PSA: T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 Pre-Orders Begin Today For $199 Down

As announced this past Monday, T-Mobile is ready to rock and roll with the Galaxy Note 3 as pre-orders begin this morning. At the time of this writing, there’s no direct word on www.t-mobile.com about the pre-order and the Galaxy Note 3 page still shows “coming soon,” but a few folks have picked up the Note 3 through MyT-Mobile. Pre-order shipments are still expected to “start shipping on or before October 2nd.” The Galaxy Note 3 will retail for $199 down with 24 monthly payments of $21 and the companion Galaxy Gear smartwatch will hit store shelves on October 2nd for $299.

The Galaxy Note 3 will be available to pre-order on September 18 for $199.99 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $21[1] (plus taxes and fees) with T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan. Pre-ordered smartphones are expected to start shipping on or before October 2. The Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear companion smartwatch (sold separately) will launch nationwide at participating T-Mobile retail stores, select dealers, national retail stores and online at www.T-Mobile.com on October 2.       You should be good. Think it’s only saying backorder because they don’t actually have them in stock to ship right now. My status said that at first and now it changed to “Order Placed: Your order is currently Order Placed. You will receive an email when your order has been shipped.”

        Still looking for a bumper instead of a full case that doesn’t have any gaps in protection. Got screen protectors ordered though.

    When I upgraded one of my family plan lines to this device, I got discounts on my data plan and voice plan. I was on $20 data plan, now, it goes down $5 with $15 discount. Do you guys get the same thing? With this, it might be better deal than costco or wirefly.

      You were on a Classic Plan. They did a Bridge To Value for you, which reduces your rate plan by $5 and any data features by $15. You have the 2GB data feature which was $20 before and is now $5 on BTV.

      Depending on what plan you have, where you are in your contract and/or how long your tenure with T-Mobile is, this is something you’re eligible for.

    Just talked to a buddy wife who is a manager at tmobile and she said that they got 24, N3 in and Samsung may allow stores to start to sell them on the 26th. Maybe that’s why we got the delivery date of the 26th

    Thanks to everybody who showed the way to upgrade online. using the email that went out today, stopping by my local store and calling both customer service and new sales was a waste of time. I ordered through t the website (it was hidden under new arrivals) and I paid for the overnight shipping of $24.95. Then I got a text that said estimated delivery date was 9/19. I will be pleasantly surprised if my phone actually shows up on Friday….

      Because 90-95 of consumers are more than satisfied with 32gb of internal, especially with option of adding memory card.

        Yes but do you download apps? No apps can be downloaded to an sd card we need the freedom to buy the 32gb and 64 gb they make stronger faster phones and better apps than angry birds and candy crush, like you probably play I guess. The others who download bigher apps like I do need higher memory!

          You are a very unique individual. No one i know has came close to downloading 32gb worth of apps. I not saying that you are wrong, just saying that 32 of internal is more than enough for the majority. I would say that 9 out of 10 customers would choose 32gb version vs paying premium price for 64gb version. Thats why it does not good business sense for retailers to stock them.

          If you’re downloading 32GBs in apps thats crazy!! Lol. Plus Samsung now allows you to move apps to the external SD card. I’d rather invest the money in a micro SD card any day since I can take it out when I get rid of the phone every 6 months to a year

          How can you download apps to sd? I have a note 2 theres no way. Also remember its not 32gb with samsung they use a different scale 32 gb samsung is 18gb normal. Ref the galaxy 4 for how I did the math..

          Idk how u guys do it I like to play many games on my phones I have gta 3 and vice city max payne batman and fifa soccer each one of those is over 1gb of storage plus I like to use my emulators which can be out in sd yes but it’s nice having extra space

          It’s a feature that started with the S4. Should most definitely be on the Note 3 but not the Note 2

      I can source a 64GB Class 10 MicroSD card for cheaper than the price difference between the 32GB and 64GB Note3s. No point in paying the extra cost and I can move all my files easily to the next phone along with my SIM card.

