“Massive Cyber Monday special” deal teased by T-Mobile

Holiday Offer Chart

In a blog post by Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Sievert, T-Mobile revealed its full lineup of holiday deals. These include the free tablet, $100 off Samsung, $5 international talk, $74 accessories rebate and free QuickCell Soundball which were either confirmed by T-Mobile or which we reported on previously. So I won’t bore you by going over those again…

Right at bottom of the post is an enticing teaser. According to Sievert, T-Mobile is going to launch something pretty spectacular on Monday, December 1st. So spectacular that you should actually tune in to the T-Mobile deals site late on Sunday evening.

“And there’s more holiday goodness to come. Next up, Cyber Monday’s right around the corner. Watch for a message from us telling you all about T-Mobile’s very special Cyber Monday offer this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. PST – and then get your browsers warmed up for 12:01 a.m. PST on Cyber Monday, December 1st. “

Be sure to keep an eye on the T-mobile deals page over the next few days. We’ll keep our ears on the ground, and let you know if we hear any rumblings before the special Cyber Monday deal goes live.

Naaaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Those specials doesn’t looks wow. :-(

  • Dakota

So he’s basically saying don’t buy Friday, wait till Monday? Or is it going to be a stunt for the first x people to buy at midnight. Its what I hate.. You got black Friday & then some retailers have even better deals on Monday. I know many retailers actually have better sales the week before and after black Friday

    • Bilbo

Yep. Was going to place an order Sunday. Now I won’t. And if the Monday deal sucks, well… not sure when I’ll place it. Might have to wait on the next sale.

  • JamesG

I will be thoroughly disappointed if this spectacular offer isnt spectacular. Sounds like bait

    • Singleweird

the samsung $100 is note 3 or s5, but all the other ones are pretty self explainatory

      • JamesG

The spectacular offer is the only one that isnt explained..

  • ResidentJack

    Damn… I really really hope there’s a deal on a Note 4 again… I screwed up on the $200 rebate and missed out :(

    • JamesG

That was a Samsung deal. i wouldnt expect a deal for another few months

  • Jason Madura

It’d be cool if they had a sale on the Nexus 6…. but …. I guess you’d have to be able to even have it in stock to have a sale or special on it eh? Hahaha

    • Singleweird

no, you wouldn’t. all companies will offer to order products to you if they’re out of stock. it’s called backordering.

      • JamesG

You missed the point, the sales are offered to push people to buy the old stock

  • david

    No iphone sale. bummer.

    • JamesG

The iphones only drop is price after a new iphone is announce

    • Lala ∀Σ

      i saw a sale on the 5c ?

  • archerian

How about Stateside Int Talk for grandfathered customers too?

    • TMOpeeppeep

already available….stop into a local store or call 611

      • archerian

really? I have to call in and check.. I tried the first few days it was out, no luck

  • besweeet

    Yawn…

  • Trevnerdio

If it’s $100 off the Note Edge, I’m gonna have to say that’s a bit disappointing. Picked mine up for the full exorbitant rate.

    • Robin Canela

      It’s only for note 3 and S5

      • Shane83646

The Note 3 and the S5 are already discounted. So, likely, the CM deal will not be either one of those two phones.

    • Shane83646

Whoa! I am wanting a Note 4 and I can’t justify the price. Can’t imagine dropping the money for the Edge….although it does look cool.

      • Trevnerdio

Well, I mean I put 0 down, but still, I’m paying that full monthly price.

    • Nick Gonzalez

      that avatar LOL

    • Philly Jim

      Same boat

  • Chad Dalton

ugh, now i’m stuck do i wait for monday, or buy the note 3 now? decisions, decisions…

    • Shane83646

The Note 3 discount supposedly doesn’t end until 11/30. So, if you’re in the market for a phone, you might as well wait.

  • joe

May be a deal on the Nexus 9 tablet….They said available early December. Hopefully drop it to same price as wifi version…..ftw

    • JamesG

I will be pissed if thats the surprise…

  • tomarone

it says AND a massive cyber-monday special, after those listed already, in the ad.
For me it’s Android HTC M8? or GS5? can’t decide.

    • tomarone

      Can I get 2 for 1?

  • AxelCloris

I’m hoping for discounted iPad Mini Retinas with LTE since the Mini 3 is out now. If they can get them around $250-275 that’d be one heck of a Cyber Monday deal.

  • GT

So the S5 deal ends 11/30 but the cyber deal starts 12/1… if I wait, will I lise the option on the S5? If I buy the S5 now and it goes down even further ( see the WSJ article about 8 million units unsold), will TM honor the new price? Any thoughts?

