Will The High Price Of The Galaxy S III Stop You From Buying?

Now that the Galaxy S III is officially for sale on T-Mobile, I thought it worth wondering just how much the price is affecting your buying decision, thanks in no small part to your incredible amount of feedback about T-Mobile’s price. T-Mobile is clearly not concerned about the “standard” industry price of $199.99/$249.99 for the 16GB and 32GB varieties. So I have one small question in three parts, will the high price stop you from buying the Galaxy S III or will you buy it at any price OR will you wait till the price drops? How badly do you want it?

Just came back from Walmart in East Valley AZ. They didn’t have it in stock but they had their pricing label up at $198. No rebates to deal with either. I’m glad 3rd party retailers are willing to treat T-mobile customers better than T-mobile does.

    • Knock 1092

      Ok princess.
I am sorry they hurt your delicate feelings.

    • Pikachu

“I’m glad 3rd party retailers are willing to treat T-mobile customers better than T-mobile does.”

Try to go to Walmart for help, questions, troubleshooting… As a rep, I’m confused how device price speaks for how we treat customers?

      • Knock 1092

        Exactly!
        Just drivel.
These same people when trying to sell something themselves would always try and get as much as possible.
        Friggin hypocrites.

        • rschauby

You guys are pathetically stupid. Since when is negotiating the best deal for yourself considered pathetic behavior? I think the hypocrisy comes your from end. If money is no object, then why are you on a “value” oriented carrier like Tmobile? Shouldn’t you be over on the Verizon forums stroking your epeen at how much you paid for your phone and service bill?

Paying more doesn’t mean you’re rich, it means you’re stupid.

        • Pikachu

I wish I could understand where you are coming from, but I’m having such a hard time trying to understand how you could form such lengthy negative opinions, including presumptions of our income. There is a clear difference between “negotiating” and “entitlement”. I guess no amount of business training or psychology classes can help me understand every customer, hah.

        • Manobeer

A customer is never entitled, but we can make observations and give opinions… even if you dont have the capacity to understand them.

I dont need help choosing a phone I already decided to buy, I need and will shop for best price.

          DONE.

        • Pikachu

          UNFORTUNATELY! No.

I think you’re confusing lack of capacity against having common sense, addressing your reply enlightens the fact that it’s a gift these days, helps clear the writers block too when you have to open some eyes.

          You say:

“but we can make observations and give opinions…”

          This is an opinion:
“There is a clear difference between “negotiating” and “entitlement” ”

          This is an observation
          (see something and state it):
“I guess no amount of business training or psychology classes can help me understand every customer, hah.”

          This is NOT an opinion:
          “You guys are pathetically stupid.”

          This is NOT an observation:
“Shouldn’t you be over on the Verizon forums stroking your epeen at how much you paid for your phone and service bill?”

This is what anyone with common sense would refer to as “diarrhea of the mouth”. Who are you defending here?

          HE-HE-HE-HE-HEADSHOT OTT OTT OTT.

        • Dumbazz

But yet you still complain despite the phone being available lower from SEVERAL TRETAILERS!

        • rschauby

You don’t have the mental capacity to understand where I’m coming from given your deficiencies. Every non-troll here has made it pretty clear that they don’t think $329 is a “fair” price. You and your troll friends response has been “LOL poor crybabies can’t afford phones cuz they are poor people”. I think it’s very accurate of me to say that you and your friends lack any real business sense, are poor at handling money, and lack logic.

If you can’t figure basics like Walmart @ $198 < TMo @ $329, then time to think your education. If you already spent money on an education, you got ripped off.

        • Knock 1092

Seriously if you can’t afford a super phone like we can that is your problem.
          Try getting a better job?

        • Spanky

There’s a difference between not being able to afford something and not willing to pay what one doesn’t consider to be a fair price.

        • Knock 1092

Because if you were trying to sell something you would be complaining about how someone is cheap and trying to low ball you.