      If you can’t be bothered with exclusively using a MicroSD for file storage, the International version will probably be available with 64GB, but it may not have LTE. You can also wait for a ROM to come out that removes most of the bloatware to free up a bunch of storage space. Keep in mind that there will be more ROM support with the Snapdragon processor than the Exynos so choose wisely. You may even luck out and there will be a GPE, but I doubt it.

    i placed my order around noon today. When i logged into the website, it told me the phone was on backorder, but it let me place my order anyway. I got a confirmation email and a text to my phone with an expected delivery date of 9/24. I’m hoping there aren’t any delays. I’m mad at myself because i had no idea that TMO was set to open up pre-orders today. The only way i knew was i pre-registered to receive updates on the Note 3 and received an email telling me the phone could be pre-ordered. I don’t know how i missed this. Apparently David posted about it 2 days ago.

    My pre order also says delivery is scheduled for 9/19. I’ve received no email updates so looking like it will not arrive tomorrow. I’ve heard multiple tmobile stores already have them in stock. It sounds like they are just waiting for the ok from Samsung to sell them… Lets hope Samsung is good to us and allows early shipments.

  • Spoke to a buddy in corporate and he says that it might launch on the 26th, so fingers crossed it will. That’s just a week away, and is a possibility because of the global launch on 9/25. If you got a date of 9/26, you could possibly get it by that date or at least a little after. But I don’t know if TMo will pull the trigger early. My date says 9/26.

      Backorder e-mail came in at 7:46 ET this morning.

      As I mention somewhere below, the order page showed as Backordered when I completed the order. The subsequent text message and e-mail both stated an estimated delivery date at the 26th much like everyone else.

      I wonder if previous preorders ran into the same thing.

    A local store manager said they are getting it on October 3rd and before the preorders are delivered. He said they are not coming on the 26th. He offered to call me and sell me one in store and cancel the online preorder I did. Does this make sense?

      Considering other stores are selling it October 1st-2nd or earlier because they already have them, i doubt thats true.. Plus I got overnight so I should have it the same day it releases at 8am, or a day or two earlier.

      I called up the store and the rep confirmed 27th as the release date for ATT Note 3. She wasnt sure of VZW coz her system didnt have any info. I will visit another store with Samsung Experience store in it and see if I can get more info. I hope TMo will follow suit if this is true for ATT. I JUST CANT WAIT ANYMORE

          This is messed up. The Samsung Experience Store employee was surprised that Best Buy listed that date and he had no idea. He just kept saying he is not allowed to give me an exact date but to tell me, there is no delay. For people who care about TMo, a diff store rep also stuck with the Oct 3rd date like the store manager I mentioned in one of my prev posts. I am giving up right about now….going into hibernation. someone wake me up when the UPS guy is out my front door.

    Just got off with tmo and u know u can trick them asked why backorder man sd it isn’t shld update Monday or Tuesday that it is shipping out of the 23rd. said one day after official release. So as we confirmed seems like 26th is the date…. Someone call and see if they get same info

        yea suppose they start shipping out late this week, if you chose standard shipping like i did, it will take around 3 maybe 4 days to ship to the house by then it would have been avaible in stores already, and you would have saved on shipping charges.

      I tried posting a picture here but it got deleted. This is what the checkout page on the t-mobile website for a brand new line (not upgrade or adding a line to an existing account), said,

          That’s not good. I really hope it doesn’t ship on the first because it could be as long as a week later for those of us with ground shipping. Looking more and more like I’m going to cancel my preorder and just drop by the store on my way to work when it’s released; I’m going to have to go to the store anyways for a microSIM unless they’re smart enough to send one to those upgrading an existing line.

          Currently have a S4 that I picked up used as a temporary phone. My last phone was having major issues and I couldn’t put up with it for three months. Nothing wrong with the S4, just wanted the Note3.

          Got my terminology mixed up for some reason; I blame work and the preorder not shipping. I think you’re right and I should be good to go. For some reason I thought the N3 was a NanoSIM and I referenced MicroSIM incorrectly in my previous post.

    Doesn’t it drive you crazy knowing our exact Note 3’s are most definitely built and sitting in their box somewhere just waiting for us to lay our hands on them? All they need is the go ahead from someone sitting in a tall leather office chair. This is the longest 2 weeks in my recent memory.

    Just as the others, I will likely cancel my pre-order and wait for the store to open on the 2nd. That’s what I have ended up doing with my last 5 devices anyway.

      What’s driving me batty is the inconsistent information from customer service on whether the preorders will arrive on or before their official release. Looking at some of the iPhone threads on T-Mobile’s forums doesn’t inspire much confidence.

    Okay… I just called customer care and actually got a fellow gadget geek with his own Note 3 on pre-order on the other end. He read me a bulletin that was posted to their “T-Community” internal system that was posted there at 11:41am yesterday (9/23/13).

