Reminder: Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders open from today [Update]

Screen Shot 2014-09-24 at 15.19.31

As announced by T-Mobile a few days back, the Galaxy Note 4 is now available to pre-order for delivery by October 17. It costs $749 full retail, or $0 down and $31.24 per month on EIP.

I got my hands on the device at its launch event at the beginning of the month, and I was impressed by the build quality and display. It’s easily the best looking, and best-built Samsung device on the market. Perhaps the best Samsung device ever. And as someone who traditionally isn’t impressed by Sammy, that’s high praise. The metal frame and soft-touch back combine perfectly to give you a device that not only feels sturdy and durable, but comfortable too. And that QuadHD display blows the LG G3 out of the water in terms of color accuracy and sharpness. It’s fantastic.

Interestingly, one of our readers got in touch who’d already place their pre-order. And despite the official release date being October 17th, their order confirmation shows a shipping date estimate of October 2. Fifteen days early than the date the device is supposed to go on sale. Whether that’s an error, or accurate, we’re yet to see. After the iPhone 6 fiasco, it’s hard to assume anything is going to go smoothly.

UPDATE: Delivery date will be the originally announced October 17th. T-Mobile got in touch to clarify:

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders will actually ship on October 17th when the device launches nationwide.  We are following up with customers  individually to confirm their shipment information.”

Are you pre-ordering a Note 4, or has Apple got your money this year?

Head on over to the Galaxy Note 4 product page to pre-order.

I was able to order about 20-30 mins back

  • JamesG

Im not going to preorder but i do plan to purchase the Note 4. I dont understand the big deal with preordering, have to be the first to have dont ya?

    • ND

$200 credit Samsung will give if you pre order. :) thats worth if you trade in a $50 smartphone.

      • Troy

        Source?

      • JamesG

I have JUMP and EIP though. Could i keep my phone trade in a different phone and still preorder with my current EIP?

        • ND

see the link below they require proof of purchase and trade in samsung will send over a check of the difference amount.

        • JamesG

How can i trade in a phone to preorder when i have a phone on EIP…?

        • ND

I don’t know. I have an s3 which is not worth $50 bucks and getting $200 for it is a very big deal.

        • tranceformer978

I’m curious how this would work on Jump also.

      • CalicoKJ

Nice…finally something to do with my Amaze 4G. :) Wasn’t going to bother with pre-ordering but I’ll take free money for what was just laying around…T-Mo actually values the thing at 32 bucks, so should get a check for 168.

        • Pedro Nieto

How do we check the value of the trade off?

        • CalicoKJ

I just went to T-Mobile’s site, and in the search box typed Trade-in. Took a couple of clicks but it was off of the first result.

        • Pedro Nieto

Thanks! Just found out my unopened Alcatel phone is worth $11 to T-Mobile. I wonder how much Samsung would give me in the trade off.

        • CalicoKJ

Per the website, it’s $200 trade in less the value of the phone you traded in (has to have a minimum $10 value), so you would be getting $189.

  • pda96

No band 12, no sale !

    • James Shaggy

      It has band 12

      • pda96

Can u tell us where u got this from? TMO website does not list band 12. Thanks.

        • James Shaggy

check the article about the note 4 here on tmonews and there was a fcc filing that showed band 12 was being tested for this device.

        • pda96

OK. However, just because it was “tested” doesn’t mean this feature is built into the phone offered for sale at the moment. I’ll go with what’s on the TMO website for now. Thanks again.

        • AllThingsReviewed215

Just like when T-Mobile listed the G3 with having 2GB of ram and they had to later fix it because people tweeted about the mishap.

You want better info go read xda…the developers already confirmed band 12 for the T-Mobile model.

        • JamesG

Look at the Galaxy Avant, its not listed either

    • AllThingsReviewed215

It does have band 12. Just not unlocked/activated.

  • nelagster

I heard from someone the note 4 would be available to play around with at Best Buy this Friday. Can you confirm this and also see if they will be in t mobile stores?

    • krym73

I can confirm they will be having the Note4 and Galaxy Alpha at Best Buy stores on Friday, select stores will also have the Note Edge and the Galaxy Gear VR.

      • Aooga

Do you know which stores will have the Edge?

        • krym73

What area do you live in?

        • Aooga

          SF.

        • JamesG

No store will have the Edge until 2015….

        • krym73

Come Friday , you’ll be proved wrong, at least in my area i know of 2 stores that’ll have it..BestBuy already had a preview of the Note4, Note Edge , Gear VR and the Gear Circle for one day at select stores this month. I even took a pic of myself trying out the Gear VR.lol
But seriously bro, they’ll have it come Friday.

        • JamesG

Yet no one has announced this? Sure bud

        • krym73

What do you expect, I’m amazed no one announced it last time but these sites are all mostly biased towards Apple devices and it doesn’t help that a Apple shill runs this site… Check it out though, most deff will be there tomorrow.

  • D_Wall__

I imagine ill have to call in if i want to jump to this? or wait till in store? Did not see a preorder for existing customers, I could have missed it though..

    • JamesG

Login to your account and upgrade your device

  • blah

I just called, and got the worst, though nicest old lady, on the tmobile order #. I wanted to keep my old grandfathered in plan, and she just hadn’t a clue about how to do that! She kept me on the phone 20+ minutes, and couldn’t even find the Note 4 because she thought it was a tablet, then didn’t know it was made by Samsung. I politely told her I would just do this instore. -blah

  • Myphone007

Anyone waiting until edge is on presale?

    • JamesG

I think ill pass if its going to sell for the rumored $1000

      • James Shaggy

        more like 750

        • JamesG

The Edge? Hell no it wont

    • queenren

I am. My husband wants one. I just ordered the Note 4 in white. However, I am very disappointed that the pink or gold version isn’t for pre-order.

      • Pedro Nieto

This is my pet peeve. If they are ”announced” in different colors, Samsung should offer them to all carriers at launch.

  • Hi hello

Thanks for the reminder, anyway. Just got 6+ .

    • krym73

Well too bad, just remember you have a buyers remorse period.
      http://9to5mac.com/2014/09/23/apple-iphone-6-plus-bend-test-video/

    • Chris

Aw man you got the futuristic bendy phone! Maybe I’ll wait for the G Flex 2

      • donnybee

HA you missed the boat on that one.. “bendy” phones have been around since they started increasing the screen size. Where were you back then?

Oh, that’s right..nobody cared about those devices anyway.

  • edward alberts

The Note 4 is already on back order I just called and ordered mine

    • James Shaggy

They will always say a phone is on back order, that way they save face.

    • donnybee

A pre-order is the same as a backorder in the system. They have to wait for units or the right date before sending them out.

  • Sean

Just ordered my Frost White Galaxy Note 4 w/overnight shipping! JUMP-ing from a Galaxy S 5 because of the 2K resolution, metal frame, and fast charging, but most importantly of all, because of the 700mHz A-Block compatibility!

    • EffortLess

It doesn’t have 700mHz A-Block compatibility. Check the specs. I also called them and they confirmed it doesn’t.

      • csmits

It will. Check the FCC documents. Never trust what t-mobile puts for specs on their website or one of their super informed customer service people.

        • mikey

True that, i called and they placed me on hold. When they canme back they said I could not pre-order it until the 24th, then I told them today is the 24th. Lol.

      • JamesG

It wont be on the site until band 12 is turned on. The avant has it but its not listed

  • Peter N

how come Tmobile doesnt give specification about which processor Tmobile Note 4 has? i heard there are two model of note 4??? :?

    • Trevnerdio

It’ll be the Qualcomm variant, not the Samsung one. I believe it’ll have the Snapdragon 801 or 802.

      • ragumaster

        805…

        • Trevnerdio

          That’s right, I’m sorry.

  • Sean

Uh-oh…the specs section on Note 4’s preorder page lists the following LTE bands: LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17. NO BAND 12?? Can someone else confirm this?

    • SEBA

Probably not, they did the same thing with galaxy s 3 not supporting LTE couple years ago

      • Sean

They might do the same thing that happened with the Note II by sending out an OTA update that wakes up the Band 12 hardware.

      • T-Mo Shareholder

Tmobile Execs have already stated on their Quarterly Earnings calls that most new devices will come with Band 12 support in Q4. The Note 4 is being released in Q4…

    • James Shaggy

It has band 12 but doesnt list it. If you check the fcc filings, youll see it. Also the galaxy avant has band 12 but the Tmobile site doesnt list it.

      • Sean

Good call. Must mean they’re gonna wake it up with a software update sometime down the road.

  • Roberto Jaimes

Completely different but I got my iPhone yesterday and normally where I used to get full signal on my note 3 I get only 2 or 3 on my iPhone. Find it bizzare.

    • krym73

So u downgraded? You should check out the videos of iPhone bending by being in your front pocket. Did that ever occur with your Note 3?

      • Bud

note 3 is also on jelly bean.

        • krym73

Mines is on KitKat and it has been for quite a while.

        • Paul

As krym73 said, it’s on Kitkat and will likely get the upgrade to Android L next year.

      • Steven Pham

you don’t have iPhone 6 plus yet rite…?…I can tell.

        • Yeah he doesn’t. Just believing and riding on every little thing about the iPhone. I have one of them, and it does not bend easy. One person reported this and the net goes crazy, it’s silly. Whomever this happened to, was wearing the worlds tightest pants.

        • krym73

I buy iPhones but just to make money off the sheeple and other markets outside if the U.S, I myself wouldn’t be able to downgrade my Note3 for such an inferior device, I’ve tried the iphone5 and it’s pretty much boring and marketed for ppl whom don’t understand much of how ram and a file manager work… so ill let those toys be for those whom suffer from memory loss or are just lazy, collect my profit and bounce. I know it hurts but even the design of their new devices was a big flop compared to previous years.

        • Steven Pham

sorry but I got note 3 about 10 months…and thanks god…iPhone 6 plus came out and I can UPGRAGE it from the SAMESHJT NOTE 3…..SO MUCH PROBLEM…that’s my 2nd android phones…1st one was htc one but 6 months…then note 3 ..10months…but sameshjt is the worst…lagging…the alarm didn’t go on anymore..text kept spinning….internet so slow…have to reset all the time…the worst part was battery drain crazy…4 hrs without using it…so more….

        • krym73

Can’t fix User error, most definitely the iPhone meets your needs.

        • Paul

I do not doubt you weren’t thrilled with the Note 3 but it seems you didn’t want to be based on your experiences you shared.