        • Dumbazz

And some of the losers posting here are taking this higher pricing by T-Mobile a little too personally.Despite the phone CLEARLY being available at a lower cost AT SEVERAL RETAILERS people are still posting complaining about T-Mobile pricing. These same losers complain about every company they do business with I am sure.
They are never happy and always feel they are entitled.

    • CRT24

Really…..try getting help from the Wal-Mart employee when your bill is messed up……….well, because you did business at Wal-Mart. Also try to exchange your device at Wal-Mart if you get a defective phone……sometimes its worth spending a little extra to deal with the people that know what the hell they are doing, i.e. in corporate stores.

    • LehighNewb

3rd parties always have better phone pricing for any carrier due to buying in bulk and special deals worked out with the carriers. that said a lot of 3rd party sellers won’t help you for jack if you need contacts transferred, a question or an issue. The only exception to this that I am aware of is radio shack (who no longer sells tmo) and the associated target wireless.  The price of the phone has entirely no correlation to how customers are being treated.

  • itrustme

If it was the quad core version I’d pay. Definitely not gonna pay damn near $400 when its all said n done + contract for a s4 knockoff. I’d suggest getting an unlocked Gnex over this all day.

    • TBN27

Fact: A GS3 is not a knock off because of an S4 chip. Samsung puts whatever chip according to compatibility.

      • itrustme

Yeah, cause you say so… fact: its a gimped version of the device’s intended hardware for a trade off that makes no sense, faster hspa+? Which doesn’t really translate to anything more superior than last Gen. T-Mobile had absolutely no beneficial reason to opt for the s4 version without LTE. I’m 110% certain that having the only quad core version in the states would have been a better selling point for them.

        • TBN27

Fact 1: it is not a gimped version anything. Just because it is not exynos. Fact 2: a lot of people care about data speeds more than they care about graphical power which exynos has a minor edge over other SOC’s visually. So it makes sense that they provide proper compatible equipment to experience theoretical advertised speeds what most people care about. If they were to bring it over with an incompatible exynos chip, they would shooting themselves in the foot for a few tech nerds.

        • itrustme

Again , cause they’re gonna advertise it differently from their other faux G devices? Its still hspa+ . If we’re talking about the general consumer , then you’d know, all they know is “4g” and “lte”.Thats it. Therefore people wouldve definitely appealed more to quad core and faux g. Sorry to burst your bubble budddy

        • TBN27

Yes. Faster hspa+ for the general consumer that matters. And most general consumers are smarter than you give them credit for. As an example a lot of general consumers are aware of and are experience faster data speeds on a handset when surfing the web or streaming music and movies and don’t care a lick about which processor. Faster databspeeds are more important than an incompatible chip. If the market were based on you, they would be out of business long ago. Oh and i don’t have a bubble to burst buddy.

        • itrustme

Lmao! If u think so… from what I’ve seen there’s no real world advantage to this upgrade in faster hspa+ . I get the same speeds on my gnex. Isn’t T-Mobile eventually getting lte? Thus ,making it more of a nonsense move. My gut feeling is telling me u work for T-Mobile. And to say people don’t care about the processor is retarded . Look at the iPhone 4s . Cmon be serious . They might not know about its internals but they most definitely care about fluidity and user experience and there is a difference between both versions.

        • Baboy

          stfu

        • TBN27

          You too.

