T-Mobile Galaxy S III Now Available Online, In Select Retail Stores

T-Mobile’s Galaxy S III is now live on T-Mobile.com and in limited retail store locations, and the pricing is exactly what we thought it was going to be. With a two-year contract and Classic voice/data plan, the 16GB version will cost you $279.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate. The 32GB version will set you back an extra $50, for a total of $329.99 and that’s after a $50 mail-in rebate as well.

Remember, we’ve got a lot of intel on where and when you’ll be able to grab your Galaxy S III if you want to pick it up in a local T-Mobile retail store.

David,  any chance they might have a 4th of July sale and offer it cheaper?

    • Nunya Beeswax

I wouldn’t count on it. Haven’t heard anything about a sale for the 4th and we always hear earlier than this. Sorry.

  • ROZCO

    Do stores have marble white?

  • smiley47

I call B.S. The local Phoenix TMO store said yesterday they won’t have the III until June 27 and Phoenix is number 3 on the Top 29 market list.

  • Lythandra

TMo is trying to get me to leave. $280 + $50 MIR. Sprint is the same Monthly and only $200 with no MIR.

I’m gonna wait and see what Amazon and Wirefly sell them at on the various carriers.

  • Employee

Pathetic….Don’t tell your employees that the SIII is coming out on June 21st and then only release it to “certain” markets. As an employee, I am disgusted with T-Mobile. Now all the customers that we’ve told to wait until the 21st, are now going to have to wait another week. I have never seen a company that has been run as poorly as T-Mobile is. I have worked with T-Mobile for 4 years, and right now, this is the lowest I’ve seen T-Mobile. They have lowered commission structure, aren’t getting phones on the release date, being sold off to other companies. Just absolutely pathetic….

  • Shundiak

Any idea how much costco and walmart have them going for?

  • Mark

When I went in to do an upgrade to the blue 32gb, it did not offer me the rebate…came up as $379…kind of disappointing.  I’m still sticking with them, but I think I will wait and get a little bit better price either from them or from costco, walmart, etc…

    • Travis edwards

costco 249 with free blue tooth, screen protector, and car charger

  • Employee

So they are not offering it to the employees?? Bet, if I was a new activation, they would offer it to me!!! Phillip Humm can suck my D!ck

  • Sdfg

    Price fail….so ridiculous.

  • mescam

$50 rebate only for new costomers?  Does NOT show rebate available on my account..  Not that it really would have made it any easier to get, but I was ALMOST on the fence about getting this phone at the price they were asking..  Not anymore.  I have been with T-mobile ONLY..  I was with voicestream when it became t-mobile  Yeah.. that long.  not cool.

    • http://twitter.com/JiggaC24 Jawon Chance

I’m not a new customer and I got the rebate. I think it depends on what type of plan you are on though.

  • Sdfg

Oh WOW! you are right!  Who the F would pay $329 when everyone else is offering at $199????? Biggest fail I have ever seen….debating switching carrier after this crap

    • Not self entitled

Lol…switching carriers over the price of a phone that you have a choice to buy? I’ve never seen so many self entitled customers than at T-Mobile..
You do not deserve the value T-Mobile offers you as a customer. Please leave!

      • Lythandra

If its cheaper somewhere else, monthly fee being the same then why is being financially responsible equal self entitled to you? I work hard for my money so I spend it wisely.

        • Spanky

Because, y’know….voting with one’s wallet makes one self-entitled.

      • mescam

self entitled?  Ridiculous statement.  The “value” of T-mobile only gets you so far.  People who talk about leaving T-mobile for a cheaper phone at a little higher rate on a better network or a similar rate on a slower network and with possibly better CS is a valid argument.  It is a give and take.  I would not mind paying a little more for the phone and stay on t-mobile, but not $130 – $180 more.

    • CS252

I did… Expensive but absolutely worth it!

      • http://twitter.com/JiggaC24 Jawon Chance

        So did I. Awesome Phone!