Lagging – Never have had lag since I’ve purchased my Note 3.
the alarm didn’t go on anymore – This could be a conflict with another app, or a conflict within the settings, and there are far better alarm apps out there.
text kept spinning – Not sure how text would keep spinning, but I can’t say I’ve seen anything like that. I’ve never seen the text spin.
internet so slow – This would be a network performance issue and not the phone. I have had awesome speeds in my area and the phone holds its own.
have to reset all the time – “reset” and “reboot” are totally different things. If you’re rebooting then you might have an issue with a defective phone or apps that are conflicting. If it needs to be reset quite often then you have an issue that warrants a replacement. This has also happened to iPhones.
the worst part was battery drain crazy – ??? My Note 3 can easily outlast most iPhones. I set my settings to help reduce the amount of battery drain I get; screen brightness down, Bluetooth off, Wi-Fi off when not needed, location off, etc. I hardly ever need a charger at work.
4 hrs without using it – Not sure if this was a random thought or part of the above statement as “…” was used excessively and incorrectly. However, the Note 3 doesn’t drain in 4 hours unless you’re using a resource hog app like uTorrent…which doesn’t drain the battery in 4 hours when the screen is off.

Not everyone will like the Android phones, regardless of the phone builder, nor the iOS. Personally, I’m fan of the Note series and prefer Android over iOS. I think the new iPhones are quite interesting and I look forward to checking out my coworker’s 6+. I still love my Note 3 and won’t change to the 6. It’s about the OS experience and not always about the specs. Sadly, fans on both sides are blinded by marketing and numbers.

      • Stop posting this nonsense everywhere. Stop believing everything you read. I saw that stupid video, and the guy was struggling to bend it with his hands.

      • Paul

A lot of phones can bend and break. Then again, if you have small tight pockets then the big phones aren’t for them.

        • krym73

I have yet to see a Note3, i would post a link to different sources and even a video testing the Note3 but to get it approved by Cam we would have to wait till 2015.

        • Paul

True, but there have been complaints about the bend with the HTC one as well. It’s the material but it’s also where the phone is when it’s bending.

Sit on your phone and get a cracked screen. Thankfully, the Note 3 had a better responce when tested so I’m happy for that. Again, if they have tiny pockets then the big phoens aren’t for them.

    • donnybee

Congrats on the upgrade! I bet you’re enjoying better hardware with benchmarks that put your Note 3 to shame, even with the fake inflated benchmarks Sammy implemented. I’m sure the coverage issue is quickly resolved. At least you don’t have to deal with the plethora of issues from just having Android.

      Cheers!

      • JamesG

Good lord dude, can you be anymore of a prick? Its a year difference, of course its going to be faster! You also dont understand how signal bars work on phones

  • Myphone007

I decided to preorder the 4 just now. It was great the process online worked flawless with jump!

  • Shadlom

    No pink or gold, bummer.

  • Chad Dalton

Just went to jump…and got this message!

“Our website is temporarily unable to complete your request. Please try again in a few minutes. For immediate assistance, please call 1-877-334-7151”

    • Sean

      Old jump or new jump?

      • Chad Dalton

        Old jump…

    • SEBA

I got similar message our systems are not currently available.

    • Calvin Nop

I did my jump on the mobile site on my m8. went through without a hitch. I did do the preorder at 730am pdt though…

  • jbrizzy

    No pink ? Girl bye

    • noc007

My SO is disappointed there’s no Pink. Getting her a white and will be putting a pink case on it.

      • jbrizzy

Im gonna hold out and wait, they are saying that gold and pink will be released some time later on, so Im gonna hold out. Im so tired of getting white phones lol

        • Paul

Wouldn’t putting a case on it solve the issue? Both color and protection would be solved. Just passing a thought. Personally, I prefer the black, grey, or white color lines. Once I have a case on it the color is hardly an issue.

Though, it wouldn’t hurt to have a magenta colored one.

        • jbrizzy

I just want a colored phone for once, I currently have a white g2 and put many cases on it, but its not the same for me

        • Paul

          I can totally understand!

        • JB

          That’s racist. Lol

        • jbrizzy

          lol you funny

  • david

Mine shows to be delivered by 10/3

    • mike aybinder

Where does it show the date? I looked on tmobiles order status page and there is no date

      • Calvin Nop

They should send you a text message with order number and shipment date

        • Ivan

I got a Text Message that states 09/25/14 which we all know isn’t the case.

        • Calvin Nop

i got the same ship date. we’re just gonna have to wait and see what happens next

        • mike aybinder

How soon after preordering did you get the text?

        • Calvin Nop

about 5-10 mins after i placed my preorder

  • Trollin

    Mine says 10.23

  • jordany argueta

Just got mine and don’t forget about the samsunggalaxypromotions.com for up to $200 if you trade in a working device.

  • auser72

I have been a loyal Samsung customer since tmobile’s vibrant and have gotten the Note 2 & 3. This is the first time I’m considering getting a IPhone. I’m going to let the smoke clear and wait until the first of the year to make a decision.

    • Android_God

Samsung already announced price cuts to the note l4 yet it appears tblow isn’t passing that on

      • csmits

        Link?

    • krym73

Look up the new iphone bending issues, i would’ve thought Cam would post an article on TMONEWS stating the phone he flooded this site with, is now as great as he believed, well he hasn’t… but even the TV News are stating people are bending their iPhone from just putting it in their front pockets.

      • Anonymous

It’s a major launch. He didn’t flood this site, he matched the feelings of most of the damned country who were talking about the phones. When something sells 10 million units over a weekend there isn’t anything more that needs to be said to your typical small Johnson syndrome Android cynics. There will never be ONE new Android handset launch that will ever have 10 million first weekend sales. And im an android user

        • Jon

Never say never because one day you may just end up eating your words.

        • krym73

Just like Apple did saying no one will ever buy a big phone, you remember that? Was up with the sheeple claiming to be android users under anonymous? Lmao
          Try again

        • Anonymous

Excuse me? If you are going to come on here and make accusations, provide evidence or keep your mouth shut. Your little hystrionics might amuse you, but only amuse me if they had some basis in reallity. I am an Android user, and I stand by my point that coverage follows the scope of the launch. A phone with massive opening week sales wil get hype.

        • tbo

“There will never be ONE new Android handset launch that will ever have 10 million first weekend sales.”

If, like Apple, there was only one Android maker release 1 or 2 phones a year there would be a lot more than 10MM first weekend sales. Android sells 5x-10x more units each year than Apple. So first weekend sales would be between 50 – 100 million for Android. Split it up between 10+ manufacturers with 100s of phones launched throughout the year and you will see less. You argument is weak.

      • Adrayven

Meh, I’ve the 6+, it’s fine, mostly hyped by media. Those claiming it bends easy are fully of it.. That said, I’ve seen 5, 5s, LG, and HTC’s bent come into Best Buy. You’d be amazed at what you can see done to a phone working in retail. Metal bends.. The larger area, when you sit on it, make’s it more vulnerable..

iPads are just, if not more likely, to have this issue, but people don’t sit on those… usually! So non-issue.. When you sit on a phone and you weigh between 120 300lbs, or more.. what the hell do you expect?

Look at Youtube video, the guy had to really torque the dang thing.. I tried on mine, /shrug, nope, not w/o reaaaly going at it. Not going to do that..

Really liking mine, prefer to not bend it. heh

Now, the iOS 8.0.1 update issues, THATS a pain the the a**

        • skittle

I read that other phones can be bent too. I am thinking skinny jeans and tight pockets might be involved. Side pockets or back pockets in tight pants put the hurt on some phones.

        • krym73

Never heard of a Note3 bending.

        • jeffy

          Yeah coz its bulky!

      • Ashton3002

Every aluminum phone bends at some point. My HTC evo LTE did. My m7 did and a test done on the m8 shows it didn’t bend much however the glue to keep the screen intact was coming off.

    • gregory

You’ve never had an Samsung. You’re here to troll and promote iphone and get up votes from those doing the same.

  • Android_God

F this bull crap! Samsung announced PRICE CUTS on the Note 4 to compete with Apple! F T-Mob

    • Anoni

They didn’t announce anything ghetto-fab. There is a rumour that in a few months the Note 4 might get a price reduction. Par for the course for slightly older phones.

  • Jerry Rich

I’m hearing the iphone 6+ will be given away free at Walmart. Only the bent ones though.

    • donnybee

That’s only after they’ve given away the stock piles of plastic phones that have shattered screens.

      • JamesG

Mostly iphones? Get out of here sheep

  • csmits

Ordered mine this morning as well (although they said the pre-order would start only from 12pm est). went very smooth. My easiest t-mobile order experience so far. I did miss a bit the pre-order trill. No big announcement, no website going down,…

  • Rob

Don’t pre-order this if you’re hedging your bets on 700MHz until its been confirmed that it is active. Seriously, we have had phones released before that have specific band support that remained locked down because there was never a radio dropped for it. A perfect example is the 1700 band on AT&T S3, if the T-Mobile developer radio never was leaked, it wouldn’t have been ever been enabled.

I’ve decided to hold off until there is actual confirmation other than an FCC filing showing the frequency being tested that there is a radio supporting band 12 out of the box.

Besides, we don’t even know how much Samsung has locked this phone down yet so even if a developer radio image with band 12 does drop, there is no guarantee that it will be possible to use it.

Buy the phone because of the features and specs that it has right now, not because you assume it will be compatible with band 12. T-Mobile pulled this crap with the S3, launching it without an LTE radio full well knowing they would have LTE very shortly and then turned around and gave the finger to everyone who bought the device assuming it had the same radio that every other version did by releasing an S3 LTE and telling everyone who bought the original S3 they have to pay full price for a new phone.

    • hanfeedback

ATT never had a reason to release a radio with AWS support, in fact it’s too their advantage to NOT make it easy for their phones to be used on Tmobile. Even the ATT specs for the Note 4 list Band 12 support.

      • taron19119

T-mobile note 4 has band 12 its lock and t-mobile well not say it has band 12 because band 12 is not lit up yet

        • hanfeedback

Im sure thats probably the case, as long as it has the capability thats all Im worried about. On a side note, I got to play with a Note4 today at the Tmobile store, looking forward to it.

      • Rob

That’s not my point. Of course it doesn’t benefit at&t, that’s not my point at all. The point is that T-Mobile used at&t’s S3 for their AWS LTE testing yet until that radio was leaked, no amount of work by the best brains on XDA could figure out how to unlock AWS on the at&t version despite the hardware supporting it.

This could easily be a situation where T-Mobile opts yet again to screw their customers and never release the radio update that would enable it while nobody manages to figure out how to unlock it using the at&t radio.

Basically, I’m just letting people know that if band 12 is a driving force in their decision, they would do well to wait until devs have the device in hand and confirm exactly what the situation is.

        • RobsBitter

The bitterness and anger is deep with this one.
So T-Mobile opted “yet again” (so obviously this has happened numerous times) to voluntarily screw their customers? You ASSUMED that the phones in the past would be released with the specs you wanted. That wasn’t T-Mobile opting to screw their customers.

