T-Mobile business customers take noyr as the registration page for the upcoming launch of the BlackBerry Q10 is now live. T-Mobile announced the device on April 24th and promised “additional details, including availability and pricing, will be shared at a later date.” Whispers have us believing that we could be looking at a late May launch for business customers with consumer availability shortly thereafter. If you’re a T-Mobile business customer or plan to be in the future and demand a QWERTY keyboard, the Q10 may be just what the doctor ordered.

The Q10 features:

3.1? SuperAMOLED display, 720×720 resolution at 330ppi
Blackberry 10 OS
Dual-core 1.5GHz processor
35-key physical QWERTY keyboard
2GB RAM
16GB internal memory
8 megapixel rear facing camera
1080p video recording
2 megapixel front-facing camera
LTE, HSPA+ connectivity
NFC

Are there any nice/decent older blackberry phones I can buy off amazon or something for a good price? I’m interested in having a QWERTY again and BBs are so nice!

    • Chris

I mean I really want THIS phone (Q10) but it’s really expensive I won’t be able to afford it. Maybe tmonews will have a contest for me to win one :)

      • 21stNow

I would think that CrackBerry would have a contest to win one. Of course, there will be thousands of entrants but someone has to win it.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 may be an option for you.

        • Chris

I’m gonna check it out. Thanks!

  • Ginadagelatina

A part of me still has luv for bb and i admit this is a nice looking phone and all but i dont know if i will be getting it. Last bb i had bb torch was nice and all but i had many problems with it kept overheating, kept getting frozen switched it 3 times same problem till i gave up on it.

There is no comparison between BBOS (legacy OS 7.1 and below) and BB10 OS. I have the Z10 and haven’t rebooted once! I love this OS and the Q10 runs the same OS, just slightly modified to fit the smaller screen.
Not one line of code from BBOS 7.1 (or lower) was brought over to BB10

People can’t seem to grasp that this is a completely new OS built from the ground up, and built off an operating system that is proven stable, solid and secure (QNX). I hear so much, “my last BlackBerry . . . ” I have to stop everyone right now, there is no comparison. This is completely new and built for today! What you know and remember about your old/previous BB, forget it, those problems no longer exist!

really hoping we get the white version!

  • Zac

Hey T-Mobile will you let me unlock this phone to take overseas on business trips? No? Oh ok, sweet thanks.

    • TechHog

Complaining about not being able to unlock a device you don’t fully own is TOTALLY valid.

    • 21stNow

Sure, after it’s paid for in full and you have completed 40 days of service.

      • TechHog

Actually, T-Mobile changed it to 18 months of service.

        • the2000guy

Really? Then basically is the way to force you to keep a contract for 18 months to get the phone unlocked. That’s no deal for any customer because if you want to buy it and then you dont want it anymore before the 18 month period, then you have to sell it working only for tmo. In my opinion that sucks, because I wanted working on any carrier possible and to get better chances to sell it at a reasonable price, or in case I want to borrow to someone who is currently in another carrier.

        • TechHog

Sorry, I meant for the classic plan.

        • the2000guy

          Oh ok, thanks!!!

        • Herb

          Source please?

        • TechHog

          See above

        • 21stNow

It’s 40 days if you pay full price. It’s 18 months for Classic plan customers.

        • TechHog

Yeah, that’s what I meant. My bad.

  • Christopher_McG

ALL THINGS WHITE!!!!!!!! Where is the White Z10 and Q10?

    • SocalTeknique

      Verizon exclusive

  • tomnewtn

Soon the preorders begin….when loyal TMO customers only get the “out of stock” vs “add to cart”. Nice looking device. I used to have to battery pull daily my curve.

Wil this have WiFi Calling? Software like on Android or realdeal like before that can handoff to towers smoothly?!

    • Alex Zapata

The new BlackBerry phones do not come UMA equipped, so no handoff to cell towers from WiFi. I don’t believe Wi-Fi calling is available yet either.

    • http://www.facebook.com/connectedcs Jonah Bjorkman

Alex is correct. It does not support UMA . . YET! Future software update will bring it.

  • predation

does this mean if i pick this phone up, i can get my $19.99 unlimited BB data plan back?

    • http://www.facebook.com/connectedcs Jonah Bjorkman

With BB10, there is no longer a “separate” from all others data plan. BB10 no longer is on Blackberry’s BIS.

  • whydoesBBtakesolong

BB Bold 9900 is completely underpowered and it freezes way too much. It should’ve never been released with the single core processor and the RAM that it came with. Hopefully Q10 is a much better phone. The 9900 froze during calls, emails or it completely shuts down on its own at any moment’s notice.

    • http://www.facebook.com/connectedcs Jonah Bjorkman

BBOS (OS 7.1 and under) does not support multicore Processors. It was just a place holder until BB10 and the Q10 was released. Being a Z10 owner and loving the BB10 OS, which is not even comparable to BBOS, the Q10 is going to be sic! Even though the Z10 virtual keyboard is the best on the market, I still miss my physical keyboard! I can’t wait for the Q10!