    The memo said that the official in-store AND online (pre-order) release date is 10/2/13. He read it aloud that pre-orders will be expected to ship from the distribution center the evening of 10/2. When I asked what the point in this case of the pre-order was, he suggested that there is a large following for the Note family and believes they only set a pre-order in motion in order to guarantee receipt of a device.

    He said they have ordered approximately 300% of sales (not sure if that means initial projected sales??) so inventory should not be an issue depending on the store.

    I mentioned that I will most likely be canceling my pre-order and going to the store. He said he would be doing the same with his order if he didn’t have to work that day. He did mention that the store can see if the order has shipped on 10/2 and can cancel our pending order the day of release as long as it hasn’t gone out yet. He said all orders go out around 7:00pm Eastern.

    It was nice to get someone that actually knew something about our situation.

    I know it’s not the information we are all looking for, but hopefully it’s solid intel.

      Thanks so much for that info I will be going to the store as well and getting the note 3 and cancelling the pre order. Do you think its smart to cancel in store or the night before? I’m only asking BC of all this inconsistent info that we are all getting.

        I’m conflicted about this, but thinking the same thing. I think as long as I’m there waiting at opening I shouldn’t have an issue getting one.

        The problem he and I discussed is if you cancel early, you aren’t “guaranteed” to get one if that particular store is out. You then run the risk of trying to hopefully hunt one down.

        It would be horrible to get to the store and have them tell me that the order is being processed or in some other status that wouldn’t allow them to cancel. So close, yet so far away. Ha!

          I agree , when I spoke with T-Mobile on twitter yesterday and the guy told me “we expect this to do well in store and we only receive a certain amount of inventory”. That is why I’m skeptical.

          If i was you i would cancel my pre order 2 days before the 2nd if it has not shipped out yet, and just get it thru the t-mobile store. you have a better chance of getting it there first without having to pay extra $ on shipping.

          Not sure, I spoke to a rep about it; but basically if you upgrade your phone you also receive a discount on your monthly bill. Obviously YMMV but the discounts I received were very steep.

          Try upgrading to a phone on your account just before you enter your CC information and see what kind of discount you receive. Again YMMV.

    Just called T-mobile to cancel my pre-order. Turns out you cannot cancel the pre-order ladies and gents. I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from, but the representative I spoke to stated that online pre-orders cannot be cancelled.

Reading about how AT&T might have theirs this Friday, but that is probably a deal struck through Best Buy since they are a partner there and TMO isn’t. I’m waiting to show up on the 2nd, and get it then. Preorders always scare me, and I tried to upgrade and saw a backorder status, but open a new line and it ships the 1st? Huh?

    Online chat said I should have my Note 3 before the stores sell them but just incase I don’t “here’s what you can do, if the order (if ever) the order was not delivered on the time that it was available on the store, you can just go ahead and pick up the phone on the store, and then when the order was shipped to you, you can just decline or cancel the order right away.”

    T-Mobile told me they are shipping on the 1st so I will have it probably by the 4th or 5th my local store will have em probably on the 3th and that’s going to be hit or miss ,last year the note 2 they had 2 in stock and after that nothing for over a week,preorder is good cause it’s guaranty to get it at your house ,it may be few days after or before release

    I talked to 2 tmobile representatives and I was unable to cancel my preorder, they said once preorder is placed you cannot cancel, and they did confirm that the phone will ship out on the 10/2, who else can i contact to cancel preorder??

    Well, I went ahead and cancelled my order today. I accidentally selected ground shipping so even if they ship out early, I’d more than likely receive it after the release date. I will be at my local store that confirmed release on 10/2 when they open.

    I did ask the rep that cancelled my order what you that are having trouble should say if you decide to cancel. She said that their old policy was that no orders can be cancelled, but in the last month or two the policy was updated. They changed the policy so that devices in a back-order status can be cancelled.

    All you have to do is remind them that a back-ordered device can be cancelled and they can push it through. I had no issues at all accomplishing this.

    I spoke to more than 3 different representatives. They tell me what they can “request” cancellation but they cannot guarantee that it will be cancelled, and you may still receive the phone. At that point of course you would just send it back, but it sounds like a pain in the ass!