Since you’re bashing T-Mobile and accusing them of choosing to screw their customers, then you should be able to answer the following questions:
          * How far in advance did T-Mobile place the non LTE S3 order with Samsung?
          * What type of pricing deal, incentives/marketing $’s, and release date commitments did they receive from Samsung in return for ordering the non LTE devices?
          * Did T-Mobile ever say that the S3 would be a LTE phone? Or did you read blogs about testing and jump to that conclusion yourself?
          * Since they didn’t announce the original S3 had LTE, under what obligation are they to trade in your non LTE phone straight up for a LTE version and take a loss because YOU screwed up?
          * If they were going to launch LTE, wouldn’t it makes sense to use a LTE phone in testing?

Don’t point the finger at T-Mobile due to something you did.

        • Rob

The only S3 SKU that was released without LTE was T-Mobile’s. It was a logical assumption that it would be LTE like the rest of the phones and when LTE launched, they launched an S3 LTE when the S3 was basically EOL already (to be replaced by S4 and HTC One).

I’m not bitter about anything. I have T-Mobile and I’m quite happy with them, I’m just warning people that if it’s not being advertised, don’t expect it. Which is basically the same point that you’re making.

I’m not about to spend time looking up the launch press for the S3 for Tmo when I was using the S3 as an example and nothing more. What is more valid, however, is the fact the at&t model had AWS support in the hardware that devs were unable to activate until the developer radio T-Mobile used on at&t’s SKU to test their new LTE network was leaked. Again, this all just reinforces my point. It isn’t advertised to have it, don’t expect it to have it, and if it does have it, there is no telling when T-Mobile will unlock it.

    • taron19119

The note 4 has band 12 its lock and will need an update to unlock it

    • Philip

Didnt the same thing happen with the Nexus 4 on T-mobile with the LTE few years back?

    • superg05

think note 2 before you mouth off

      • Rob

        What about it?

Things change… We live in a world of locked bootloaders and Knox now. It’s stupid to believe that developers are guaranteed to unlock something, there are still devices that haven’t even had their SIM lock removed or their efuses disabled.

I’m in no way trying to dissuade people from buying the phone, I’m just trying to dissuade them until we know more if they are doing it for band 12 support.

        • HothTron

          Most of us don’t care

        • Rob

Well then my post doesnt apply to you, I was pretty specific that my audience was people who are buying based on 700MHz band 12 compatibility.

        • Noor Mahmoud

” It’s stupid to believe that developers are guaranteed to unlock something,”

It is stupid to believe that developers AREN’T guaranteed to unlock something on one of the most popular devices ever.

Heck, if nobody does it, which I doubt, then I can, and will, do it myself.

    • JamesG

Look on the tmobile site, the Avant doesnt even have band 12 listed. Its not listed because its not launched yet

      • Rob

The T-Mobile site has never really been correct on phone specifications anyway so even if it was officially launched, it would probably still be missing.

There is no guarantee that T-Mobile will release a proper update to unlock band 12 and therefore it makes sense to let people know that its a gamble to buy the device if that is what is driving the purchase decision. Its not like we will have long to wait after it is released before we find out what bands it supports, if the bootloader is encrypted, and what we have to look forward to with Knox among everything else.

  • taron19119

How do I keep my plan it keep saying charged plan

    • Edboy

Call customer service. People with grandfathered plan can’t pre-order online since Tmo is trying to migrate everyone to the simple choice one, But CS will be able to bypass that. Good luck!

      • taron19119

        I do have simple choice

  • 21stNow

Has anyone with an Even More Plus plan tried to order and used the EIP option? I didn’t think that we could use EIP anymore but it shows up as an option when I go to check out. I’m not ready to complete my order yet, so I can’t see if I could actually check out with the EIP option.

    • Shadlom

Last year i got my nexus 5 and i used the eip option. I was surprised it went through and they didn’t even force me to move to simple choice. So you should be alright.

      • Shadlom

And yea I was on the $60 even more plus plan at the time.

      • 21stNow

Thanks for the heads-up. I’m more curious than anything. I’m hoping that the gold color becomes available soon.

  • javier nogues

I’ve been to the T Mobile stores and I’ve also looked at T mobile.com and the Galaxy Avant the Note 4 and the ZTE do not have band 12 listed in website or box or 700 mghz or in description whats going on.

  • Disallusioned Dan

I placed the order twice this morning, once online (but seemed to have processing issues) and once via phone sales. Both times I received an order # but both times the order was never released but my credit card was charged and just now they asked for my credit card info a third time. I cancelled both orders and will now look elsewhere for a phone. I was hoping to dump AT&T. I guess it’s time to try Verizon. If “uncarrier” means an f’d up order system and a lack of desired for new customers, then tmo succeeded.

And I was finally excited about the Note 4 after deciding against a iphone 6 plus. Tmo has turned my excitement into anger…all over a phone.

P.S. Also there was an unbelievable amount of noise (shouting, laughing, screaming) it the background. Maybe a party was going on. I understand they are jammed in a call center room, but it was ridiculous.

    • Disillusioned Dan

Make that Disillusioned Dan. Maybe I spelled my name wrong on the orders.

    • Mike Palomba

I would give it another try. T-Mobile is great and once you get the phone you’ll enjoy your service

      • Dan

I figured two times was enough. I also don’t like that my card was charged and I still have received no confirmation of cancellation, so now I need to call again.

Best Buy is next on my list. They don’t sell T-mobile (at least not the note 4) but I can get the $200 gift card without waiting for the samsung check and I have a reward certificate that I may be able to apply as well.

Of course I am also no fan of Best Buy.

  • javier nogues

No band 12 listed on box or tmobile. Com on ZTE note 4 or galaxy avant and I don’t know what’s going on

    • Paul

As many have pointed out in the article comments below, the Note 4 HAS the band 12. It’s not listed on T-Mobile’s site but is listed on the FCC filing. Likely they will have an update that will unlock this band when the rollout is turned on.

      • D D

Yes, why unlock it in the first place when you can send out a firmware update at a later date that may screw up the modem. Activating it now would not cause issues if they wanted to. I doubt it will ever be activated if it isn’t at the start.

    • JamesG

The Avant doesnt have it listed either but we know its supported…

  • javier nogues

Bands are hardware not sofware issue it has to be there physically and listed on full specs bro to begin with am i right if not educate me.

    • JamesG

The Note will have it, the Avant doesnt have it listed on the Tmobile site either

  • javier nogues

so if I spend money on a new phone I have to hope that eventually is there and gets unlocked because its hidden because if it doesnt happen I won’t have reception at work but others do because band 12 penetrates buildings and thats what I need but it’s a risk to take lol

    • Mike Palomba

Even If T-Mobile didn’t unlock band 12 as long as the phone is compatible with it devs will find a way to unlock it themselves. But T-Mobile wants everyone to have the best coverage so as long as the phone is capable they’ll probably send out a system update to enable it

      • Rob

This is entirely untrue. Devs had no luck unlocking AWS on at&t’s S3 despite the S3 having the hardware support until a specially made AWS radio that T-Mobile made for the at&t S3 to test LTE was leaked.

It isn’t a simple matter of just unlocking locked bands, especially since using such a device would be illegal if it wasn’t on the FCC testing such as is the case with AWS HSPA and LTE on the at&t S3

      • Paul

True story on the Devs, they LOVE to unlock things inside the devices.

    • Paul

      – You can use WiFi calling to get reception in your office building if that’s an issue.
      – the Cell-Spot could also be a solution for the work issue if they don’t have a WiFi.
      – The 700MHz hasn’t been rolled out so you wouldn’t be able to use it now.
      – The FCC has shown that it has the Band 12 there, so it’s safe to assume that the Note 4 would be compatible when the rollout begins.

I understand your concerns but it’d be better to research the Note 4, the T-Mobile’s 700 rollout, and other solutions for bad reception indoors.

      • javier nogues

thanks bro but where I work we can not use the wi-fi is password protected so we are on our own

  • Mike Palomba

I don’t think his can beet the iPhone 6. This phone is amazing. Think twice before you order the note 4 becuse the 6 plus is another great choice. I have the 6 but in sure he plus would be great too

    • superg05

lol for the display alone its worth it silly rabbit tricks are for kids now go play with your toys, eat some cereal and leave the adults alone

      • donnybee

..You’re talking about the plastic toys, right? The ones that stall and hang when you try to open apps or maneuver the OS, and are about as reliable as a toy? Oh, okay

        • Rob

Man… People drink the iOS kool-aid way too much. My m8 and my nexus 7 are both more stable than my Air, the only thing the Air has on them is the phenomenal battery life, especially the standby time.

I think the bending iPhone reports are hilarious and that doesn’t really make me think of them as something that will be reliable either…

        • donnybee

The M8 had reports of getting bent too. Did that make you think it was less reliable? And from someone who has owned pretty recent Android devices and iPhones, I can honestly say iOS will beat Android in operational speed and fewer hang-ups. To each their own, but Android really is a heavy system.

        • Chris

wow, Rob is right, you are definitely drinking iOS Kool-aid way too much. iOS lags just as much as an android phone out there. I’ve seen people who went from Note 2 -> iPhone 5S (only to sell 5S 6 months later) and bought a Note 3. His reasoning? Don’t believe anyone who says iOS is buttersmooth cause it isn’t.

And my iOS experience isn’t buttersmooth either. I’ve seen it lag; I’ve seen apps close (equivalent to Android’s Force Close).

        • donnybee

Okay, this is just a ridiculous claim. Let me tell you my experience now. I’ve owned an iPhone 5S since a month after its release. A friend of mine has had Android phones for years now. He’s had the Note, the GS3 and the Note 2. He would routinely use my 5S to play around with or to browse on and he loved how fluid it was. He had no problems with hanging, pausing, or otherwise stalling. He loved everything about it except for the screen size and the lack of Swype. He has since upgraded to the 6+ and hasn’t looked back. The last Android phone I owned was the GS4. I can tell you from my experience and from his that android is still buggy and hangs regardless of the processor or RAM.

Call it Kool-Aid, call it the herd, call it what you will.. But I will always challenge anyone near me to show me how fluid their Android phone is at tasks and show them how fluid my iPhone is while doing the same thing. It used to be that everyone hated my small screen, but now they don’t have to miss out on the ease of use just because of that. Let’s not forget that the iPhone 5S even beats the GS5 in benchmark tests.. Hardware outperforms, software that’s actually optimized, and the fact that they’re both designed to work for each other makes such an environment that no other android user that knows me has been able to replicate on their device. Just because the cool thing to do is hate Apple doesn’t mean your product is better. I give props where it’s deserved, and I’ll say I love Moto’s original X. They actually designed it so well to work as a mobile system should, but that’s the one phone that nobody around me owns. However, I have yet to see any other Android device that can match that of iOS. And many individuals around me would agree, my original example as proof, as he’s now a happy 6+ owner and hasn’t regretted it. Say what you will, but the “hate everything Apple” argument is just as unoriginal as the argument attempts to poke fun at. It’s old and unfounded. But in the end, to each his own.