        • TBN27

I know so because i am experiencing it now. Coming from a G2X to a GS2 i have seen the increase in theoretical data speeds and it is very significant in how much faster it is. So there is a greater advantage. I also compared my cousin’s Gnex on the same network amd i am pulling down web pages a full second faster than he was. T- Mobile os going to have LTE by the middle of next year and by then there will probably be something faster than an S4 chip out that can run it and most likely will be Qualcomm will be the supplier if they are still the only supplier that makes the chip compatible to the network. Hell the company doesn’t even know yet Therefore, it isn’t nonsense. I don’t work for t- mobile, the gut feeling you have is diarrhea. And if it is telling you things then you have a condition. Finally most people that get the iPhone don’t care about the processor. Some do but most don’t. If they did then every last iPhone owner would switch to the 4S. But most go to the iPhone for it’s ease of use. And there are some that don’t care about the data speeds of the iPhone because they hardly use the web and watch youtube. They just want it because it is an iPhone or they like the features of the operatimng system m. ore than android and that is more important to them

        • niftydl

I am not sure what area you live in, but for me in DC/MD tunnel the Galaxy Nexus would rarely go over 10-13 Mbps. My Amaze would consistently hit over 10 Mbps in the same area and over 20 Mbps in some sites.
Unless you are using your phone as a gaming device, there is practically no benefit to all those extra cores. Most software is still written to be backwards compatible with single cored devices. The 2 GB of dual channel RAM + faster network access is a much greater benefit to the perception of “fluidity” than extra cores.

        • itrustme

Not with my experience. I’ve owned the gs2 ,sensation ,g2 ,vibrant ,vibrant 4g ,nexus s, gnex, g2x, and nexus one on T-Mobile. The fastest internet speeds came from the sensation and g2 and it only lasted for about two months .After that they were practically the same average speed (besides the nexus one and s) I’m in miami.

        • itrustme

Btw d.c. T-Mobile is probably one of the best carriers . I recently went to Virginia and I’ve never experienced better signal and data speeds anywhere. Miami T-Mobile is good but not great as in Virginia.

        • itrustme

Plus, quad core just sounds cool. They could’ve advertised it accordingly.

        • Edy6401

All of the US carriers are getting the s4. that was Samsung’s choice, not the carriers, and not tmobiles. if you want the exinos get the international version. stop blaming tmobile for something they had no say in. again, All the US Carriers are getting three same dam version.

        • Tbyrne

          LMFAO!! You are so right!

    • Knock 1092

      Wow you are delusional.

when you think best buy, Walmart ,or cosco, will put in online?

    • vsukid

I was wondering the same thing. For minute i thought it would have to be a in store purchase

  • Idazedi

has anybody found a walmart in south central PA that sells the GSIII?

    • LehighNewb

call around to walmarts in your area.

  • Dan Pancamo

$198 at Walmart on Friday. Tmobile add another $20 fee for me to sign up for anotherb2 years??? What BS is that!

  • vsukid

I Was About to Purchase My Galaxy SIII and total cost came to 375.22 for one phone. Is that being ridiculousness honestly. Am I really and honestly supposed to be like ” yeah thats fine because I only pay 80 dollars a month…….I

    • Dumbazz

      Who cares

  • Breen_breen

just picked mine up from Walmart for 198+tax totaling to around 209 last night and its definitely everything i expected and more……funny thing is they only got a shipment of 3 for their stock and they only sold one since Thursday

    • Taron19119

Where at what city u in

  • souggie

guys, call your TMO CSR and be nice to them, no lie, my deal just got even sweeter…I went to walmart to get their last GS3 and it showedthat i wasn’t eligible for upgrade when in fact i was.. so i called TMO right in front of the walmart CSR, and sure enough, the TMO CSR validated that i was eligible for upgrade.  However, the Walmart CSR told me that she couldnt do a manual override, so I told the TMO CSR exactly what she said, and this angel of a TMO CSR decided to have a chat with the CSR…so i ended up not getting the GS3 right then and there, but i am getting the 16 GB GS3 through customer care with (drum roll):no upgrade fee, no shipping fees EXPRESS shipping, instant rebate, $100.00 dollar credit on my bill, AND…she PRICED MATCHED walmarts pricing for 199.99.  So in short…i’m getting the GS3 for $100. Motherfuggin A!!

    • Taron19119

And did u get it today or have to wait tell the 27th

      • souggie

        gotta wait till the 27th….