    They are probably thinking you can’t cancel the order because the note 3’s are sitting right there and aren’t actually back ordered… :). Even though our orders says they are. If they do send them early I doubt they will tell us because it’s an under promise and over deliver kind of thing. If they say there is even a chance if early delivery I doubt they will come out until it’s 100% guaranteed to happen because they would risk over promising and under delivering and we would be blowing up their call center.

    I had to go through 10 different departments before I got to the correct one for my order to get canceled. Took my 30 minutes but it happened and got a confirmation number stating it’s been canceled. So Yes ladies and gentleman you can cancel your order if you wish too.

    For anyone who cancelled their order….call care or go into a store to have your eip checked. If youre available credit line is clear, you should be good to go. If not, youll either have to wait until the preorder falls off in the system or just wait until the device arrives at your home.

        Would’ve been nice if they were more transparent from the beginning about when the devices would ship (like at the final checkout page say, “orders will begin shipping on yadda yadda yadda”)….The G2 shipped immediately for pre-orders….I’m sure there’s a good reason for the delay….European model launched yesterday…Maybe US carriers couldn’t jump the gun on shipping US version….And then there’s Apple….Maybe carriers are giving the new Iphones the lime light for as long as possible.

    Done. Cancelled. And it is much simpler than some of you think. When you dial 611 and talk to a rep, they will try to transfer your call to Sales the moment you mention these keywords like Note 3, Pre-order, delivery and so on. The sales department will not cancel your order. They will argue for sure. It is the customer service dept that can and will do. So if they try to transfer you, tell them you don’t want to be transferred and ask the rep to hear you out and they’ll know they can help you. (But please dont be rude though. I come from the Cust svc world and its not nice and definitely not the way to get things done…:) Be nice and you can get through to them)
    I didn’t have to even convince the rep about cancelling, He did it easily and gave me a confirmation number. He said my card wont be charged and have nothing else to worry about(of course I’ll keep my eyes open and check with the store about the EIP and everything just to be sure).
    I cancelled because I had put my name down on the list with the store even before the pre-orders started. My name is apparently 2nd on the list and the store manager guaranteed availability. Now wait for next Thursday…… tick tock

      What time did you order on the 18th and what type of shipping did you select. In the XDA thread, someone mentioned they got charged today as well; he/she ordered at 8:55am and selected overnight. His status still says “Order Placed” and the estimated delivery still the 24th.

      Perhaps they’re going to start shipping today. I’ll be giving my F5 key a workout.

      Per one T-Mobile CS, as reported on XDA, it will be region locked to the US. Granted, this thread has proven without a doubt that information is inconsistent and inaccurate at times with their CS; this is generally how it is with most companies anyways I’ve dealt with.

      That being said, I expect the mod community to come up with some kind of solution to help defeat these shenanigans.

    Oh and another things. Apparently you will not be charged until the package is actually DELIVERED to your home. This again, is from a rep over at t-mobile. That being said, unless we get a text/e-mail or mytmobile notification we won’t technically know when the package is shipped by watching our charges. Yup, another twist in the story!

          T-Mobile only charges if the phone is marked as shipped, per their policy. It’s not illegal to charge your CC before it is shipped but it is bad business.

    Ok my Debit Card was charged today, although it’s a Pending Charge but the money has been deducted. And there was absolutely no charge from T-Mobile until today and I ordered on 18th at 5:30am CST. And as far as I remember the same thing happened when I had ordered S4(S4 was also in backordered when I placed the order), there was absolutely no charge until a day before the S4 shipped out. So, what I’m trying to imply is it ‘MIGHT’ be shipping out in a day or 2 since they’ve charged the appropriate amount on our cards.

    Has anybody heard about the “Region Lock” issue? I just saw this in a flurry of articles on the internet today. Apparently, a Note 3 bought in the Americas will not accept a SIM card from Europe, and vice-versa, no matter what. There is a sticker on the box with this warning. Just Google “Note 3 region locked”. I was going to buy the Note 3, but this is making me think twice. I wonder if this will be the case with the T-Mobile version?

      samsung already made a statement about this, it will accept any sim card after it been activated in it own region, meaning if you buy the tmobile note 3 and use it with a tmobile sim afterwards you will be able to use it anywhere you want any country any sim, but if you buy new in tmobile and take it to a different region in order to use it you will have to take it to a samsung store and have them unlock it for free.