    • CS252

I did… Expensive but absolutely worth it!

  • http://twitter.com/LyricallyVodka Chaz Edwards

New York has like 34 literally. For all those that are complain just sell your old phone depending on the model. The galaxy s2 still sells for like $300-$250. The value plan is cheaper in the long run then the classic plan as well.

    • http://dualshockers.com Joel Taveras

New York has more… Like 100 more.

Staten Island Mall store from what i heard.

  • MarcusDW

I’d really like to know why the Upgrade price online shows $379 and says nothing about the $50 rebate…?

BTW the checkout price is $437.21.

Depending on where you live, the price will vary.  Taxes

      • MarcusDW

I take it you’re educating the ignorant ones who don’t know that taxes vary??

          yes sirrrrrrrrrr lol

  • http://twitter.com/wutdaheck Heck Saints

I’ll wait until wed, cust service told me $229 After MIR for 16GB so I’m getting at least that price on Wed.

    • Sdfg

Are you an existing customer or new?

  • John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt

If you are complaining about the price, what the heck is wrong with the phone you have? Is it the fact that it’s not the latest, greatest status symbol? Pooooorrrr baaabies!

  • guest

I got it for 379 BUT I complained to customer service bout being customer for 8 years and now leaving tmo and she gave me 85 credit to my account for next month bill. So I guess I’m somewhat happy but tmo got it wrong on the price

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/mrjlwilliams?feature=mhee I’m Pro TMo, click here

This is why they are in the situation we are in now, people doing this crap.  Be glad I wasn’t that rep, I would have told you to ‘kick rocks’ Horrible…

      • Magenta Man

Yeah, that crap being an 8 year customer… dumb rep. 85 dollars is much cheaper to retain a customer than it costs to acquire a new one. I’ve been with magenta since 2001 ( 5 lines) and the reason has always been good prices + great customer service, which has included a few credits over the years.

      • Spanky

I don’t see any crap here. The customer didn’t feel like getting bent over, so he negotiated a better price. What’s wrong with that?

        • http://www.youtube.com/user/mrjlwilliams?feature=mhee I’m Pro TMo, click here

This is not the case, and you know it. People are lying on purpose just to get over, and that is why he came back here and posted it. To brag about it…

        • Akulamenuri

Wouldn’t it be pretty easy for someone in Customer Service to be able to look up how long a customer has been a T-Mobile Subscriber?

  • http://dualshockers.com Joel Taveras

Staten Island Mall store 3811 has it!

  • HD2 to S3

FYI … customer rep just told me for upgrade customers you get the $50 mail in rebate.  Fill out the form you get with the phone.  He also told me since I’m not in a pre-release area I won’t get the phone till 6/29 if I use regular ground shipping.  I ordered it anyway, just have to wait an extra week.  Basically my area northern VA, will get the phone in general release on 6/27in stores.

    • gekswag03

If you would have done next day shipping, you could have got it tomorrow??

      • HD2 to S3

No … earlist I could get it was the 27th at store, if they have any.  Next day shipping would have gotten me the phone on the 28th earlist.  Since I have to wait no matter what I just used ground shipping to get it on the 29th.  I don’t live in a early release area, so I would have to drive to DC (closest to me) and find a store that might have it.  If you ever drove through DC traffic you would prefer to wait a week than go through that mess!  Basically it was the exact same deal that mytmobile was giving me, I just tried customer service to see if I could get it any sooner … nope.

    • gekswag03

If you would have done next day shipping, you could have got it tomorrow??

  • Edward_2k1

I’m going to wait a few months when they offer it for free, maybe around August or Sept. It’s nice for not for that price, that will also allow me to see what WP8 phones are going to be released as well. Also I heard the black w/red accents One S is coming this summer to T-Mobile.

