Deal Alert: Samsung Galaxy Note II On Sale For $229 At Best Buy

Screen Shot 2013-01-25 at 12.12.09 PM

Looking for a deal on the Galaxy Note II? Take a glimpse at Best Buy with a new two-year contract good for both new and qualifying upgrades. The $229 price is well below the $369 price (after mail-in rebate) now offered at T-Mobile stores. The Galaxy Note II needs little introduction round these parts and with the promise of a future update to activate the “hidden” LTE inside, the Note II is future proof for all.

No word on how long this deal lasts, so act fast!

Nice but going to wait for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumor’s are it’s 6.3 inches just hopefully they increase the width of the phone to the same width as the original note

    • Zacamandapio

      +1 +100 +1000 4 U.

      I agree.

But then again, When the GNIII comes out the GNIV will be on the horizon.
      :P

      • DUDE

seeing how samsung releases phones yearly, if you consider GNIII coming out this fall and the GNIV possibly be releasing fall of 2014 then yes i guess that the GNIV will “be on the horizon”

        • Zacamandapio

          And on Verizon!!

          ;)

    • Zach Mauch

You’ll be waiting 6 months for them to announce, another 1-2 for T-Mobile to get it. Possibly another 2-4 for it to be in stock and you be able to get it. Finally, the price will be just like the Note II started out, so you might choose to wait for a sale. When that finally rolls around, it’s about time you’ll hear the rumors on the Note IV.

IMHO, just get the damn Note II.

      • B_Eng

Funny, but sad…..because it’s true. Damned technology changing too fast

    • AndroidProfit

You should wait for the Note 6!

If you’ve never had either GNote, you might as well just grab this one. You won’t be disappointed.

  • Jack Lynch

Wow…I upgraded mine and my wife’s phone under the samsung deal back in november. We still have to pay 400 for each phone with the EIP…payments started coming out today. Considering the phones were back ordered until mid december, and now the note 2 is 229, and the gs3 was on sale for 50 last week, I really feel like we got screwed hard on that “deal”. That’s literally over 500 in savings we could have had by not going with the samsung weekend deal offered by tmobile. Im sure a bogo is coming in February as well…

    • thepanttherlady

This sale is for Classic plan customers. If you’re utilizing an EIP chances are you are on the Value plan and this sale wouldn’t work for you.

      • Zacamandapio

        Yeah!!

  • 21stNow

So if this is on the Classic plan, this almost breaks even with the Value plan pricing over two years. The difference in Value plan MRCs is $480, but the difference in device price is $471. Depending on the interest/return-on-investment rates that you can get, that $471 savings now could be more than saving $480 over two years at the rate of $20/month.

    • Zacamandapio

Just give it a rest with the comparison. Someone else will agree with you and someone else is going to disagree. Just buy what you want, what you can afford, what you decide, whatever!!
      :)

    • AndroidProfit

I wish I had pulled the trigger when it was $50 (I think $50) after MIR with the value plan! Oh well!

    • Kufat

Thanks for the numbers, good to know. Don’t forget to factor in sales tax and whether or not it’s charged on the monthly cost of the Classic plan. That could make the difference between a price being better or worse.

  • TechHog

I just bought the Note 2 a week ago for $300. **** everything.

  • weberduder

online only or can you do this in store?

  • http://www.youtube.com/#/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

Glad I was able to snag one of these. It has turned out to be the best device on the market right now, so universal. Samsung hit the nail right on the head with this product, I’m impressed. I’ve been using it since it launched, and I won’t part with it unless they release something that is just stellar. However, I’ve been waiting patiently on the BB10 devices to drop, and LTE as well. So knowing that the Note 2 will have that ability to do LTE, is exciting. For all those that have it already, Don’t you just LOVE it!!! Go Sammy!!!

  • AndroidProfit

Got mine about 2 weeks ago at WalMart for $279. Great phone! It’s soooo true! Once you start using it other smart phones took tiny!
So happy I pulled the trigger!

  • rubenstinejr

so tempting. but I want the rumored s4.

    • PCJ

holdng out for the s5 with the drywall repair feature

      • rubenstinejr

but they said it could weld!? stupid rumors…

        • Josue

I heard It can teleport you food from any part of the world

      • Deadeye37

I would pay big bucks for a phone that could repair my drywall!

      • Antdog

Holding out for the 6.5 inch Note 4, that supposedly folds up into a 1 inch square.

  • Corey Smith

All thanks to me. Whoever decides to purchase this. Got mine today and put the word in for my fellow T-Mobile users

  • Bobby

Will wait for the Note 3 in a couple months

  • galaxymaniac

now where are the Value Plan fanatics with their math? oh yeah, they’re all hiding under Legere’s skirts…

  • therealmikebrown

Just an FYI, T-mobile has the S3 for $99 no rebate! It says online only, but check it out.

    • The Architect

Walmart had a better deal that expired on Dec. 1st for $48 without a mir when I got my fiancee’s S3.

  • Jason Crumbley

I’m not eligible to upgrade until Feb. 13th. This deal will probably be long gone by then, unfortunately.

    • Kahlayoh

You’ll probably catch the yearly valentines sale they have every year! Be patient, you’ll get a good deal. Hopefully they have the buy 1 get 1 free deal again…hopefully!

  • Michelle

Does anyone know if this is in store or online only?

  • http://www.facebook.com/unfazedrebel Jé Be (Here but Gone)

A real deal is no contract, if you read an article and fail to comprehend or are left with questions…contact….the source…….why post a question and wait for someone to give there interpretation or what they know to be true, when if you have a question about best buy and the deal they are offering, no one better to contact than best buy…You know the ones offering the deal….take initiative sometimes in life

  • The Architect

Ha Ha!!! Got mine for $200 after $100 mir and online discount on black friday!!!

  • gd

best buy does not sell Tmobile phones so who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • http://tmonews.com David

Really? Because that’s the Best Buy website and that’s a T-Mobile phone.

    • steve1026

You mean they don’t do T mobile in the stores. but clearly they do on there website.

  • Justin Jackson

cartoys price is still better at 199 without any rebates! the only thing is though is you have to order the phone but if you can wait a couple days for the phone is a much better deal!

  • steve1026

This deal is no longer available. Glad I got mine on Tuesday!! Would never have found it without TmoNews!! Thanks David!