          Can’t comment for OP, but there’re one minor issue and one major issue I have with wireless charging. The minor issue is the speed of charging isn’t always as fast as the wired. It’s not as big of a deal if I need a quick charge as I can just plug it in. The big issue I have is it doesn’t tricklecharge, run the phone off of that charge, and leave the battery topped up; it just stops charging and discharges. By the time I’m ready to pick it up and head out, I’ve got about 80% left and will have to charge at some point in the day.

    best buy has switch att availability date from sept 27(today) to 0ct 4th, sprint shows the 4th too. does not even show a tmobile model. i hope that does not mean tmo is having issues also. shows verizon as in store now, but that is hard to believe since they are always last to get a device. any one went in a best buy and played with a vz model. and for joanna, no tracking yet

      It only says 10/2 because if it were available, it would ship 10/1 (Monday) and arrive 10/2. Mine says 9/19 and I ordered on 9/18 and thats because IF it were available it would be delivered 9/19. T-Mobile just don’t know how to handle pre-orders lol

  • most of the phone companies have the phones in warehouses but are under contracts not to release them till a certain date. They would if they could, but can’t. AT&T gets a few days earlier since they are AT&T. Apple does this with iPhone shipments. Ships them early, have them sit on UPS loading docks until they get the OK to release and then gets them out.       Does the card you use show pending transactions? I have a check card and a credit card through the same bank; on the check card, it shows pending transactions, but on the credit card it will not show. The credit card does show available credit and the difference is not the same as between what I owe and the credit line. I can explain the math if anyone needs.

    I just checked my order status and it is finally officially cancelled. The rep I spoke to yesterday said the previous rep requested my pre-order to be cancelled through the regular system which would have normally processed correctly, but since these orders are in back-order status, would have never been processed.

    She told me you have to tell the rep to follow a couple of steps due to the back-order status.

    1. Verify the order is still in the system
    2. Submit a “Remedy Ticket”

    Apparently the Remedy Ticket is the only way to correctly cancel a back-order.

    She had her own pre-order that she cancelled this way. She processed my cancellation through this Remedy Ticket yesterday. It took about 24 hours for the status to update, but it’s officially cancelled.

    Hopefully this helps you guys that have had trouble. I for one will be be at the store when they open on Wednesday!

        I received a text message saying my order was cancelled at my request. Then shortly after, I received an e-mail verifying the same. Now when I log in to My T-Mobile, it shows that the order is cancelled. Done and Done.

        I’m just heading to T-mobile near my home Wednesday morning. Out of the 3 times I tried to cancel, this “Remedy Ticket” was the only process that was successful.

      Check out both colors if you’re worried. One review I read said the white back was more plasticy and the black felt closer to leather.

      I have a white S4 right now (bought it used because last phone died and really want a N3) and the light bled through in low light on the menu and back touch buttons. I really didn’t like that and am hoping the black doesn’t have that problem.

    My card was charged Wednesday last week. I ordered on the 18th. Still showing back order. I just called and they told me again. Devices won’t ship until the 2nd. Doesn’t seem to make sense. Why preorder when I’m going to get my phone after a customer who walks into a retail store?

      Yep agreed… Tmobile seems very inconsistent with the ship dates one time they said orders would start shipping Friday and I read someone said a rep said they start tomorrow I think that these orders probably won’t ship till the 2nd when the phone officially launches

    Isn’t it funny how we are all freaking out over a day or two of inconsistent information when if we fast forward a year or two, we will be so ready to dump our “old piece of crap” Note 3 for the next latest greatest?

    By next week, we will all be able to cuddle up spooning our Note 3 then give it a delicate kiss goodnight and be happy to hear our new companion be the first to wake us the next morning.

    I was just on the phone with T-mobile and got a very understanding rep. He was apologizing constantly in regards to the other reps. He told me that in the system it shows that the Note 3 will be shipping out on 10/2, but as he knows whenever the card that was paid for is charged the device is getting shipped out. He was frustrated himself not knowing the correct information and said that he is going to talk with his supervisor to do something about it and make sure that all reps are giving out the same information. He refunded me my shipping because of all of this information that is inconsistent. Let’s see when the device actually ships out.