  • UpsetCustomer

I’m very upset about this whole thing. TMobile should be ashamed of itself, offering this phone at a much higher rate than the competition. att, vz and sprint are all selling this at the price customers want. Tmo just wants to price gouge their customers and everyone is falling for it. I’ll be taking my line to sprint land over this. It’s just not right!

    • Sdfg

       I strongly agree

    • Guest

Well, I hope you have fun with Sprint..=)

    • Dave Lima

Sprint sucks where I live and I would never in my life switch to them. My work just switch to Verizon because of the poor reception. I do know that it cost the company a lot of money to switch, initially and monthly, but we get better service. Personally I like TMO and I am sticking with them.

    • Dave Lima

    • Bajamin

They are TOTALLY gouging you on price. They should just make their monthly rate for one line $110 like everyone else and save me $70 on a phone! freaking idiots at T-Mobile giving me a super low monthly rate and having the nerve to charge me $270 for a $650 phone! GOSHHHH!

      • UpsetCustomer

there’s no reason tmo should be charging this much compared to the others. even us cellular is pricing the phone the way it should be. this is why tmo was so late in announcing the price when everyone was proclaiming $199. they know they are doing their customers wrong by price gouging them. it’s wrong! tmo is out of touch with the american consumer and that’s why their churn is high. they give us mid-range phones like the one s and 710 but refuse to ship the one x and 900. the one time they get it right with the sIII they decide to price gouge everybody. screw you tmo. I’ve been waiting for this phone forever but I will not tolerate tmo doing this. if you think I’m crazy just read around the other tech sites. there’s a lot of people like me who are upset and will be taking our business elsewhere.

        • Bajamin

Judging from your ability to understand math and how even by buying the phone for more you are still saving money, this may be moot. There are many things that alter the price of a phone (but you have been trained at the $199.99 price). for instance how much profit is T-Mobile making to cover business cost, payroll etc. They charge much less per month but still have to maintain a network and pay employees. Their ARPU hovers around 30% which is fair. And yes there are a lot of people who are upset that a company gives you a $650 phone packed with expensive technology for $270. Because you people are morons who think every company should give you everything and never turn a profit. The ONE S is FAR from a “mid range” phone.

Lastly, if you think T-Mobile is gouging you for this ONE phone then what is your stance on the other companies charging nearly DOUBLE the monthly rate? It’s the same concept, you moron.

        • Cnote

Everyone is selling the phone at $199 but TMO…that is not ok and consumers should speak up by either calling or cancelling if they feel that strongly about it…

        • UMA_Fan

Thank you for being one of the few people who comment on T-Mobile articles that have a BRAIN.

        • Dcsouthgw

The real cost of the phone is the monthly plan. It can cost up to double each year for the service that what you would pay for the phone off contract.

    • Dcsouthgw

Contracts are a rip off. Buy it off contract and use it on their monthly plans and save hundreds of dollars each year.

  • http://twitter.com/LyricallyVodka Chaz Edwards

I’m laughing at everyone switching carriers over a phone. At&t plans cost more and their known for drop calls. Verizon plans laughable even for the coverage in the boondocks.
    2008 $30 = unlimited

    2011 $30 = 2gb
    2012 $50 = 1gb (shared)
How does data cost me more? Are we running out?
2018 $1500 = 1mb?? That is  Verizon data and you still get overages .
Sprint lte network doesn’t exist.Their 3g is slower than T-mobiles edge. Not to mention it is still more expensive than t-mobile. Sure you can get unlimited on the now network but there is no lte now is there? Also their is an extra ten dollar fee.

    • HD2 to S3

2nd …For me to switch carriers my cost will go up $50 a month more! Sure the phone costs more up front, but in a 2 year contract you pay less and make up the difference and then some.  Look at the costs of the contracts, then look at the upfront phone costs, see who’s price wins in the end.

      • 21stNow

I have the opposite situation.  If I switch my T-Mobile line to AT&T for this phone, my monthly costs drop by $25 for my usage and I get the phone for $199.99.  I’m still deciding based on other non-monetary factors, but this may be the end of the road for me.