        • Rob

All of those devices you listed as using are Samsung devices which use TouchWiz and are known for being laggy. You can’t draw a comparison between the two operating systems and call one inferior because of what Samsung chooses to do to it. Android as Google intended it is very smooth and extremely stable. This is a fact.

I’m not hating on Apple devices. I own an iPad Air. I actually bought two of them because my roommate wanted one. Neither of us ever use them.

To each their own but don’t talk about Android as if the versions that Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, etc put out are true to the Android experience that Google intended. If Samsung could license iOS, they’d bog it down too!

        • Jose Hernandez

Ok, Not disagreeing with you on the lag on the Samsung Galaxy Units, But those phones are not really Android Phones, those are Android Based phones. I have the Note 3, and sometimes, very rarely I do notice a little something.

The only real Android Phones are the Nexus devices. They run pure Android software, everything else has their OEM skin on top and that can cause issues.

I am moving over to the Nexus line with the new device that is launching Nexus 6/Nexus X/ Nexus S.

So, it will never be correct to talk Android Vs IOS performance, unless you are using a Nexus device for your comparison.

          Just my 2 cents

        • Rob

Any aluminum phone is going to be prone to bending, it didn’t deter my purchase decision because I protect my phones in a case.

My point is that iOS is not as superior as people make it out to be and any phone has defects that make it vulnerable. I never hear about people breaking the plastic on their Samsung phones unless they actually manage to destroy the whole thing anyway so it’s a moot point. On just about any phone the glass is the thing you have to worry about and that’s universal.

        • Jose Hernandez

What were the Android devices you have owned?

        • JamesG

Yup, iPhones dont do any of that shit because they dont do anything…

    • I lick Iphon

u knew wut im telking boit? ipone cix es greet selphon. tha spel convection werks owsum

    • Android_God

Sorry but the retards on this site can dish out a GRIP of iPhone $hit but they can’t handle their own feces thrown back at them.

    • gregory

I hate iphone promoters. Like what you like but don’t get on blogs and to try convince people not to buy iphones.

      • Mike Palomba

I was an android person and I would’ve never looked at an iPhone until I borrowed my friends for one day. That same day I sold my android and bought an iPhone and I’d never go back to android again. I’m just letting people know that they should give ios a shot before buying a note 4 because theyre used to android

  • VG

Very disappointing if this phone doesn’t support Band 12. Don’t understand how T-Mo can release mid-range phones like Galaxy Avant and ZTE MAX with Band 12 support, but no high end phones. Very confusing strategy.

    • JamesG

It will have band 12, The tmobile site doesnt even list the Avant as having Band 12

      • B-Mobile

that is worth noting, i did look on the Avant page (just for kicks) and noticed Band 12 was missing

    • Mike

      https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=2386351

This one from Samsung to FCC, and it should say under LTE: B2/4/5/12/17

  • B-Mobile

that is very interesting: how AT&T Wireless has Band 12 confirmed on their website. But T-Mobile does not…..

  • javier nogues

The only reason I can think they’re hiding the bands on the site or on the box of 12 is because of marketing purposes because so people would still buy the ones that have no band12 support which is messed up even though I like tmobile.yeah they can use the excuse that is still not up ,but remember they have to sell the 4G phones and the ones that are not compatible with band 12 they have to make money on those phones too.

    • JamesG

Also the band isnt officially launched yet

  • javier nogues

Iphone 6 is not compatible too and have to sell as many as they can too.

  • HothTron

Sadly gonna have to wait for a Note 4, i’m still barely half way paid off with my note 3 on Jump!, I is sad….

    • Rob

If you’re “barely halfway” paid off, then you’re jump eligible unless your definition of barely halfway is under 50%

      • HothTron

I’m eligible, but I still have a negative equity difference on the Note 3, so no free upgrade unless I pay that off or wait till next year

        • Rob

Hmm… is there a Jump change I don’t know about?

From what I understand, with the new Jump you take the old phone to the T-Mobile store and they wipe out the entire balance up to 50% and allow you to start a new EIP from that point.

If you’ve paid off half of the phone, you shouldn’t have any further liability?

I have the original Jump that just gives me a maximum of two credits in a rolling 12 month period regardless of the balance owed so I may not be up to date if the program changed again but that was my last understanding was that you can jump as many times as you want provided that you pay off a total of half of the EIP balance each time.

        • HothTron

I HAVE NOT paid off half the phone EIP balance is my point

        • JamesG

Uh, do not understand how Jump works?

        • skittle

Free upgrade? Sound like being trapped in a time warp ;) There are no free upgrades on T-Mobile.

        • HothTron

          Reading comprehension. Learn it.

  • Toasted_Cracker

I pre-ordered this morning and I got a text message saying it will be delivered tomorrow September 25th. I’ll believe it when I see it but it would be a welcome surprise.

    • CKR

Over at xda they are seeing a lot of that too. Wonder what the deal is? Dates are all over the place.

    • erma

Tmo seems to have a state of the art ordering and provisioning system in place.

    • Cal

Mine says the same thing. But the reason it is saying that is because I did overnight shipping. The system doesn’t know the difference. It thinks I made an overnight order, so it assumes I would get it on the 25th.

  • Myphone007

How exactly does it work with Jump? Currently have Note 3 on Jump. Did the order and it gave me an RMA for it. I return it when I get the Note 4 next month, but yet, I will still be charged and have to pay my Jump monthly payment? Probably a good idea to take it off autopay?

  • trife

    Hey Android guys,

Can anyone tell me why a lot of you spend your time discussing the iPhone? The article that these comments are under is one about an Android device. What does the iPhone 6 or 6+ have to do with what you just read?

And I’m legit asking here–no trolling whatsoever. I just find it curious that all over the internet you can catch Android fans trashing the iPhone instead of discussing how awesome the newest/latest Android device is. Why do people go out of their way to talk about something they hate?

    • Aooga

No idea. I have had the same question for ages.

    • skittle

I don’t know but lets talk about the awsome upcoming Note 4. I know people say “Its just like my Note 2 or Note 3!!!!” Well, thats awsome then right? Or “its only just a bit better”. Thats even more awsome :)

    • Apple 4Life

      iPhone blows.

    • Android_God

Welcome to TMO News dude! This BS has been going on FOR YEARS on this site. The comments section on any site though is where sadness lives. As a 6 year Android user I apologize for some these mental defects. They are an embarrassment.

      • trife

Thank you for your insight, sir. It’s invaluable.

    • david

“Are you pre-ordering a Note 4, or has Apple got your money this year?”
Well maybe because the original post asked a question pertaining to Apple. Do you have a reading problem?

      • trife

        Calm down, bro.

    • asdf

LOL same thing happens on the Apple sites. I just clicked a link for apple insider. All they do is bash android and Samsung in the comments over there. It happens both ways

      • trife

Really? I only see Android/Samsung get bashed when there is a post about ads bashing the iPhone. I’m part of another online forum with very distinct threads for iPhone and Android device users and I swear Android users regularly show up in the iPhone thread to jaw-jack.

Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I’ve noticed far more Android guys going out of their way to clown. And this is coming from someone who has owned more Android phones than iPhones.

    • I’m primarily an Android user, but I recently sold my Nexus 7 and got an iPad Mini Retina and I LOVE that thing. I was never fond of Android as a tablet OS, and in the brief stint I had with an iPod Touch 5th gen I wasn’t really sold on iOS as a phone OS. But I don’t hate Apple in the slightest. They make some GREAT devices, even the iPhone (just because it’s not *my* preference doesn’t mean I can’t see how others like it).

I think that lately you see a lot more Apple vs Android discussion because the iPhone is now bigger. I’ve had a few of my Android friends say that they would like iPhones but wished the screens were bigger, and now that this has happened there’s discussion as to if they’re going to go iPhone now or stay with Android. So, it’s logical to me that these types of discussions are going to happen all over the net.

To be honest I haven’t seen as much hatred of other platforms as I do on BlackBerry sites (I still frequent those because I have a Z10 I like to tinker with, and BlackBerry will always hold a special place in my heart). But my goodness if I had a dollar for everytime I’ve heard iSheep and various slurs toward Android (hemdroid, robot, etc) I probably wouldn’t be at work right now.

  • NardVa

I went to phonedog to watch a dogfight and I saw Cam doing the videos..WTF…Aaron is gone…it’s all good though.

  • Bill Smith

I’m going to “Jump” to a Windows phone. I’m tired of all the lies and waiting for android updates that never come.

    • skittle

Or, jump to no phone, who cares?

      • FILA

or jump to a Nexus!!! Avoid all the carrier update headaches

    • VG

I’m still waiting for the Windows Phone 8.1 update for my Lumia 925 that was supposed to be available in the summer. Summer is over and no news on the update. Unless you have an iPhone or a Nexus, you’ll have to wait for OS updates.

    • Jose Hernandez

The only way to guarantee you get android updated on time is to get a Nexus phone. Other than that, and you will get stock waiting for them.

      • I’ve received 2 updates on my M8 in the 2 months since I’ve had it…

  • Android_God

    Geez says backorder!

  • SEBA

Finally ordered Note 4 in store. I’ll keep it until Note Edge comes out. Did you know that Note Edge it’s a clone of Youm that was announced by Samsung last year at CES 2013

  • suicuneisme

I’m so glad I was actually the first to preorder the phone. But my ship date is September 30th. If T Mobile makes that happen….idk what I would do.

    • SEBA

Where do you see ship date? I can’t see this info anywhere.

      • suicuneisme

When i call that’s what it says. I can honestly say i doubt that info though.

      • Scott

Its on the main account page under “alerts” on the right hand side. Mine says pending shipping on 9/24 via UPS

        • SEBA

Under alerts it says your device order is being processes

  • noc007

So those that pre-order will have to wait for the shipping carrier to drop by in 1-7 days while they could have picked it up in the store on launch day?

    • SEBA

Yeah, that’s the way it looks right now. I know that all previous pre orders were delivered 1 week before launch day

      • noc007

1 week before would be nice. The pre-order I did for the Note 3 ended up arriving a few days after launch.

    • Kevin

I am debating if i should cancel my pre order and just line like 2-3hrs before my tmo store opens so i have it on launch day. I’m afraid i wont get ti til like a week later since they ship it ups ground unless you pay like $20 to get it sooner

  • Victor

Don’t get me wrong the note 3 was a great phone and I owned it until today . sold it and I currently own the 6 plus

    • Andy

How do you like the 6+ vs the Note? How does display and typical daily performance compare? I probably prefer Android, but I am not a fan of Google (not that Apple is a saint, but they seem to track various usage a little less).