    Ok, so here is the lowdown. Believe it or not. I called T-mobile and was given the whole schpeel about how they won’t be shipping them until the Oct 2nd. I talked to a manager, then his manager. The preorders that aren’t back ordered, are going to be at your door step on Oct 2nd. The ones that are backordered they have no idea. (this is what really upset me). They said that they are waiting on Samsung to get them more devices. I asked about cancelling and was told that the stores will have even less inventory because preorders take priority over stores. So basically it is better NOT to cancel. Because the preorders take priority then the stores might not have very many. One good thing I learned from the conversation is that whenever it is backordered T-mobile automatically changes the shipping to overnight. And he did say that the date on my order status (10/7) would be the latest I would get it, but that I might get it sooner. I am at least glad that even if they don’t ship it on 10/2, that at least I have overnight shipping when it does ship.

      I’m sorry but that story (and I know its not yours) is BS. If we are supposed to believe this and the fact that pre-orders go before stores, not a single store would have any stock (and there are stores that have them in stock). Also it doesn’t make sense that back-orders get one day shipping as opposed to ground. The people who paid for the next day shipping are being royally screwed since they paid more.

    I just checked my EIP via tmobile.com and it doesn’t how the Note 3 yet.
    I’m not sure if tmo’s retail systems would show the same. I would
    only warn that if you attempted to cancel your pre-order or just hope to
    refuse the pre-order device once it reaches you (and buy the device in
    store on 10/2), don’t be surprised if your EIP is tied up. I have a
    feeling that the EIP may update once the device ships. If this does
    happen, you won’t be able to finance the device in store on launch day
    (unless you have multiple lines aka higher credit limit).

    AT&T doesn’t officially have the phone in stores until the 4th, even though they official release date is set for the 1st. There shipping the pre-orders first then to the stores so they can be available for walk in buys on the 4th. I Don’t know maybe T-Mobile may play it out like this? Maybe.

          I live steps away from Chicago’s main UPS hub near UIC and work near the biggest UPS Hub in the world, CACH. Usually appears as ‘Hodgkins’ when tracking.

          Packages arrive at CACH almost the next day from where its shipped (especially from somewhere as close as Kentucky) but takes another 3 days to travel less than 20 miles for some bizarre reason.

          Here’s the point — I’m not sure what suburb of Chicago you’re talking about, but if you’re anywhere near Hodgkins, and you really want your phone, you can get your phone much earlier if you arrange a pick up from the facility.

          Chicago, IL here, recently moved from San Francisco. Last time I ordered a phone when I was living there shipping was $6.99 standard ground and $24.99 overnight. Same deal here. I can’t imagine there’d only be a $5 difference between standard and overnight, however.

    I ordered on 18th at 5:04am CT, card was charged last Thursday. And today the charge disappeared and the money is back in my account, weird. Although I chose Standard Shipping and it looks like they are shipping out the Expedited Shipping orders first. All this while I thought orders would be shipped out on first come first serve basis irrespective of the shipping method you chose, if I’d known I too would’ve opted for the Expedited Shipping option.

        Exactly, shipping method shouldn’t be the deciding factor in whose orders ship out first. It should be first come first serve basis, period. I just read on XDA that somebody who ordered on 29th with Overnight Shipping will have their phone delivered today, extremely frustrating. T-Mobile just doesn’t know how to handle pre-orders, smh.

      I’ve been trying to cancel my order since friday so I can get one in store and I finally spoke to a supervisor stating that it cant be canceled. Four different reps told me it would get canceled and it was a lie. Unreal

          If you are make sure yo call loyalty department ( you might not get through, if they ask are you canceling your service tell them Yes and they will put you through) ask them to give you a higher EIP limit and explain to them what’s going on, after an hour see if it goes through online if it doesn’t call them back and they will do it right away, what city are you in?

          Hahaha. They gave me a higher limit too and said just place an order on Tmobiles website and select overnight/express shipping. They’ll then reimberse me the shipping and when I get the original one in(which is likely sometime next week) I’ll just have to return it back. So I placed an order online, selected Overnight, and whadda know, it somehow changed it back to ground shipping. Hahahaha. The Tmobile rep was like, ” wow, I have no idea what to do” God this sucks. FML

    I have a question for everyone. I’ve been calling around my local T-Mobile stores for the white note 3 I have one on hold in a store 30 minutes away, I just called one 15 minutes away and they have a ton of white ones for sale tomorrow. My question is… do I go to the store 30 minutes away that put the phone on hold for me or do I go to the store that is 15 minutes away and didn’t put the phone on hold?