        • chilipalm

           How is this possible?

        • GwapoAko

May be he is using ATT calculator :0)

    • Justinreynolds98

Nobodys going to leave cause they know at the end of the day there gonna pay alot more for other carriers. Its not about loyalty or any nonsense like that. The only thing that matters is they have the best service for the price.

    • WW

Most people know this (not the pricing of data…that they’ll generally pay more for similar voice and data with other carriers).  They’re just angry that TMo’s charging more for the GS3.

Anyone that has an “average” plan (typically 1000-unlimited voice, 2gb data) will be cutting off their nose to spite their face (depriving TMo of their business but costing themselves more $ to do so).

If TMo doesn’t meet your coverage needs and you’re prepared to pay more for better coverage, that’s valid.  If you’re satisfied with TMo’s service/coverage, then switching because of the extra $130 TMo wants for the GS3 is stupid unless you’re bill only increases by $5 or less.  In that situation, you’ll break even.

I don’t have Sprint but I do have their “4G” service through Clearwire (they share WiMax signal).  In Atlanta, it’s ok and only slightly slower (2-7mb vs 3-10mb) than my TMo “4G” on my phone.  Sprint’s tethering/hotspot service is $20 or $50 (2gb or 6gb data caps respectively) per month on top of their unlimited data.

    • UglyPete

You laugh, but it’s true. When i worked at Tmo, people would see the blackberry curve for $149 and say “att has it for free, if you cant give it to me for free, i’ll just go sign up with them”  Nobody cares about long term. they want satisfaction now and are willing to pay more in the long run.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/mrjlwilliams?feature=mhee I’m Pro TMo, click here

I’m gonna just get the 16GB blue here in a little bit, and call it a day. Put my 32GB card in there, and I’m set.  In the end, I’m paying less.  Because all the other carriers CAN NOT compete with the TMo price plans.

    • http://twitter.com/LyricallyVodka Chaz Edwards

32 gigs and 64 gigs sd cards are cheap now I have no idea why people want the 32 gig.

      • Baggio

Flash memory built-in the phone will always be faster than an SD card.

    • MarcusDW

        • MarcusDW

Nah I’m not buying it at that price especially since I just got ICS on the 2.

I may not even get it at all actually because in a month or two, I’ll be hearing about something else.  Maybe an RGB Note or RGB GS3 which will come out just a few months later.

I can live with my GS2 thankfully.

WOW, I’ve had it now for a couple of hours. It is truly nice…feels good in the hand, and the COLOR. WOW Pebble Blue is nice. When I went in the store, everyone was buying one..lol.

      • http://twitter.com/JiggaC24 Jawon Chance

The only knock is that shiny finish on the rear of the blue model is a fingerprint magnet. It definitely feels much better in the hand that the GS II did. I got mine this morning didnt have alot of time to play with it at work but it’s awesome. Flipboard is pretty cool.

  • JMccovery

It could be worse, like with Sprint… The only people that will be able to get a GS3 are the ones who pre-ordered it, Sprint is unsure about general availability, because Samsung did not anticipate the high demand. Verizon’s GS3 won’t ship until July 11th, so right now, your only choices are At&t’s 16GB GS3s or T-Mobile’s higher priced 16 and 32GB GS3s.

    • TheReder

At least Sprint/Verizon/AT&T aren’t charging $330 out the door.

    • Dave Lima

Samsung did not anticipated the high demand? BS. they new that it was going to be high demand and they did nothing. It is the Hottest phone out there, so far, and did not get ready.

      • Spanky

Samsung is creating artificial demand by releasing limited supplies. Remember what Nintendo did with the Wii? Smart marketing!

    • John

I just wonder if T-Mobile purposely raised thier prices knowing well that Verizon won’t get thiers until July? And after the hype and all carriers have them maybe just maybe lower them back down to the other competitor pricing? Just a thought.