      • Chinh Nguyen

I had Note 2 and just bought the Iphone 6+. Battery life is amazing, beating my friend’s note 3. Screen is gorgeous (but I reserve that statement for Note 4 when it comes out). It depends if you prefer IOS vs Android. I used to root and flashed rom on Android, but the polish UI just works for me.

        • jacky

iphone 6 plus is shit cant beat samsung note 4 2k display hd amoled.

      • Victor

Both have pros and cons. Can’t go wrong with either phone but I prefer the iPhone 6 plus

    • JJCommonSense

Just dont put that thing in your pocket…

  • bob

what the heck does iphone have to do with this article? If you want icrap, go read about icrap. I have used icrap and don’t like it so I never spend any time trolling or reading about it. Why do icrap users always have to be such trolls? I need more fire or acid arrows to get rid of them

  • BuddyLuv

DAM! If that is the case; I shouldn’t have pre-ordered. Should have just waited till the 17th, walked into the Tmo store down the street and get it then. What’s the point of pre-ordering if your not gonna get the device on release date. I think am gonna call customer care and cancel my pre-order.

  • lee

why preorder? well, if you turn in an old smartphone, between now and the 17th of Oct. Samsung will reimburse you for 200. Call T-Mo to confirm. I believe that’s only if you pre-order vs. picking up at the store. I can wait a few more days to save 200 bucks. I think it’s a check they send you.

    • JJCommonSense

**corrected** U have to preorder in order to get the promotion…. and the $200 is just what theyre guaranteeing for your old phones tradein. So if TMO gives you $100 for your GS4 then Samsung will give you another $100.. its not a flat $200 on top of what u get.

      • JamesG

No they dont, Samsung gives you the difference in your trade in up to $200

        • JJCommonSense

Thanx for pointing that out.. i meant to say that “Samsung will give you another $100” originally … i corrected my comment

      • SirMakoto

no that’s not how the promotion will work. it has been mentioned in a few posts above, if your GS4 trade in is worth $100, then samsung will pay the difference of $100, equaling to $200. so it’s best to trade in something that’s about $10, and samsung will give you $190.

    • p0nch0

Well would it be nice if Cam would give us a article on this reporting, i guess he’s too busy not trying to bend his 6+

  • Kevin

this works with t-mobile? i have jump and traded in my phone… so samsung will cut me a check for $200 towards the rest of the balance?

    • lee

don’t think it works if you use the jump option, only for those who are buying the phone

      • Kevin

ah ok well it was worth i shot, maybe i can ask samsung to confirm?

  • AdamBath

Sony is getting my money. I really considered the Note 4, but love my Z1s too much and am not a big fan of Touchwiz. The battery life on the Z3 and Z3 Compact are nothing short of phenomenal, and means I don’t have to have a huge phone to enjoy such battery life.

    • Noah McLaughlin

Why not just ust root, and flash a Rom? You can obviously choose whichever device you want though..

      • AdamBath

I’ve found I don’t really care to do that anymore. Sony’s Android is very light and has many of the features I’d want in a rom. My Z1s didn’t have root for the first 6 months or so, and it never even bothered me. Only reason I rooted it was for Chromecast screen mirroring, otherwise I’m all stock.

  • taron19119

Im glad my preorder was cancelled im going to line up day one and get the note4 white

    • Scott

There is a $200 rebate with the trade in of any smart phone if you preorder. https://samsunggalaxypromotion

      • JJCommonSense

U gotta read the fine print.. its up to $200.. so if TMO gives ub $150 for your trade in samsung will give you another $50…

        • Scott

You are right, but I just traded in my old mytouch 4G for $15, so I’ll be getting a check for $185. Still a win compared to nothing with buying it in the store on release day.

        • JJCommonSense

Definitely a win in my book! So did u pre-order the note? Im curious as to how that works with Jump. Do i send my old phone back once the note comes? Drop it off @ a store? I guess i could ask once i get serious about moving forward lol

        • Scott

I preordered it last night. They ship you a pre labeled box and you have 10days to toss the phone in and send it back once your Note comes. The guy at the store didn’t even turn on my old Mytouch 4g. He just scanned it and told me $15. It was actually only valued at $12 last week..so it went up some how? I could have traded in my current phone which is a s3, but I wanted to keep it to have for a back up. That and they were only going to give me $50 for the S3. Its worth at least $175 unlocked. My Mytouch 4g was just collecting dust in a closet, so it was a good deal for me.

I don’t have jump and won’t be getting it. After doing the math it really isn’t worth it in my opinion. I got a square trade warranty for $84 for 2yrs(normally $99…running a sale). Their deductible is only $75 compared to tmobile’s $175! It covers all the same stuff except for loss. They also seem to offer a lot of different solutions for replacement.

Here’s the terms and conditions of the promotion. Seems like you won’t be qualified if you buy note 4 at T-Mobile?

  • Erik

Its been said that online orders are taken care if first before the stores get them. Ppl who order online will get them 1st. I got confirmation from a T-Mobile store sales rep. So I went ahead and ordered mine online.

    • JB45

      Yea so did I

      • Kevin

I’m still skeptical about it, What type of shipment did you get? Part of my gut still tells me to lineup outside the store on release day. I can’t decide

        • JB45

I chose ground. I haven’t looked at my shipmate date yet. But the rep told me soon as it is available it would ship. I am unable to line up outside so pre-order was the way to go for me

        • taron19119

Its not shipping until October 17th

        • Scott

There is a $200 rebate with the trade in of any smart phone if you preorder. https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/Note4/

    • Shlomo Boukai

If you did the preorder in-store, will it get the same priority as an online order since it is being shipped directly to the customer?

    Note edge for me

  • csmits

Finally saw a first release date and price for the note edge. This is for Australia, so not US mind you. The note 4 will be released in AU end of October for $949 and the note will follow on November 4 for $1249.

  • Not pre-ordering, I’m afraid. My JUMP upgrade isn’t due until January 17th. I’m really happy with my HTC M8, but I wish I had kept plugging away with my LG G2 despite a random battery problem. I’m sure I could’ve made it work, but I’m impatient :). No matter, I’m like 95% sure I’ll be getting this in January.

    • Rob

I have the M8 myself… I don’t know if I can go back to crappy speakers after the M8 and the M7 before that. It makes such a difference, even on phone calls. Not to mention that the true Snapdragon upgrade, the 810, will be coming in 1H 2015 with massive performance improvement.

I wish HTC would release an M8 max with an 805 and QHD IPS, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

I called T-Mobile and if I Jump now I’ll be able to Jump again in April… Just don’t know.

      • TechHog

QHD is not something you should want. There is literally 0 tangible benefit to that resolution on a phone, but a myriad of disadvantages.

  • Verizonthunder

I will wait $750 is too much knowing I can get it cheaper online

    • ND

Actually its the cheaper than ATT and Verizon as they are over 800 off contract.

      • Verizonthunder

Trust me I’ll see it online in a month for a range between $500-$600 mint condition

        • ND

True. I am trading my s3 which is geting me $200 back so its the same amount $500 range

        • Verizonthunder

I can buy it online for possibly $500 and sell my LG g flex for $250 which I only will take a $250 hit.

        • Mike D.

Just go to swappa.Com people…. Or Craigslist at your own risk.

        • Verizonthunder

Shut your big mouth up lol ( joking ) that is where I get my devices at love Swappa.

        • Rob

Like swappa is some big secret? -_-

        • Android_God

No you you won’t. Stop lying

        • Verizonthunder

I don’t kiss and tell where I get my devices but it’s a reliable site

        • Android_God

Sh share the site or STFU with your bull$hit

        • Verizonthunder

Yeah I would work on articulating if I were you and spelling also.

        • Gomez

          swappa?

  • Bryck

Thought about the Note4, but I’ll stick with the awesome LG G3. Not worth the money.

    • Android_God

The LG G3 was the first and only Android phone I have owned where GMAIL requires constant force stop due to it hanging up and not opening emails. Not to mention that Samsung makes more vibrant screens.

      • Bryck

Haven’t had problems with GMAIL hagging. Don’t know about the screen, display though. TO ME IT’S SUPERIOR, and even if it wasn’t, I still wouldn’t be able to justify the 200 extra bucks.

  • Karrie Luminos

Preordered my SGN4. Can’t wait for it.

  • Back To Mac

Cancelled Note 4 pre-order and ordered the iPhone 6 plus. I did like the specs on the Note 4 except I could do without the high
res screen. It will suck up too much CPU/GPU to drive that thing
offsetting the benefits of the 805. I wish they would have going with a
1080p super amoled. The $200 trade in was tempting, but I realized I really wanted the 6+. I liked my Note 3, but I am becoming less of a fan of Google and their data mining.

    Now the wait begins.

    • spartanjet

Is there any penalty for cancelling a preorder?

      • Bklynman

Yes there is,you will get one new bendable Iphones! Must keep it for the next 2 years!

    • TechHog

      I don’t believe you.

    • gregory

I hate trolling if@gs promoting iphone.

  • Rotten Apple

Delivery date and shipping date are two different things. Is it going to be shipped or delivered on the 17th? Usually preorder phones ship a few days before the release date so it has the opportunity to be delivered on the release date. If it ships on the 17th, the earliest it will be delivered is the following Monday the 20th.

  • Binny Gupta

    Does it have band 12?

    • taron19119

Yes it has band 12 its lock

      • TechHog

Look at the spec list. It’s not there.

        • taron19119

I know and the fcc filling shows it has band 12 just like the galaxy avant has band 12 BUT its not listed Because its lock because t-mobile wants to keep sailing all the nan band 12 devices and then 12 is not available to the public yet
same thing happened with the note 2 LTE was available on the device but a lock and once t-mobile launch LTE they unlocked it

        • taron19119
    • TechHog

No, not according to the spec list.

  • pav

I need to hold the phone in my hand before I commit. I need to check out the edge in the Note Edge and decide which Note 4 to go for. Furthermore I am very keen on the VR headset. I wonder if the Note Edge will work with it. Bravo Samsung.. leave these bent Aluminum blocks in the dust..too skinny for their own good .
I have an IMac and IPad.. but for my phone, gotta hand it to Samsung.

    • p0nch0

Best Buy stores will have the Note 4 and the select stores will have the Note EDGE on display tomorrow. Check it out

  • Chris Allen

The Note 4 seems like the only other phone I’d get besides the iPhone 6 (not the 6+). While battery life still has me a bit worried, I do feel like I should hold out until it’s released now to make my final decision between the two phones.

    • p0nch0

Best buy will have it available to play with tomorrow.

      • Scott

        Where did you hear this?

