESOME. Definitely had to put a case on it because of the all glass construction, unlike my Note 4, where that thing didn’t really need a case.

I don’t really give a crap about the no IR blaster/SD card/removable battery/S Pen insertion issue. I am very intentional about how I insert my S Pen (that’s what he said), and I have never attempted to put any S Pen from any generation in the wrong way. While it IS a design flaw, there are any number of things in life where if you handle something incorrectly, it’ll be damaged or broken. We have to stop and ask ourselves “Just how much responsibility does a product designer and manufacturer have when it comes to assessing and preventing certain issues or problems?”

Had the Note 5 for a week now and love it! Had the Note 3 and 4. Always liked the 3 better then the 4, especially after going to lollipop. My Note 4 didn’t like it–battery drain, lagging. If the 5 does get Marshmallow I’ll wait for others to be the guinea pig!