  • Mikelfl

In at the Waterford Lakes store in Orlando. Ten people in line. Supposedly they have 50 16gb pebble blue in stock.

    • Dasoccerbomb

Was it what you thought it would be…only blue ?

      • Mikelfl

Yes I wanted blue. I was the first person to get my phone. The Samsung rep even gave out pens and cups!
        :-P

  • andrewmi

Not trying to start a fight here, but in my situation, with my usage, Verizon is the EXACT same price/month.  TMO is the only carrier where I don’t get a 14-17% discount, we use a ton of voice minutes and relatively few texts/data.  In the past TMO has been the best deal by far, but after 6yrs on a myFaves plan, I have to look elsewhere.  So no, TMO isn’t always the cheaper plan, it may be for most people, so I don’t want to spend $130 more for a phone.

    • http://twitter.com/LyricallyVodka Chaz Edwards

That because you have a discount. If you don’t have that T-mobile is cheaper than the rest.

      • Alex

Thanks for the clarification Captain Obvious.

Thanks for the clarification Captain Obvious.

    • http://www.facebook.com/justin.reynolds.338 Justin Reynolds

Data is by far the most expensive thing, if you just want to talk on the phone you can go to boost mobile and pay almost nothing. Obviously if you don’t use data then any carrier would be cheap, and if you don’t use any of that why would you get the s3 anyway. if you do get the s3 on Verizon you will eventually start using it and when you shared family shared data runs out in a week you’ll be back on here singing a different tune. My loyalty is to the might dollar and I stay with tmo because they have the best value for the money. I don’t understand how your point is relevant, you say you just talk on the phone , but 95% of people who buy the top smarphome use it for data, and text. Everyone knows voice and texting is cheap, data is what you pay for.In a few years everything will use data, and wifi. So all those calls you make will be like using Skype and your 14 to 17 percent discount won’t even matter.

  • ElYukiPR

$230???  Are you crazy???  International have it on $199 and have a Quad Core processor.  No way!!! I’ll stay with my Galaxy S2 Titanium.  Same speed processor than GS3 and now with stock ICS.

    • XMAGUSX

So misinformed…the quad-core is basically only better in gaming tasks (the S4 beats it in CPU tasks), and the S3 dual-core in the GS2 isn’t close to the performance of either.

    • Dumbazz

you are absolutely clueless. I have the g 2 as well with I c s and I can tell you that on a daily basis this phone freezes up.

    • http://twitter.com/JiggaC24 Jawon Chance

If you honestly believe just because they are both 1.5 Ghz dual core processors they are the same “speed” wise? they are different generations so they are not the same And as someone who switched to a GS III after having a GS II with ICS, I can tell u the difference is night and day. The ICS update on the GS II made my phone much slower and caused several freezes and force closes with apps that didnt happen before. The S III has far better fluidity. It’s awesome.

Look, you people who complain about “taking your money elsewhere” and to another company, go complain somewhere else because posting it on here isn’t going to change anything. You have a choice whether or not you want to buy this phone…NOW. 6 months from now, it’s going to be old news and you can spend your $100 less and don’t even think about the other phones that come out at the time..because you are the ones who complain about the smallest things. Get the hell outta here! T-Mo would be better off with out your daily complaint calls.

A business should consider the feedback from its customers.  A business that tells its unsatisfied customers to go to the competition, without considering changing the things that makes many customers unsatisfied will go out of business.

Consider Circuit City.  As much as I couldn’t stand Circuit City, I didn’t think that they would keep ignoring their customers until they had to close their doors.

  • Dennis Petros

Pulling this crap selling 130 more than other carrier. None of us should buy the phone at ALL so they drop the price. Morons at Tmobile.

    • Dumbazz

budgeting and finances isn’t your thing is it.