      • Chris Allen

Thanks; I ended up going with an HTC One. I played with the device for so long that I fell in love with it. :)

  • ND

google site build for 700MHz spectrum lists Note 4 as one of the devices not sure if its a good source

    https ://sites.google .com/site/cellularbinder/compatible-phones

    • taron19119

The. Note 4 has band 12 its lock and t-mobile is going to unlock it when band 12 is available

  • B-Mobile

pdadb.net also listed Band 12 for the Samsung SM-N910T Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A

    I’m guessing N910T signifies the T-Mobile variant…

  • Bklynman

Can this phone bends like the new bendable Iphones? LoL!

    • metoo

I was an idiot and bought the iphone 6 plus and it bent on me….and no, I dont wear skinny jeans! Called apple and they send a prepaid shipping label with no questions asked for a full refund. Soon as I dropped off to fed-ex….I pre-ordered the note 4! Good thing I kept my note 3 to use in the meantime!

      • skittle

That settles it for me. Note 4 coming to my house soon.

      • donnybee

You’re one of the 0.00009% that have been affected! That’s some bad luck right there!

        • AD

and they have 900% of times bugs in new iOS releases. :)

    • skittle

Actually Samsung has an app built into TouchWiz called TaserWiz. If the phone sensor detect a slight 1 degree flex along the edges of the Note 4, the app automatically tasers or shock the heck out of the offending flexee ;)

    • donnybee

Oh, you mean the 9 reported incidents? LOL

This was probably all you thought of for days after the first one was reported! OMG Apple has 0.00009% of devices with a malfunction!!!! HA! This is literally making me laugh out loud right now! You do realize how tiny that number is, right? lol ..maybe? Or would you like someone to chime in and explain it?

      • Bklynman

Right only 9,right more likely 9000. One of them were here on this blog, like you wrote 9 reported. So since this information comes from apple, we will take with gain of salt, did you have poster Steve Job in your bedroom or shower?

  • B-Mobile

PDADB has the N910T listed with Band 12

Yep. Same here. On xda a lot of people are reporting this email. Seems like most people who pre ordered got this email.

  • krym73

If you want to check out the Note4 and the Note Edge, Best Buy will have them out on display tomorrow but only select stores will have the Edge.

    • Scott

3 weeks before launch? Where did you hear this?

      • krym73

They told me at the Samsung Experience Shop

        • Scott

I read online that its only in Dallas, San Fransico, Chicago, and LA

          :(

          http://www.androidorigin.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-hands-on-best-buy/

        • Scott

I just called my local bestbuy. They put them out today! It looks like the Note 4 will be in all Samung experience shops in bestbuys, while the Note Edge is only in select markets(San Fran, LA, Dallas, and Chicago).

  • skittle

Did anyone see a Note 4 on display in a T-Mobile store? My closest store only had the Note 3 but no Note 4 demo as of today.

    • krym73

Not T mobile, you must go to a Samsung Experience Shop in a Best Buy

      • skittle

        Thanks :)

        • Rio

there is no t-mobile version note 4 @ best buy

  • karipay

For those that preordered online, do you get the receipt after you placed the order or the receipt will come together with the phone when it arrives?

    • Scott

I got a receipt in the store, but the promo goes until 11/30.

    • BuddyLuv

I got a receipt as well. In Tmobile fashion, your receipt is the document you electronically signed.

  • BuddyLuv

If I knew the shipping date was going to be on launch day; I would have never pr-ordered.

    • Noor Mahmoud

It won’t be. It will be shipped a few days before. They say the same thing every year. I remember getting the HTC G2, Note 3, and maybe Note 2(don’t remember if I preordered it) atleast a day or more before the release date. In the case of the G2, I got it like a week before.

  • krym73

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 &Note Edge Fanatics, The Note 4 will be available for display at your local Best Buy store, and the Note Edge will be in display in select Best Buy stores. I post this because the Apple shill will not speak or post about this like other previous previews of upcoming non apple handsets, and if you have any doubts call your local Best Buy store to confirm.

    • Scott

I went to best buy this morning to play with it. Here are the main things I think are improved over the note 3
      -metal frame, just feels solid.
      -noticeably thinner
      -screen brightness/quality
-s pen accuracy, almost like writing on paper

Other things that blew me away(not directly to note3)
      -camera focus speed
      -speaker volume

Can’t wait to get this phone!

Funny side note, the iPhone 6 plus on display was bent already…. Ha ha

      • Fadi Jaouni

lmao saw a bent iPhone 6 at an apple store

  • bydavidrosen

Has anyone else gone into a store and played with one? I love my Note 3, and I kind of have to upgrade because of Jump, but I honestly wasn’t that impressed other than the camera. The camera is wayyyyy better. Noticeable right away. But otherwise I felt like I was using my same old Note 3. Screen isn’t noticeably much different, and performance, most importantly, isn’t really any better. For example I shot some pics and then hit the button that takes you to the gallery to see the pic you just shot and the phone hung for like a solid 5-6 seconds. That really has me unsure about whether I should preorder or wait to see what the other options this fall/winter are. That all being said, I’m sure I’d be perfectly happy with the Note 4 haha… It just wasn’t the major boost I was hoping for.

    • bydavidrosen

Oh and I should add that I hated the Note Edge. Something about that smooth screen side just is so WEIRD. It felt off-putting in a strange way. Hate is an overly strong word haha… I just can’t imagine ever wanting a phone with that feature.

      • Jon

You have to forgo the new metal premium finish of the Note 4 if you go with the Edge. I just don’t see the appeal of it. I have my watch for glanceable notifications. I don’t need them on the side of my phone too.

    • Victor

I had the 3 for a year. It’s a minor update but nice

    • Bklynman

I am in the same boat as you,I have Jump, the original Jump. I was thinking getting this phone, right now have the Note 3, but I am going to wait until Jan,when the new Sony comes out, and other phones,(between now and Jan) hoping LG releases a new GFlex.
I just might stay with the Note 4 comes Jan, I am using Spen more each day. Also I figure all the bugs will be workout by then with new Note 4. Or I might just get IPhone Flex.LoL

    • Jon

The thing is about any Android phone and particularly Samsung phones…that lag you experience is so easily done away with by just using a different App! Use the Google Now launcher or any OTHER launcher….they are all snappy and faster than TouchWiz launcher…although TouchWiz launcher is fast and great if you get rid of all the fluff, don’t use many widgets, and get rid of that godawful news ticker thing.

I like using the Google Camera Photo gallery, but for speed, a great fast gallery replacement is QuicPic. It’s just so damn easy to do away with lag on any device that I don’t get how people haven’t figured this out. I’m not talking about tinkering here…I’m talking about simply going to Google Play and downloading QuicPic and then when you select a photo, set it as your default app when it prompts you and that’s it.

  • skittle

I have been to a local T-Mobile store that had the Note 3 with a notification posted by it about the coming Note 4. The instore reps said they didnt have a demo yet.

    • JamesG

Only some bestbuy stores have it. Tmobile wont have it until the 17th

  • Scott

Funny side note, the iPhone 6 plus on display was bent already…. Ha ha

    • skittle

If an iPhone 6+ is bent will tech support say “You’re folding it wrong” ?

  • Victor

Finally saw the note 4 in person, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice phone and the screen is very beautiful but to similar to the note 3. I’m happy I pass for the iPhone 6 plus

  • hoppysport

My last iPhone was the iPhone 4. iOS was almost cartoonish for me. Then I migrated to the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Note 2 and now Note 3.

I naturally was going to.migrate to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 but was intrigued by the iPhone 6-Plus.

I e-mail and text a lot on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, using the beyond great Smart Keyboard Pro. I can do about 70 words-per-minute on my Note 3. That great keyboard would be pretty hard to give up.

I am also a huge S-Pen user. My only wish is a button lock for the pen.

So I went to the T-Mobile store today to play with the iPhone 6-Plus. It took me two minutes to make my decision…stay with the Note-Series.

One thing that I hadn’t realized was how much I was dependent on the Android back button. The iPhone doesn’t have that feature, or a menu button. Their OS is so amateurish and boring.

I pray that Samsung ditches their beyond awful My Magazine on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4…or a way to completely disable it. What a total piece of junk. Samsung, why don’t you form a fu*king focus group with real Galaxy users and listen to them?

That said, my few minutes with the iPhone 6-plus made me appreciate my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 so much more.

    • Victor

To each there own, the note 4 is nice but the screen wasn’t that much different from the plus. Had the note 3 for a year and recently got the plus and honestly there’s a big difference between Samsungs interface and apples os. I notice with samsung at times its very sluggish and apple never loses a beat. Won’t lie I do miss the back bottom and a few times in the last week I caught myself pushing it on the plus lol but you get use to not having it because honestly it’s faster to swipe back then reach for that button

      • Jon

I haven’t’ seen a note 4 in hand yet obviously, but I have held an iPhone 6 Plus and taken a close look at the screen. I currently am using an LG G3 that has the first widely Android phone with a Quad HD display.

Now I’ve read all over the place that the iPhone Plus has a great and beautiful screen. So I was shocked when I took a look at the 6 plus screen and my eyes in all of two seconds could see jaggies and pixelated looking text. I was like what the hell…do my eyes deceive me? The screen just did not look all that great close up. Now mind you…i’m used to my G3 quad HD display now.

I’m quite certain that the Note 4 will simply kill all other screens out including the G3 which I currently have. The Note 3 has been tested to be the most color accurate screen on a mobile phone…period. I believe that still holds even though the iPhone 6 is out. So I expect the Note 4 to have a beautiful, best in class in color accuracy, quad HD display (that’s 4X the resolution of the iPhone 6 720p screen).

    • JamesG

I agree with everything you just said. I dont understand why people enjoy iOS devices. Ive used them off and on over the years and the experience never changes. It takes more time to do something on iOS than it does to complete it on Android. Hardly any shortcuts are avaliable

  • Shadlom

About the Samsung trade-in $200 offer, does anyone know what the participating trade-in retailers are?

  • mark boyle

T-Mobile text me saying my delivery date is 10/2 I wonder if that’s a typo.

That would be awesome if they shipped them out early. The wait is killing me!!!

    • Julie Phan

It was addressed in this article TMo sent out the wrong estimated delivery dates and shipments would begin 10/17. I hope that they do ship it out a few days early as they’ve done in the past. I paid for overnight to my office and it has an estimated delivery date of 10/18 (a Saturday), so not thrilled about having to wait til Monday for my phone when I could’ve walked in the store day 1 of launch.

  • james

Ordered my white model on the 27th, with over night shipping, would be nice to get this phone early.

  • lani

Anyone here examine in detail the terms of the Samsung guaranteed $200 trade-in of any working smartphone promo for those who pre-order the Note4 from selected carriers?

Any catches or cons to it that will make you say skip it? Sounds too good to be true…

    • ND

It is like if you trade in your working smartphone with minimum $10 value samsung will provide the difference from $200. So in short you’ll get $190 check from Samsung.