        • Taron19119

Dam im geting it for 179.99

        • souggie

thats still one hell of a price if you get for that though…much better than fuggin 279.99 after rebate

        • Taron19119

And I just found out that I can still use the rebate even if they took the rebate off up front so it well now cost me 129.99

        • souggie

lol yall bout to be mad at me, they made a mistake, the TMO CSR before the one i spoke to at walmart actually notated a 150.00 credit on my account…so i got that extra 50.00 as well…so now….16GB is 49.99 and 32GB is 99.99 after all those credits for me…i’m trippin right now!! TMO 4EVA!!!

        • Taron19119

wow that crazy and they lost how many customers  best place to be is t-mobile

        • souggie

EXCELLENT!! sometimes all it takes is a lil’ wheelin n dealin!

    • fenderbender

I just got off the phone with TMO CSR and they gave me a $200 credit for the phone. Going to pick it up at Walmart for $199. Not a bad deal.

      • souggie

thats good stuff fender, we gotta try to get a deal where we can, sometimes just accepting the price isnt the answer, even if you can afford it…

  • souggie

    gotta love the loyalty department…

    • http://twitter.com/TattonPhillips Tatton Phillips

how were they helpful to you? ive been with tmo for 11years now and im truely pissed off at their service right niww

      • souggie

they’ve been really helpful to me in trying to get THIS partciular phone, i’ve been with them for almost 10 years, and sometimes it’s hit or miss with them, but the last few times i’ve called, i’ve gotten nothing but the most helpful, nicest people, that go out of their way for you so….it just depends i guess

        • souggie

          particular, sorry

  • Jack

CAN’T WAIT to get my hands on the Galaxy S3. I’d even pay the full price, and that’s around $800 or so.

  • Josehadathy

Seriously go check your local walmart mine had only one GS3 shipped in when it came out and they still had it today. 198 plus 18 dollar upgrade fee is definitely worth it. No rebates or anything.

  • Burke985

i wouldnt pay that much for any phone its not worth it when 4 months later its already outdated ,wait for the price to come down or the next best thing ,my S2 is still kickin ass

    • CRT24

The next best thing will be the same price, or higher…..thus using your logic you will never buy a new phone.

  • http://profiles.google.com/yogageeta Bhagiratha das

If tmo is moving to the 1900 mhz frequency, I think its a good investment to just get the GT-i9300.  I can’t justify spending about $723 for the tmo version!

Lets hoping the 1900 spectrum rolls out very soon.

  • rschauby

It all depends on where you are in your contract how well the loyalty department treats you. If you have a nice fat ETF hanging over your head, they treat you like trash. If you’re close, or out of contract they are very nice.

    • Spanky

Not necessarily. In November 2010, I used a full upgrade on a MyTouch 4G, renewing my contract. When the Sensation came out in June 2011, I called retentions and asked very nicely if it would be at all possible to get a discount on that phone. I also acknowledged that I’ve already upgraded about 8 months ago. The rep entered my info into the computer, thanked me for being a loyal customer (I was with T-Mo for 6 years at the time), and offered me a full upgrade price.

Of course, things could have changed in a year, but I’ve never had any issues with retentions. In fact, if it wasn’t for the horrid data speeds in my neighborhood, I wouldn’t be planning on leaving T-Mobile.

I sold it in 4 days and NEVER EVER am I getting any phone made by Samsung. I’m back to my lovely Nexus one made by HTC. The nest phone bar far I have ever owned.

    • Haha

      wow. you are stupid

well I called Retention and I was nice to them and everything but I def was told to call back after the 27 because they “do not have any GS3 in stock yet” im assuming either they lied to me or the people that have called and gotten theirs were lying as well..

      They lied to you.
      Do you know why?

      • Taron19119

Ok your lieing prove it and if so how

      • Tmo_Fan

I have no idea.. I am eligible for full upgrade and so I have no idea .. I guess Im going to call tomorrow and ask them why they lying..