Is the concept of less coverage = cheaper plans lost on you? T-mobiles plans are cheaper because their coverage is generally sub-par to the big boys. That’s why you pay more if you go to Verizon or AT&T. That doesn’t mean T-Mobile’s coverage is BAD, but lets not kid ourselves, they aren’t up to snuff with the larger carriers.

    • jay

      It;s actually. $80 more for 16GB and $80 more for the 32GB…

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

Bingo, I was told the same thing too.

  • Cnote

I remember reading an article here that TMO new CEO believes that phones should not be subsidized…I wonder if this is why the phone is so high at release?

    • Dumbazz

no t mobile phones are generally higher cost for the same phone as other carriers might sell for a little less but you save more with t mobile so at the end of the day you’re spending more with that other carrier to get the phone for less initially.
      of course

  • Cnote

I remember reading an article here that TMO new CEO believes that phones should not be subsidized…I wonder if this is why the phone is so high at release?

  • P T

I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I think the biggest turn off for me on this phone is its size. I have been eyeballing the S II which is already huge for a guy who carries my phone in my front pocket. The S III is even bigger (although thinner and a bit lighter, its area is bigger).

I just wish the Galaxy Blaze came with the same camera as the S II and I would be all over that one.

    • http://twitter.com/LyricallyVodka Chaz Edwards

Its the same size thinner than the s2. Just made the screen larger for more real estate.

    • fixxmyhead

maybe u should wear some guy pants. the phone is very pocketable with guy jeans

      • Guest911

Lot of us do wear guy pants but dont carry man purses around. Good for you though!

    • Sanman202

GS2 fits fine in jean pockets. I carry it everyday that way.

      • Sanman202

Unless someone is wearing super skinny type jeans. I hope not!..lol

  • Tmobile

This is BS…. $250+ for a phone w/ 2 yrs contract while others are $200.00

    • Sanman202

You want the phone on release date you have to pay the price. It’s at least not the full $629.99 for the 16gb version that they charge for off contract. If you buy new phones every 6 month or so then it can get expensive. If you have not treated yourself to a new phone in the last two years then $250 is not too bad. Also, TMobile plans are not as high per month.

      • mescam

I would be fine with 250..  but it is 329.  almost 400 out the door.  and MAYBE a MIR?

        • Sanman202

$250 should be the threshhold with any device with how technology changes so much. What you bought today was old yesterday. The GS4 rumors will be flying soon. It’s all a matter if the device has what you need and most of them do the basic stuff. It’s a matter of having the latest and greatest for some of us. The GS2 is still a great device and for what I use the phone for the GS3 is not necessary. The GS2 is what the Vibrant should’ve been and that’s why I upgraded fast from the Vibrant. Did the homeworkd and knew the technology in the GS2 would be sufficient for a while for what I use the phone for. If someone has the Vibrant and missed on getting the GS2 I would definitely say go for the GS3 if you can swing it.

    • Dumbazz

okay genius go to another carrier and pay more per month and in the end you pay more. Please for the love of god get a friggin clue

  • smithgo

this had me wondering if tmobile ever gets the iphone the price will be also higher than others? or otherwise if they price it 199 w/contract then samsung and HTC will have a marketing disadvantage.

  • smithgo

android has come a long way since the G1. it surpassed my own expectations look at this phone so perfect. I always knew Android would be a success but it surpassed my own expectations. and its sad that most bloggers write about how this success will not last or is near end, but I don’t see it. If you are a tech lover you must had loved how the little green guy went to the top

  • Kuko_ako

Washington, DC is listed as one of the top 29 markets. I’ve just been to three different stores and none of them has the Samsung Galaxy S III — no, not even a dummy one.

    • BrianB

I was told yesterday by a rep at a location in Laurel that the location in Wheaton Mall would have them today.

    • 21stNow

Silver Spring and Waldorf should have them.

  • Francesco Borruso

getting it for 79.99 through retentions :)

    • Taron19119

      How tell me how

      • Francesco Borruso

I have been a customer for 11 years and I told them I would be switching over to Sprint since they are offering it for 199.99 so the very nice lady gave me a $200 credit to my account to offset the price when I buy it in the store.