    • Scott

-trade in at any of the major providers…Pink, Blue, Red, or Yellow :)
-trade in must be valued for at least $10
-note must be pre ordered before 10/16
-receipt for note 4 and trade in phone must be submitted before 11/30
No catch and it does sound too good to be true depending on what you are trading in. The only down side is you might get the phone a few days later than walking in on release day.

  • linda

Don’t trade your phone in, sell it on eBay

    • Scott

why? I traded in my mytouch 4g for $15 and will be receiving a check for $185 from samsung. If I sold it on ebay I would only get about $40

      • linda

Makes sense just don’t trade in a good smartphone.

  • lani

Anyone at Tmobile know if they are doing trade-ins in the store if you pre order online? Do you mail-in the trade-in mobile? How does it work?

    • Scott

I pre ordered mine in the store, but they are still having me send in my trade in via ups when I receive my note 4. I think this is the case with any trade in on a pre order. At least that is the impression I got from customer care. You have til 11/30 for the rebate so you should have plenty of time for the reabate

  • bingman9517

Does this phone feature an always on microphone like iphone 6?

    • bingman9517

I have a severe physical disability that prevents me from being able to tap the screen or push buttons. I’m debating between this & iphone 6 since Siri is always listening.

      • Scott

When on the home screen you can turn on google now to recognize the term “okay google” at anytime. From there you can do pretty much anything…launch apps, make calls, launch websites, etc with your voice. Any android phone running 4.4 can do this. You can also install google launcher and achieve this on 4.1 or above I think. The only problem you might have is unlocking the device or getting back to the homescreen. There is also an accessibility section on Samsung touchwiz that, “improves accessibility for users who have impaired vision, hearing or reduced dexterity” This is at what it says on my galaxy s3 at least, so I imagine the note 4 touchwiz will have something similar.

      • Monepone

I think Siri listening is only on when the iPhone is actually charging. As for the Note 4, someone who has one on /r/Android posted that you can turn on “Ok Google” always on listening even with the screen off and unplugged, similar to the Moto X. Though, I’m sure enabling that would reduce the battery life somewhat. But the Note 4 has that option.

  • james

I did the #875# on my phone and I get a eta date of the 18th of OCT.for delivery date.

    • Scott

      Doesn’t work for me…says service unavailable :(

      • james

Turn WiFi off, you’ve have to do it on tmobiles network. Plus it took 24 hours before mine showed up.

        • Scott

Yeah I am not on Wifi…It actually says system unavailable

        • james

How long has it been when you placed your order, are you using the same phone that your pre-order is for.
It will not work if your sending #875# on another phone.

        • Scott

I ordered the first night in store. I am using the same phone associated with the new phone. I did trade in my old phone prior to the one I use now, but I can’t see that making a difference. Oh well. I will probably get mine around the 20th. I see that you ordered yours with overnight shipping and are getting it the day after release, so it looks like they are shipping on the 17th. I wasn’t given a shipping option from the guy in the store, so I got ground shipping…now I can’t switch shipping :(

        • JB45

Mine also says system unavailable when I do #875#. I am using the same phone I ordered it with. Same line, same everything. My only explanation could be is because my phone is rooted. I pre-order mine through customer service on 09/25/2014 at about 730am. It will also depend on where you are for ground shipping too. They usually ship from KY and for me living in Cincinnati, to pay that much for overnight is almost pointless.

        • hue

yea doesn’t work for me either and i have a tmobile s5 on the network as well,

    • Ryan

Worked for me. Got an estimated delivery date of 10/23/14.

      • james

When did you place your order?

        • Ryan

I placed my order on Sept. 28.

      • JDMartinez

Did you get the note 4 already?

        • Ryan

Hi JD, no, not scheduled for delivery until 10/23.

    • Dnyc

I got 9/30/14 ?? can that be Correct

      • james

No, tmobiles doesn’t even have the phone yet, I don’t think.
I wish you could screen shoot that message.

      • james

        Did u get your phone?

        • ND

Mine was also showing yesterday the samething 09/30 by doing #875# did not get it though :) lol

        • james

          Thats crazy!

  • SirMakoto

So I just pre ordered in store today along with submitting a trade in of my iPhone 3gs 32gb which is worth $13, so now I need to wait until 10/10/14 and submit my pre order and trade in receipt to Samsung? Also, how strict is the people who’s gonna evaluate the trade in? My iPhone has a little crack by the 30 pin charging area, so I’m a bit concerned that my trade might get rejected or of lesser value, by that time-wouldn’t I be screwed for not getting the check from Samsung?

    • Scott

Did they take your phone at the store or do you have to mail it in? I doubt they really care the condition of the phone. I’m sure anything under fifty dollars is just simply recycled. They just want to get the phone out of circulation.

      • SirMakoto

no they didn’t take my phone. if they have the phone in stock, then they could accept the trade in, otherwise t-mo will mail the prepaid label and box to me to send in my trade, was told that the prepaid label and box will be shipped together with the note 4.

        • blah29

I submitted my phone for trade in after preordering the note 4. My phone was estimated at $22. It was actually a phone which was on sale @ bestbuy last week for $40.00, and was brand new. I shipped it to them the same day. I guess I just print out the same $22 quote for the phone to Samsung. Not sure if you ever get a true “receipt” back. But I do have the quote that gets printed on the same page as the USPS shipping label.

        • SirMakoto

which version of the note 4 did you pre order? don’t think tmobile versions are sold anywhere else other than tmobile nowadays.

  • iamthat_dude

Does anyone know if its too late to pre order from T-Mobile and still get the note on the 17th or 18th?

    • ND

Just try #875# if you are lucky it will show correct date!

      • iamthat_dude

        Yeah I guess

  • PeterN

I pre-ordered note 4 on 9/24, they texted me estimate delivery date: Oct
2nd. Today is Oct 1st, i missed the delivery from UPS from Tmobile bc i
wasn’t home. I’m not sure if it’s Note 4. I’ll see what’s going on tomorrow when they deliver again. Cross the fingers. :)

    • james

      What does the package weight?

      • PeterN

false alarm, i checked my email, they shipped ip6+ which i already cancelled before, for some reason, they still shipped it out. I thought it was galaxy note 4. :( i was happy for nothing ….

        • james

Darn, i was wishing you were getting it.

  • Jesus Razo

I have the delivery date for Oct. 2nd too. Just confirmed via customer service. Delivery date is correct.

    • PeterN

really? i wonder if they messed up my order# … in fact they r delivering note 4 … :/ , btw, what state are you in Razo ??

      • Jesus Razo

        California

        • Scott

          Did you get your phone?

        • james

Did anyone get there phone yet?

        • Jesus Razo

I still have not received it, they say maybe Monday

        • Scott

          any news?

        • james

I called t-mobile 611 last night, he told me not to pay attention to the order history on are accounts, about pending or backorderd. He said they already have them in, and they would start shipping sometime early next week, and , he said for me on my order, that i should have my phone either a few days before or on the 17th Friday. Idk how true this is, but he was very detailed about this situation.

        • Scott

That would be so awesome. I now remember why I never pre-order anything. The wait is killing me!

        • james

True true, the good thing about pre ordering a phone is that you could get it early. I pre ordered the LG g3 from t-mobile on July the 8th my phone was delivered on the 9th of July, the following day. I got my phone 7 days before the full release of the LG g3.I think I was the first person of all of Texas to get the LG g3 before release date, if there was someone before me, They never posted about it. So it can happen you could get your phone before release day.

        • Scott

I totally agree. There are no real negatives to pre-ordering. I just hate waiting for my new toys. This is almost as bad as the wait for my Pentax K5II DSLR. It was during Hurricane Sandy and it was shipping from New York. There was reports that Adorama’s warehouse might have delays due to flooding. I was actually checking the address of the warehouse on google maps to see how close it was to the water HAHA! The $200 rebate from Samsung for this pre-order made this one a no brainer.

        • Scott

Customer care told me today that they would still be shipping out on the 17th :(

    • james

Let us know if you get your phone.

  • Chad

I ordered mine on the second day of pre order, and received a Oct. 23 delivery date. I selected UPS ground. So I thought it may be better to just cancel and pick it up at the store on the 17th. But then I thought it may be better to keep the pre order just in case if it shipped early. So I called a friend that works at the local T mo store here and asked his opinion. He said that he thought T Mo would ship it early so most would have it the day of release. He said that this he had seen this before, but you never know. So I checked around and alot of people said they had received there S5 the day of the release and the ones that had paid for express had received it a day early. So I called T Mo just to see if there was an update to shipping. The rep told me that he had not heard anything new and his supervisor said that there was nothing posted in the system yet. He confirmed my Oct. 23rd date but said to stay on the look out just in case. I hate the wait!

  • jay

my card has been charged hopefully that’s a good sign…

    • Tam

My card was charged today too!

      • Kevin

my card was charged today also! they told me that it was waiting for drop shipment for UPS to pick up the orders and will be shipping tonight or tomorrow (friday)!

        • Tam

Yayyy!! I’m so excited! Thanx for the update Kevin. Now, I’ll just sit back & wait for my Email from UPS

  • lawrence edwards

My card was charged and I spoke to a tmobile rep and they said, the phone will be shipped today or tomorrow.

    • james

When did you order your phone?

      • Tam

My card was charged today. I ordered on the 24th

      • lawrence edwards

I pre- ordered my phone around 7 am MST. On September 24th.

        • james

          I gotcha!

      • JB

I ordered mine on the 3rd of this month. My card was charged last night as well… So hopefully it’s a good sign for me, since I pre-ordered so late! :-)

        • james

I preordered on the 27th, so far, nada!

        • james

My card just got charged this morning too.whoop!

    • Scott

My card was charged today as well and I just got off the phone with customer care and they said my phone should be on the next truck out of the warehouse!

      • kevin

this is interesting how people are getting different answers, someone above just said they are not shipping until the 17th

        • Scott

I called wednesday and was told the 17th too. I think it depends on who you talk to, but the fact that so many cards are are being charged is a sign that it is coming early.

        • Kevin

Yea i just got off the phone with a guy and he had no idea what he was talking about. He said it takes like 24-48hrs after the card is processed to ship..i’m done with pre-ordering this is a headache man.

        • Scott

I hear you, but even if you have to wait 24-48hrs you will still most likely get it before launch. I hate waiting to, but getting it early maybe is a nice treat on top of the $185 check I should be getting from Samsung for preordering. I think I have watched every video and read every article about the Note 4. The wait has been killing me.

  • Sully Garcia

My card was charged yesterday too and I pre-ordered on the 29th. The rep I ordered with said the phone would ship the day my card got charged. My order status on the T-Mobile site still says processing. I just spoke to a rep who could barely speak English who said they don’t know when the phone is shipping. She sounded like she didn’t know what she was talking about.