    • somalianpirate70

I’m scared with you. This seems like the chance to get it, but I’m gonna be risky and wait for Monday, livin on the edge

      • Lala ∀Σ

same here, imma wait til monday to see!

      • Rafa

I’m sure they would pay you the difference if the price changes up to a week

  • Rene Shabastari

Cyber Monday deal is HTC RE for $100

  • You have to admit, Verizon and Sprint are giving away $500.00 phones compared to T-Mobile who wants to sell you the phones. They’ll be bleeding customers this season.

    • ChrisPine

How is it free when you are paying $21.00 a month for the phone?

      • Aaron C

Indeed. People are so dumb they think the phones they get from Verizon and Sprint are actually “free” and don’t realize the money is hidden in their contracts. It amazes me how people think they can get something for nothing.

        • Rafa

they prefer to pay zero down or $200 or whatever and pay around $100 bucks a month for each phone under contract. Good business…..

        • Rafa

It’s not even hidden. They have a massive bill to pay every month. Only reason to go with another carrier rather than T-Mobile should only be the coverage. Nothing can beat T-Mobile prices, just common sense.

    • Rafa

In what world you’re living? Even if you pay the phone month by month still cheaper than the monthly bill at Verizon, att and sprint by far.

  • David

    @Rafa
    Iphone 6 plus @ t-mobile: $750. Monthly bill: $50. Total 2 year cost: $1950
    Iphone 6 plus @ Verizon: $300. Monthly bill: $60. Total 2 year cost: $1740

I didn’t include taxes. Both plans offer unlimited talk and text, plus 1gb of data. So if you have one line, on paper it’s cheaper to go the verizon route. Of course, one can debate the benefits each carrier offers, making one scenario better than the other, but $ wise, verizon is cheaper.

    • david

I forgot, t-mobile throttles your data after 1GB, so that’s a plus for t-mobile. in any case, if your usage is light, the difference in cost between both scenarios is minimal.

    • Kris Reilly

Before I left Verizon about a month ago I priced out a four-line plan that was comparable to the deal I would get with T mobile (Four lines, unlimited talk and text, 2.5 GB of data per line). The best deal they could give me was literally twice as much as T Mobile . It is nice that they have those subsidized phones, but you pay for it on the back end. No way in hell Verizon is cheaper, at least not for my particular plan and needs. If it was cheaper I’d still be there.

      • Rafa

I also left Verizon two years ago and happily paid the $350 to cancel the contract fee. I was paying $80 something for two basic phones, no text or data and switched to T-Mobile and now I pay $72 for two smartphones with 2GB of data for each phone. No text we don’t need it. This prices are with corporate discount before taxes.

    • Rafa

      Try to fake purchase
the iPhone or any other phone with Verizon and go all the way to the checkout. With
Verizon you will pay $40 for line access + $40 for the 1GB plan. With T-Mobile
there are no hidden costs, just $50 plus $31,24 if you decide to pay monthly
for your iPhone 6 plus. Also you will lose $300 on first place going with
Verizon. Real numbers are, Verizon $2,200 plus tax vs T-Mobile $1,949.76 plus
tax after 24 months. And of course, if you decide to keep your iPhone after two
years with T-Mobile, then your bill goes down two $50 plus tax while with
Verizon you will still paying $80 plus tax.

Also the fact that with T-Mobile you get
reduced your speed after use your 1GB of data instead of pay $15 more or have
it locked at that point. Not to mention that you could pay $60 with T-Mobile
for unlimited 3GB of data; that same thing will cost you $100 with Verizon.
Also with T-Mobile would be no contract. There are lots of people that go over
2 years with the same phone. Not to mention the ability to buy cheaper unlocked
phones with a GSM carrier. With Verizon you’re pretty much stuck with their catalog.

      • david

We’ll like said before, you can argue the benefits in each case. But the original numbers I posted are solid. I just did a “fake purchase,” and at checkout I get Total monthly due: $60 + $299.99 due today. Just keeping it simple.

        • Rafa

you’re right, I have no idea what I did before. $1740 before taxes with Verizon. still, the initial payment, contract, and higher monthly payment after two years…

        • Rafa

Also the more lines, the more data etc, the more difference on price between T-Mobile and Verizon etc. I was just looking that what I have with Verizon would cost me $150 vs $80 with T-Mobile. But yes. If you’re an individual and is ok with you to have 1GB and if you replace your phone every two years, then is cheaper with Verizon.

Yahoo reports that the deal is a discount on the higher memory iphones. As much as $100 off on the 64 GB versions. Weird that this news seems to be on Yahoo before it’s on the official TMo site.