      Go to the one 15 minutes away at 10. If you got your white one, cancel the other. If they don’t have it go to the one that had yours reserved.

    I’ve have never seen anything like this I order mine on the 18th and my credit card still shows a pending charge since the 26th and there has been no update on my phone. And every time I’ve either chatted or called a mobile rep the story has been different I was told this morning that if my order does not ship tonight that I can go into my local mobile store and purchase one tomorrow called the store and they said that they would have them and say I could cancel the pre-order. This last 2 weeks I feel like a drug addict over a phone but I will never do a pre order with mobile again this is crazy if the reps are going to lie they should make sure they all have the same script.
    NO MORE PRE ORDERS T-Mobile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Agreed. What’s enraging to me is that:

      A. You can’t cancel your preorder. I’ve been calling daily since Friday to cancel and no success

      And

      B. You can’t change your shipping speed once you place your order. Not even ONE MINUTE after hitting submit.

    My conclusion so far after reading 60 pages on XDA and 500+ comments over here…T-Mobile just doesn’t know how to handle pre-orders. No wonder they’re rated as one of the worst by JD Power in regards to customer service.

      its not that they don’t know how to handle pre-orders….they simply neglected to say specifically when the devices would ship….originally, the website stated that devices would ship “soon”…at some point the website was updated then said devices would ship on october 1st…how many of us would’ve just purchased in store had we known devices wouldn’t be available sooner than 10/2

    745pm ET account still showed back order and i had not been charged. just got off the phone with 3 reps at csr to finally cancel order, they were reluctant but got it done. called 3 stores in my area that are packed full of note 3’s that i can buy tmrrw morn. like auser72 said this was my first preorder and will def be my last. super bs but she still would not guarantee i would not have issues with eip at the store, but i have multiple lines so hope it goes ok (fingers crossed)lol

    So I finally got a tracking number and it’s scheduled for delivery on Thursday. :( I should have tried to cancel earlier, but my hopes were up that it would ship out soon and from TN. I’ve got a lot to do tomorrow so I’m thinking I’ll wait another day while launch day passes; I work from home Thursday so I’ll have a better environment to apply the screen protector first thing out of the box.

        Don’t really consider myself lucky (first world problems, I know) since it’s not going to show up until the day after launch and I ordered before 10 EDT on the 18th. I pass by two T-Mobile stores on my commute and they’ll be quite stocked. Could have saved myself all this trouble and the cost of shipping if I didn’t bother and swung by launch day. I”m going to ask them to credit the shipping because this isn’t how a preorder should have been handled.

Full of crap as always, their reps don’t know much there. Sure they are shoveled the info.         Do you have any issues with the proximity sensor. I.E. When you pull the phone away from your face does the display becomes active again. Mine seems to just go black as soon as I initiate a call and will not turn back on unless I hit the home button.

        Just wondering, one proximity sensor app i downloaded shows its working and another one does not. Hoping its maybe a software thing and not a phone isssue

      Spigen has some good quality cases, but they are a tad pricey. They sell directly off their site and on Amazon as well. Generally their prices on Amazon are cheaper. I’ve considered getting the Neo Hybrid, but didn’t want to spend that kind of money on a case. BTW, their Blue cases are an ok Blue, but not what’s displayed on most monitors. It’s a notch in the turquoise direction, but definitely not green in color; if you’re familiar with VW’s Jazz Blue paint, it’s closer to that.

      I really wanted a bumper this time around since I wanted to enjoy the how thin the phone really is. I wasn’t able to find any bumpers from any respectable manufactures so I got a no-name bumper for $2 off Ebay from one of the sellers out of China; it’s the same bumper with TPU in it that’s all over Alibaba and AliExpress. When I find a better quality one that I like, I’ll switch to that.

          I already got a $2 bumper off of there. All of the plastic bumpers I’ve saw last I looked seem to be from the same mold. You can tell from the hole that’s in the top right corner. I’m not a big fan of the aluminum bumpers or the cover flap. On the latter, I take too many pictures of my offspring to wan to deal with that flap.

          Just got it and spent most of my time trying to apply a screen protector. Apparently it’s really dusty in this room.

          Haven’t had a problem using the S-Pen yet. Although the tip of mine the rubber was already peeling off. Good thing it comes with extra tips.

          You know what it’s a little bit bulky on the back bc it has the shock resistance but it’s very snug. I’m very happy with it. The clear grey looks very nice on the white note 3.
