T-Mobile Pairs Up With Rob Kardashian For A…YouTube Clip

I’ll readily admit that for some unknown reason my wife thinks watching all 23492034234 of the Kardashian shows on E! is entertaining. Me? I look at them as the decay of modern society better known as “celebs” famous for being famous. Please marketing team, don’t bring Khloe in on the next one, I’m begging you.

In all seriousness, I really don’t understand the marketing message T-Mobile is hoping to get across with some of these YouTube only clips. I’d much rather see this marketing budget be spent on avenues that have greater potential, like continuing to publicize Simple Choice. Sure, the company can do both but I just feel these clips aren’t doing what T-Mobile’s marketing team hopes they will accomplish.

If you can get through all 96 seconds of this video I commend you. That’s it, mini-rant over. *Drops mic*

so easy even a TARD can choose

  • 21stNow

Did BlackBerry make that spot? I didn’t think that any other company could miss that boat like that. Macaroni and cheese?! Beavis and Butthead?! Is this supposed to inspire me to sign up for service with T-Mobile?

At least I can aim to be like a sock company owner instead of a frozen caveman or a monster, so I suppose that this is progress.

  • Garo.j

Those people are so fake!!!.he’s nauseating.

  • Josue

we live in a society where we know all the Kardashians but not the first 3 presidents of the USA. lol

LMFAO!!! “Now you need a new phone AND new service.”

    • Trevnerdio

That’s more like it. But I laughed whenever the other guy’s phone said LTE…couldn’t have been that much slower!

    • Stone Cold

Thank is a perfect example of a great commerical.

  • sidekicker89

This was one of the most awkward videos I’ve ever seen.. I like how she brings up all those food pairings just to emphasize how much weight he has gained hahaha

  • ike820

Your rant may be unfounded. Advertising on youtuve makes good sense becaus Youtube cost noting, the chance of a viral video, and the chance of fans piling up as subscribers. Instead its better to rant about using the boy Kardashian when they should have had one of his more famous sisters.

    • Steve Park

Youtube may cost nothing, but I can guarantee you that Rob Kardashian cost many Dollars for sitting down and talking for 5 min. T-Mobile, quit wasting MY money on this trash.

  • kalel33

What do you mean David? You posted a T-mobile spot on February 9th of 2011 with T-mobile using Khloe Kardashian. I guess they can’t even afford that waste of space anymore either.

  • Todd

Wow, looked like he was hittin the Oxy a little too much when they filmed this – slurring his words, eyes a little out of focus.

  • Verizonthunder

Wow this is f***ing bad … T-Mobile stop with the crappy commercial’s you are now on the same tier as Blackberry commercial’s. Fire your marketing team seriously

  • steveb944

Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse.

  • ccnet005

Maybe T-mobile can put out some commercials showing how far along they are with LTE and how soon it will be across the rest of the country

    • Dakota

Nah, let’s keep targeting the teen and college crowd looking for cheap rates since that’s done so well for us the last 5 years

    • Trevnerdio

They need at least like…99.582% of their network covered in it before they even mention it, come on now ;)

  • Guest

Stupid hair must be the thing. I don’t know why but every single member of their family is really really hard to listen to….wait i do know why, because they’re stupid.

    • stupid

How can you call someone stupid when you can’t even spell lol!

  • AndHeSaid

What the duck is this? T-Mobile, wat r u doing? T-Mobile, stahp, pls. This is by FAR, one of the most irrelevant, incoherent, downright unusual commercials I’ve ever seen… u_u Unreal… LOL. I love T-Mobile but… ROFL. Nice job, marketing team. You really hit those carriers hard with this one. XD

  • qpinto

lol he is intimidated by her lololololol

  • Dakota

I am NOT going to bother with listening to the commercial. But if T Mobile is trying to change it image and not appear to be the cell phone carrier for the young and cheap crowd, I don’t see how this b does it. Not exactly who the Kardashians are appealing to.
when they announced a new CEO and on you marketing strategy, I hope that would mean a new advertising and PR agencies. Obviously that didn’t happen and the ads we’re getting our even worse than the chick on a motorcycle. I don’t know too many people who are being drawn to a mobile carrier because their customers live in a shoe or look like Frankenstein

  • no2apple

    Seriously ??

  • Brettschulte

Pretty awful. They’ve never understood how to integrate celebrity into their brand.

  • Trevnerdio

Their whole ad team needs to be fired. I made it to “who better than the founder of socks whatever” and I’m like nope, done. Not watching this anymore. Too much stupidity for me.

  • Jose M Gonzalez

wtf is this? why is tmobile pairing with non celebrities ?

  • Stone Cold

Made it to 36 seconds and it sucked destry this clip now. Ad agency your FRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • KreepyA$$Kracker

Dumbest commercial ever!!! I don’t even understand it, It’s like watching a brain dead Kardashian. The “simple choice” is to drop this video immediately!!!

  • rob

I don’t like this kind of marketing, its too fake and scripted.

  • zifnab

I won’t even watch it, totally agree that crap like the Kardashian’s is at least partially responsible for the decay of society. Its a shame to watch the worthless dregs of society held up as an idol for children to model themselves after. I guess T-Mobile is hoping to capture the intellectually inept crowd with these ads.

  • Trevnerdio

Aw come on David, no 4th of July post? ;)

  • Bklynman

What next Tmobile,The Jersey Shore gang?

    • stevejobbed

“Mr. Legere there is a Jwow on line 3 wondering when her commercial spot will air?”

  • MCGTech

Terrible Ad, guess you have to be a fan.. On the upside it led me to something much better:

  • Jeff

Companies which keep corrupt directors (John) and eliminate hard
working employees or replace hard working employees with their own
buddies based on John’s decision will always be failure and last on in
their industry. They will always need some other company or bank to keep
them running and to distract their customers and employees. But sooner
or later these type of companies get crushed under the weight of their
    own corruption.

It is amazing these organizations are still existing with all these corruptions.

    • ClausWillSeeYouNow

You sick opportunist. Choose an article that you know leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth to post your anti-corporate nonsense.

You must work for a union.

  • Marc Klein

They got rid of Carly for this?

  • thepanttherlady

LOL Yes, regular comments are posted. The spam you keep trying to post aren’t. ;)

  • TechHog

Well, she posted the spam either way…