    • james

      I believe it.

      • Sully Garcia

I called again and spoke to someone from the US. She said the phone will be shipping on the 17th. I actually pre-ordered Sept 24th. Was hoping, I’d get the phone by the 17th or sooner. Isn’t that the purpose of pre-ordering? Bummer!

        • kevin

what a bunch of bs. I’m extremely pissed at t-mobile now they purposely told me a bunch of lies

  • Kevin

i am going to be extremely mad if it does not ship until next week….because i told them i would be out of town and they said it would be here on launch date. has anyone got the tracking number yet?

    • barb

      they sipping it out today.

  • Mike Sage

I pre ordered mine yesterday and my card was charged instantly, haven’t gotten any further communication from tmo yet and my account page shows order is processing. I was rather excited that my card was charged so quickly, hoping they are indeed prepping for imminent shipping! I’ve had the Note 2 and 3 and really looking forward to 4. Just as with the other two Notes, i’ve saturated myself with every possible article and video i can find haha, sometimes i hate my kid-like excitement, so painful to wait.

    • Scott

I have read on some other forums that people near shipping locations have already received tracking numbers and might receive their phones today. I also find it ironic that October 10th is the day that the $200 rebate starts and today they are shipping phones. Maybe Samsung knew all along that the 10th was the date.

      • Mike Sage

wow you’re right, pretty interesting! Where are the shipping locations?

        • Scott

The two I’ve mainly seen on forums are Lexington Kentucky and Austin Texas. I’m hoping mine comes from KY. Its only 2 days via ground shipping. Hope to get it Monday or Tuesday if it ships out today or tomorrow.

        • Sully Garcia

Damn, they need to ship to NYC ASAP. My Galaxy is on the brink of death with a cracked screen and shutting itself off every hr. It’s like it knows it’s being chucked to the trash.

        • Scott

Its only 2 days via ups ground shipping from KY to NY :)
          http://www.ups.com/maps/results?loc=en_US&zip=40507

        • JB

Though will UPS ship out stuff on Saturdays? I never see movement of my packages on Saturday unless it was FedEx. It always does, but I’m hoping mine ships from KY as well, as delivery is usually the same amount of time for me tag it is for you. Granted Austin is only a couple hours further from my address than Lexington, I just much prefer the tried and true method. Lol

    • kevin

I am right there with you man I got ants in my pants!

  • Kris

Just received a shipping confirmation email, with tracking number, no delivery date listed yet.

    • DE

      Sweet! A glimmer of hope

      • Kiki

Just noticed the below info from the email, guess I can stop refreshing on the UPS site

“For your most current order information, including up to date tracking of your order, check your Order Status on My.T-Mobile.com. For all Pre-Orders your tracking number will not be visible on UPS.com prior to the product launch date.”

    • Sully Garcia

      When did you pre-order?

      • Kris

My order was later, October 2, not loving my Galaxy 5 and decided to use Jump. Im vey close to Lexington shipping center, maybe that helps

        • barb

I did the same thing , I order Oct 2 , 2014. t-mobile sent me an email and confirmed my information. the rep told me that they just got the note 4 today and the iPhone 6 is in as well and be on the look out with in 2 days for the shipping information in the email.

    • kevin

lucky!! i pre ordered on the 24th but i have not received any email yet..but they told me it would be here on or before the 17th…still waiting my old cc expired so they had to change it might of caused a delay D:

    • Kiki

Noticed the following information in the email I received

“For all Pre-Orders your tracking number will not be visible on UPS prior to the product launch date.”

  • DE

Just received an email stating that my order has shipped w/tracking number. I phone ordered mid morning on the 24 (Pacific).
    No delivery date listed though.

    • Sully Garcia

Just got my tracking number texted to me via T-Mobile. But when I track it via UPS nothing comes up and it still shows as processing in my T-Mobile account. Pre-Ordered 9/24 and my card was charged yesterday / still pending.

      • Houston

i’m in NY too and still didn’t get a text with tracking yet smh

      • Sully Garcia

Well I already know if it ships out today, it won’t have any movement tomorrow because it’s Saturday and UPS is never open on Sat. I would most likely get it in 3 business days so I anticipate receiving it on the 16th or 17th.

        • kevin

Would be nice if I got mine on the 16th a day early on my birthday haha

        • Scott

Well I am hoping for the 15th since that’s my birthday

      • Kevin

Mine better come soon I ordered mine on the 24th!

      • Kris

From my email-For all Pre-Orders your tracking number will not be visible on UPS prior to the product launch date.

      • barb

give it 2 days. they Ship out today.

      • jordan

I paid for ground. They must have upgraded to next day, because it went from Kentucky to New Orleans already and will be delivered Monday the 13th.

        • Sully Garcia

Mine will arrive tomorrow. I paid regular shipping too. They must have upgraded.

  • Mike Sage

woohoo got my shipping confirmation and tracking number but as with everyone else, tracking info is not available yet. I chose next day shipping, but is that actually next day or next business day? hopefully ill get it Monday or Tuesday if not tomorrow

    • kevin

      Nothing here yet… Smh

      • kevin

Maybe because I live right near a hub?

    • Mike Sage

Email from tmobile states delivery date as 10/13. Sweeeet. Too bad UPS never gets to my house till about 7pm. Oh well, can’t complain too much!

      • kevin

Nice I never got anything… Today as far as shipping

      • JB

Got my text with tracking number, but no email… The UPS app has me down for Monday, but it appears the package is just “ready for pickup” so realistically, I don’t expect mine until Tuesday or Wednesday! Good thing about delivery in my area, it’s that they have started delivering packages between 11a and 3p… whereas before, they didn’t come until 7-8pm! Yay :-)

      • JB

Just got my email from T-Mobile. They have me down for Monday!! The great part is I’m down for next day air… When I pre-ordered, I paid for 5 day ground!

        • Mike Sage

whoa!! so lucky man, I wonder why they did that?? I paid for next day, wonder if I would’ve got a free upgrade. Was yours a jump trade?

        • JB

Mine did happen to be a Jump trade, so maybe that has something to do with it. I know when I jumped to my S5 earlier this year, ground shipping was just that. Ground shipping and it took 3 days. Maybe after the iPhone 6 fiasco, they didn’t want to take chances.

        • Mike Sage

I was jump also, guess I should’ve chosen ground *smh

  • lawrence edwards

I got my tracking number and it says I will receive my note 4 monday 10/13 by the end of work day. Yesssiirrr!!!!!! That makes me extremely happy. I paid for ground shipping also which is 5-7days and I got a upgrade to overnight shipping. I did a jump too! Thank you T-Mobile!!!

    • kevin

t mobile upgraded orders for the iphone 6 to overnight also. my gf ordered one and got it super quick. so that is good news

  • james

I just did ups tracking and, not with a tracking number but, with the reference number instead, and there it is, label created with delivery date of 10/13 which is Monday, but I haven’t received anything from T-Mobile, like a text or email regarding my order. Its still showing backordered on my tmobile site. How strange.

  • Mian Talal Saeed

From what I’ve read on various pages in the comments sections, tmobile is shipping out all the note 4’s thru ups next day air saver, even if u chose ups ground shipping. My tmo order status page still says it’s being processed. But if you go on the my ups page, the shipping label has already been created on 10/10. So hopefully they ship it out tomorrow and I get it by Monday afternoon

    • kevin

Nice I called and they told Me I am on backorder and I ordered on the 24th. I told them I was pissed

  • james

Well I finally just got my email from T-Mobile, saying, your order has been shipped and, will be delivered on Monday 10/13, I just went and login my account and, now it shows my order has shipped. Looks like this will be a long weekend for me.

  • kevin

Just got my tracking number and they upgraded me to next day air. Says delivery date of monday. Keeping fingers crossed

    • Scott

Same here! I had to dig into the details on my UPS My Choice account, but it looks its next day and with a delivery date of Monday!

      • kevin

        Nice!!

        • Scott

Its nice to know there are other people as excited about this as I am. My wife continues to roll her eyes every time I mention anything about the phone. I might even drive up to bestbuy today to play with a display model to tide me over.

        • Kevin

Dude I feel you I have a nexus right now and I used to have the note 3 idk why I changed I can’t wait to get rid of this pos

        • Scott

I’m coming from an S3. Usually I am fed up with my phone by the time I am ready for an upgrade, but I have to say that the S3 is still running strong. Just one of the reason I decided to stick with Samsung

        • Mike Sage

Mine has already left the ups facility in Kentucky at 4:30am , and is in route to me.

    • Kevin

      When is your delivery date?

      • james

10/13 Monday by 3pm, I wish I could upload a screen shot of my ups tracking page to show you.

        • Kevin

That’s what mine says also. They upgraded all ground to overnight I think everyone is getting it Monday who are ordered pretty early

        • james

Yes, I think your right! God I cannot wait.

        • kevin

same here…tmobile gave me the run-a-round telling me my order was on backorder and all this garbage turns out the shipping label was made yesterday but it is not in transit yet. UPS runs on sunday’s i used to work for the hub so i’m sure mine will ship then

        • Mike Sage

unfortunately, for residential deliveries the 3pm promise is replaced with “end of day” :/

    • Mike Sage

same here, went from Kentucky to Phoenix (about 1.5hrs from me) most recent activity actually shows that it left Phoenix at 6 this morning, so it wldve gotten to my local ups about an hour and a half ago, wonder if that would’ve been early enough to make it on a delivery truck today…

      • kevin

Kentucky is a major ups hub because they fly out of the airport there. Takes 2 days for ground to get to me in Dallas so I am thinking mine will ship Sunday night and arrive to go on the truck mondayk

UPS doesn’t deliver on Saturday unfortunately

        • james

My WiFi router I got from T-Mobile was delivered in Saturday.

  • Mike Sage

Man I wonder if I should call up and ask for a refund for the difference between ground shipping and next day air, considering everyone who ordered ground got free upgrade to next day… I have a feeling they’ll tell me to screw off. nicely, of course.

    • Scott

Its worth a shot. I paid for ground and got next day air, but I would be pissed if I were you.

  • Joshua Frankie

Mine shows shipping of 10-13-2014 by 3pm or end of business day!!!

    • Joshua Frankie

I wonder if they are shipping out early due to apples event on the 16th? Can’t wait to get mine.

      • Scott

Some people have said its because of apple and others because of the new nexus device. I personally believe the 10th is what they had intended from the start. The $200 rebate began on the 10th. The UK release was on the 10th. They probably just told all the providers the 17th just in case they couldn’t make their production quota

        • Joshua Frankie

Either way it will give T-Mobile and the note 4 a lot of press when people start getting them on Monday

  • kevin

    Mine is being delivered tomorrow!