    • Nitefallz

They told me the same thing.  I’m confident there’s a ton of people lying about getting anything through T-Mobile’s retentions at this point.

  • Au123

Anyone find one in the South?

  • Dumbazz

See T-Mobile can’t win. They give you $149 and you want more and more and more and more.

  • s10shane

i called t-mobiles customer service and they dont have any. i want my GS3 already but they have to overwrite the systems to give me a early upgrade at the 2 full years so i guess i will be waiting longer. :(

  • ND5

T-Mobile is nuts.  They don’t have LTE, they don’t have the iPhone, they don’t even have the Note but yet they think they can charge more for these phones than their three major competitors?  I don’t think so.  By the time I pay $280 + upgrade fee (~$300) for this phone, I’d seriously consider a Galaxy Nexus at $399 with no contract.  Then I wouldn’t have to deal with that crappy touchwiz interface to boot.  If T-Mobile wants to stop the bleeding, they need to get real with their pricing structures.  You don’t want to have the best phones or services, you better not charge like you do.  Period.

    • Dannyc1976

I rather be with tmobile now. I know the price for the phone is hight but i rather pay $20 for unlimited data than $50 or $60 with other company like verizon . My friend can’t upgrade his phone because he will lose his unlimited and pay crazy money for data. All carriers charge taxes and activation fee .
Stop bitching about iphone or note …… if you want a note and iphone go to att, verizon or sprint and pay more than what tmobile charge you now.
If you can’t pay $270 for a phone than dont fu@*#$ get it. Get a real job and maybe you can pay for it.
      I love my galaxy s3

      • Nd5

Lol, you have no idea what kind of job I have, do you? On principle, T-Mobile can’t just say we get to charge a higher price than *Everyone else* because our plans are less expensive. They are still in fourth place to Sprint… this isn’t the way to compete in my opinion. My post was just that, an opinion, not a statement about my income. Think and read before you spout off next time, k?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XPZ26YMZKSMYRJKZUL7JDZMTLQ Michael

They may not have LTE, but the 42mbps HSPA+ is nearly as fast.  And because it doesn’t have LTE, it gets nearly double the battery life as the AT&T version.  Check the reviews.  That’s the benefit of no LTE radio.  If you don’t like what they charge, get it at Walmart or some other retailer for less.  As for their pricing structure, look at the monthly rates and not just the price of the phones.  I would pay $30-40 a month more on any other carrier even with corporate discounts.

    • HoneyDew117

If you can get 2 unlimited talk/text  and 2Gb data lines w/o overages for $139.99 per month from the other competitors then give it a shot. Until then quit your whining…

      • ND5

Well… with my corporate discount, it’s not too much more expensive than that actually.  And the data plan is 3GB, not 2GB.  T-Mobile needs to COMPETE.  I’m not whining, I’m just giving my opinion.  Why is it that any time someone has something less than stellar to say about our beloved T-Mobile, we’re labeled as whiners or jobless?  hmmmmm….

  • theauto1

Picked mine up at Costco (Plano,tx) Sunday $270 out the door no rebate. Great phone so far today will be the first day to check out the battery.

    • Anonn

Was that for the 16gb version?  What was the price before taxes and all the other miscellaneous stuff?

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XPZ26YMZKSMYRJKZUL7JDZMTLQ Michael

That should be after taxes.  Costco has the phone with an accessories bundle for $249.99 plus tax.  That’s for the 16gb version.  Walmart has it $198 plus tax but no accessories.

  • guest

    nice

  • Rozco

Anyone know if the White 16GB is out/available at Walmart yet. I been calling they only have Blue or none left.

    • Taron19119

I call walmart they have it but told me 270 wit upgtade

      • Rozco

really? why $270? is that 32GB.. the 16GB should be $198, I’m going to try and call my local Walmart.

