Hard to believe the S5 is > than the Note 3.

    • brybry

not necessarily. Subtract $190 off the price of the S5 for the promotion they have going on.

  • benben

Nexus 6 become a joke after this discount

    • skywalkr2

Not to me… Note 4 is smaller and has too much crap on it.

      • benben

Small by 0.2 inch only a robot can tell the difference

        • skywalkr2

          Or anyone with eyes.

        • benben

Eyes and big big glasses and also captain america of course

        • Chris

How naive. The Nexus 6 is also wider, which for people looking for a big phone, is a huge plus!

        • benben

How wider can it be? There’s only 0.2 inch difference between them

        • skywalkr2

Also Its not .2 its .296. That’s 33% more than your figure. It really is almost 6 inches. Not 5.9.

    • kev2684

      ??

Nexus 6 is $699 for 64GB, latest android and no touchwiz.

  • hanfeedback

Anyone try and call to have this retroactively done?

  • chris

    Really after a week?

  • bigsexy

Nice and you can get up to a $190 check from samsung for doing a trade-in on the S5 or Note 4 as well still on the galaxy promotions site.

    • tmoguy

I believe that’s only if you pre-ordered the device, which if you didn’t do that already, it’s too late now.

      • Des
      • tmoguy

Actually, I stand corrected. They just launched it for post launch orders. What ya know. Wish I had known that when I ordered my note 4! Wonder if I can call care and tell them I now want to trade in?

      • bigsexy

can do on regular orders now too

    • hanfeedback

      That was for preorders.

    • superg05

lol that would be stupid you can sell it for at least 400-450

  • donnybee

I wonder if this has any relation to the recent pitfall of revenue Samsung hit. A 60% drop is pretty staggering. I’m guessing the carriers are trying to cushion that as much as possible to protect their revenue streams too. I have never seen a company offer immediate discounts on a product that was just barely launched as they’re doing for the GN4 here. Samsung isn’t immune to the attrition found in the Android space. HTC saw it and someone after Samsung will see it too; just a matter of time.

    • Android_God

      TMO has done this before.

  • Aurizen

we ordered the Galaxy Avant for a new line on our phone.

  • Bklynman

Mmmm, I can get Sammy, tab 4 Nook for less than $200. from B&N,TMO,selling the same tab for $330, then back up to $360? Something is wrong here. LoL.

    • superg05

B&N is paying part of the cost its subsidized for there content

      • Bklynman

Ok,that makes sense. That why it is so much less.If I am not wrong,B&N,is selling them $179.00,not sale price, that’s what they are selling the Nook/Sammy for. Better than TMO,

  • Ophiophagus86

Funny enough, if you’re upgrading a line in your account, then there’s no place to enter the promo code, but if you do it as a new customer, then the promo code entry box appears (which, why would you want to do that if they’re going to charge you $10 for a SIM starter kit that you don’t need?)

I had to call T-Mobile Customer Care. They said I should go ahead with the online order and they would credit back the $30 to my account within 24 hours. At the time of this writing T-Mo is also offering free shipping on phones – but the online order didn’t recognize that either. The Customer Care Representative said he would credit the $6.99 as well. So let’s see!

Why can’t things just work? I hate having to call lol

    • Ophiophagus86

Oh and there’s a 4 to 7 day wait for shippings. Ugh!

      • Bemi

Is yours on back order? I’m still waiting and I ordered on Monday. Called to cancel today because tmobile stores have them. Although, they are in low numbers like 1 or 2. I’m hoping to Re order now that they have the $30 dollars off and just do the $15 next day shipping. That wait time is excruciating. In a dramatic kinda way.

        • Ophiophagus86

Yeah it is. Well I just ordered today and I’m in no particular hurry to get it so I guess I’ll wait.. Lol But I haven’t been to the stores. There’s a good chance they may be running low everywhere. With the discount, I’d say yeah, go for it. It’s only a week old and $30 off sounds good to me. ;) I chose the regular shipping option too so mine might not be here till mid-next month! :{O

    • nebulous

I called earlier and they said the promo was only for new customers and adding a line, after transferring me about 8 times! The fine print does not say that at all and I wasted an hour on the phone. Extremely frustrated with them right now.

      • Ophiophagus86

I think you should call them again. I checked and double checked and checked again. Nowhere does it say this is just for new customers. So I better get my $36.99 back! I hate it when even their own agents don’t know what they’re talking about. I was transferred around like 5 times too. Ugh

  • Gelmut Nayberger

I know this is off the topic but everyone keeps saying different things about the Samsung $200 trade in promotion. Can someone maybe please confirm if it’s for the preorders only or if you can still purchase a note 4 now and qualify for the promotion? Thank you in advance!! :)

    • Ophiophagus86

It’s still valid (I believe until the 31st Oct) but you do have to trade in a device worth $10 or more and the trade in transaction has to be on the same receipt as the purchase of the Note 4. So that means you have to do the trade in and fee purchase at the same store.
Unfortunately I couldn’t take advantage of this offer because I have a cracked Samsung Galaxy S3 and T-Mo doesn’t offer any trade in value for that… AT&T however offered me $20 but I don’t think T-Mo would honor their own “guaranteed trade in price match” for cracked devices (anyone, please let me know if I am wrong!) Otherwise, the $200 value, along with the $30 discount is a pretty good deal.

      • Gelmut Nayberger

So if I ordered the phone on tmobile couple days ago online but only traded in my older device today I won’t qualify for the $200 promotion since I didn’t do it on the same transaction?

        • Ophiophagus86

I’m not sure, man. I think it has to be at the same time because that’s the only way you can get both transactions on the same receipt, right?

        • Bryan

It is true that you need to trade in the phone at the same time you order it with tmobile. I had the same problem that they would not trade in my phone after I already ordered my note4.
I emailed Samsung and the trade in just need to be a place where they take pre-orders. It does not need to be at the same place where you bought your phone.
So I just took it to best buy and traded it in through their normal trade in program.

        • Lani

Correct. Current Samsung Promotion states Trade-in and purchase must occur on same receipt at participating carriers.

      • TechHog

Wait, what $200 trade in? Can it be used if I buy with EIP?

        • Ophiophagus86

I have no idea about the EIP. I’ve never had to do it. But I would think it would work because the $200 is a Samsung promotion. EIP and the $30 discount are T-Mobile deals.

    • mblack

They have an updated trade-in offer for current sales, not just pre-orders.

  • Android_God

    Note 4…best Android phone ever!

  • Ophiophagus86

Guys be sure to check out https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/tradein/Mobile for the $200 trade in offer. It’s still valid. Make sure to thoroughly scrutinize the terms and conditions section and the FAQs. Hope this helps.

  • SirMakoto

thanks to this news, i was able to call in to t-mobile and asked for a price adjustment, but the supervisor didn’t offer the adjustment, but instead credited me $30 on statement. a happy camper here. btw, if anyone used their discover card to purchase this phone prior to this promotion, their 90 price protection will probably get you $30 back.

  • SamRod

Hello. I’m a recent-new T-Mobile customer. Any current T-Mobile customers want to get $25 credit on their bill and also Unlimited Data? Email me at sam_from_la(at)yahoo.com. Thanks!

  • UralBas

Its Samsung, they are not selling them. Better reason to look elsewhere.

Nexus 6/Nexus 9/ LG G3/HTC M8/Nokia even an Iphone 6 are better alternatives to any Samsung device.

    • YawningAtUralBas

=yawn= Is that the best you have, troll? =double yawn=

  • Lani

Do Tmo Corp Stores price match other carriers? Verizon has the Note4($699) $20 lower than Tmobile price after the Tmobile $30 promo.