  • Looking

no Walmart’s in OKC with it. Please post were you are if you have a Walmart selling it around you. Thank you

  • 21stNow

It shows that shipping is unavailable for this.  More importantly, that price is way too high.  Expansys has the white one for $674.99 now.

  • Livestrong18

Tmo is complete BS now…what happend?  I went into a store in SJ and they upgrade two phones to the 16gb Blue for $347 if I wanted to keep my old My Faves plan, and $329 to get a on a new plan.  AND…they said I’d have to pay $20/mo for each phone additional till the phone is paid off at $630!!!  What kinda scam is this?  So I said, lemme get this straight, I have to pay $750+ downpayment right now, I have to change my plan to some new BS plan, and I have to pay $20/mo extra for each phone (even if that means the phone won’t be worth that price in the future) till it’s paid off at $630, and get stuck on another 2yr contract?  She said yes, I said goodbye.  I can buy the phone somewhere else cheaper and not get stuck on your 2yr agreement.  I’ll be switching to Verizon soon.

    • tommy

They allowed you to finance BOTH phones at $20 a month EACH for 20 months? and after 20 months you’d be on the new plan?

The New Plan is at what cost? It was a value plan for 2 phones?

sorry, didnt get into details. downpayment of $750+ including taxes for two phones.  it wouldve been $145.xx per month for a family value plan + $20/mo. for each phone (x2 = $40).  so i’m looking at $185.xx+ per month?  she didn’t have an answer as to why i have to finance the rest of the phone since I’m fully upgrading.  Every other carrier is ~$200 w/ a 2yr and that’s it.  no other carrier makes you finance to pay off the phone at $630+ is there?

I was shocked and very upset.

Seems like $145 for 2 lines on Value plan is a mistake. Should be about $50 less

        • HoneyDew117

5 Gb data plan instead of 2 Gb is the difference in cost

Are you on a value plan?  Value plans don’t get discounts on phones.  You pay full price for all upgrades.  In exchange, you’re monthly rate is lower. Classic plans include phone upgrades, but costs you a little bit more each month.  My upgrade was $198 +tax at Walmart on my classic plan.

You’re on a Value plan, which means you pay for your phones in full over the course of your plan. A Classic plan pays whatever “down payment” but doesn’t have to pay any more on the phone. Value plans pay less each month for service compared to a Classic plan, because the Value plan does not have a subsidized phone cost.

This release is a complete joke. I called around to every Walmart, and Costco with no luck. So the argument that one can get it cheaper through 3rd party is dead for now. I even called some Best Buy’s and was told they most likely won’t get stock until mid July. I don’t get where these companies get these release dates from? They must just pull them out of their asses. Nobody sticks to what they say.

i got mine for $213 (pebble blue) out the door from walmart in los angeles, it was the last one in stock. i did find out somthing interesting… before i bought from walmart i called tmobile tele-sales (1800 TMOBILE) and i told them i wanted the s3 but could not dish out the $329 up front. he said because i had more than 2 years sicelast upgrade, good history, and qualified for the fullest upgrade he could give the $50 mail in rebate off instantly plus $100 off making the tmobile s3 $180 plus full retail tax. the only problem was that they where out of stock but he said all notes for the discounts where on my account and just keep calling back avery few days for stock. anyone thats on the same boat as me could get these discounts thru tmobile tele-sales. just ask. youll be surprised as i was.

he also mentioned that the reason for the dealy was that qualcom was having trouble getting the processors to  samsung on time therfore creating all delay.

walmart is still the cheapest route since its $199 plus we only get taxed on the sale price here in california for a total of $213 and some change. there is a upgrade fee of $18 thats charged to your bill.

i also found out about tmobiles $35 5gb data plan that includes mobile hotspot….great deal for a limited time i was told..

Nope.  Had my phone playing music and Google Nav on for 45 minutes without any heating issue.  My Galaxy S would’ve gotten really hot under that situation.

Anyone know where it is available in New York? 32 GB Blue preferable?

    • Tmo_Fan

I guess we will be looking for a good place here in NY .. I cnt wait..

  • Jordan Pereira

I picked my GSIII up at a Costco in Orange County on Friday for $249.99 + tax.

  • sdk4

Just checked in with the SW Connecticut Walmart’s and no such luck on any S3′s. Just have to wait till Wednesday.

  • AM3RIG

Dear David Beren, No, that isn’t a reason High Price. but The Dual-Cores Galaxy S III actually stopped me from buying, I’ve the DUAL-CORES GSII already, No point in upgrading from single core to single core or dual core to dual core since the hardware is very similar. I made that mistake before.

I think you are very confused or in denial… Or even plain ignorant. I got S2 in Dec and I just got S3 and I can tell you its a big upgrade..

      The screen/resolution
      The feel
      Weight
      LED
      Screen size
      Thickness
      speed of processor
      2GB Ram
      USB on the go

Its not worth the upgrade from S2 if you are gonna pay 400 for it like most people  but worth if you paid $80 like me…

      • ND5

How were you able to pay $80 for this phone?

        • goo649

           He wasn’t

  • guest

    • Taron19119

      which gbs??

  • Kevinmarchibald

Read that the T-Mobile version won’t be compatible with T-Mobile’s LTE network that’s supposed to get turned at some point in 2013. Wonder if would be better to spend a little more for an unlocked international GS3, get a little less throughput on HSPA+, but be able to connect to T-Mobile LTE down the road (in addition to the Exynos, accelerated Mali-400, and Wolfson)? On the other hand, by the time T-Mobile’s LTE (LTE Advanced, with Voice over LTE, right?) is in enough places for it to matter to me, there will be new phones with LTE chips, radios, antennas, and drivers optimized for even better throughput with optimal battery life than what I’d get with the international GS3′s LTE solution.

    • no2apple

thr is no phone yet thatz gonna connect to nonexistent t-mobile LTE. Stop speculating.
Also t-mobile HSPA+ is faster than AT&T LTE… so dont worry about n/w speed. Its more than what you can handle…

  • Cldr27

How are yall getting the phone from walmart are yall new customers or upgrading?  I am due for a full discount but was wondering if i can upgrade thru wall mart?

    • Taron19119

      Yes u can

    • billy padilla

yes you could upgrade thru walmart. its easy , much cheaper, and you could keep or change your existing plan. also dont pay for the mobile hotspot….use FOXFI from the app store, its free and works just the same on s3.

  • Taron19119

I called Walmart and they told me it is 270 wit upgrade so is this the 32gb or what cause I did not go up there

  • Tmo_Fan

I dont think Tmo will lower the price any soon since the GSII been having the same high price with a few lows in 3rd parties like Wall mart and even target when they were selling it for 99.. so this phn will keep its price and the lowest probably 199$ when the GS note comes out.? damn it I want the GSIII lol

  • Tmo_Fan

    Quick question:
any one selling their GS3 already???
    how much??

    • Taron19119

Y when u can get it on wednesday every where

      • Tmo_Fan

thats a good idea.. Weds people will be selling it.. well when the other carriers release the phon ppl will buy and unlock for 20 bucks

    • http://twitter.com/Serotheo Simon Yu

      There’s a swappa listing for $580.

  • circa476

They will lower the price when the other carriers release their versions…

  • Colorado cookie

Spoke to tmobile rep last night for about 2 hours they DO NOT plan on lowering the price till holidays November December and it will be the $50.00 mail in rebate program 2013 only does phone go down to $199 heard it from the horses mouth.

  • smiley47

Don’t put much faith in what a rep tells you is going to happen in 2013. Pricing decisions are  not telegraphed that far in advance and are made by corporate as the market dictates. The rep told you that so you wouldn’t postpone your purchase. So much for the horses mouth, try the other end.