        • LC

Just make sure you know that you can’t charge the cost of the phone to you’re account unless you’re on the value plan.

    • Dumbazz

      Ya right .

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

      This is a lie too.

      • Francesco Borruso

na why dont you try to see if you can get it too instead of calling people liars?

  • Guest

I called to cancel my account and retention sold me one for 179 so I would stay.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

      This is a lie.

      • Auser72

Its a DAMN LIE!!!!!! I did get a full upgrade six months ahead of eligibility through customer loyalty. I love Tmobile!!!!!!

  • Angelboy66

I can only guess what will be the galaxy note price if it ever get launched on tmob

  • Guest

Costco will have it next week according to the rep there.

    • sharklover

My store said tomorrow. Should have had today.

  • http://www.facebook.com/christopher.bodley Christopher Bodley

This is some crap! I went to my local t-mobile store in the Detroit market and they didn’t have any! They told me only ONE store in MICHIGAN recieved the phones and here’s the kicker….IT”S NOT EVEN A CORPORATE STORE!!! I’m really, really pissed right now! I’ve never been this disappointed at t-mobile in my life!

    • ME

Chris the only store in michigan that is receiving the device is the 12 Oaks location, which is a corporate location.

      • http://www.facebook.com/christopher.bodley Christopher Bodley

Oh. Well, that was what the t-mobile store I went to told me. The store in Novi right?

        • ME

Yep, they sent out a list to all employees of the corporate store that would have the phones and that was the closest on. The other 2 were in Indiana, it sucks but it is what it is.

        • http://www.facebook.com/christopher.bodley Christopher Bodley

Oh ok. I just made the drive to Novi and picked mine up! Can’t wait to play with it!

  • johnny melara

    nevermind

  • Dags

Anybody knows if BestBuy will sell this phone on Tmobile? Called them couple of days ago and the person I talked to had no clue. Thanks.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

I just called to cancel my service stating the fact that I missed many opportunities to get free/cheaper brand new phones since One S came out because T-Mobile neglected to share pricing until the last minute.

I was told the Galaxy 3 is not in their system yet for them to do anything with, the retentions department.  The best they could do is CALL ME BACK on the 27th to see if they can do anything for me.

You cannot order this phone through customer service at this time, only on the website.

    • Francesco Borruso

you should have asked for the credit like I did, its already posted on my account

      http://oi50.tinypic.com/sg258n.jpg

      • Hardheadpunk

I laugh when people ask for free phones, service, ext and the argument is always ” I’m a loyal customer” …. Do you call your utility company, water company, cable company, insurance company, ext for free service. No! Francesco get a job and get off welfare which I’m sure you are on.

        • Ken Sze

lol i actually do for cable…well satellite cause directv is just horrible when it is raining or if there is trees growing and then i tell them to give me some credit to my account because of the service or free HBO

        • Hardheadpunk

My thing is why stay with a company that you are not happy with. Everyone has free will to do whatever they want, but ranting about a terrible service or pricey equipment all of this can easily be fixed by moving to the next best thing. For example, I hated my “satellite service” for the same reasons so I switch to uverse which Is more expensive but my headaches went away and I love the service I am getting.

        • Jimmyds17

He just being smart Hardheadpunk.  Who doesn’t want free stuff?

      • Jimmyds17

Thanks! I believe you.  I got all my phone free from T-Mobile.  I am waiting til next week to call them to get the phone instead of credit.

    • Francesco Borruso

next time ask for a credit on the account, mine has already been posted.  I tried posting a screenshot but it says it has to be approved by a moderator -_-

    • zeke

don’t let the door knob hit ya where the good Lord split ya!

  • Melloo16

Seems like there is some confusion about the MIR..I tried to use my upgrade to get the 16gb this morning online and it was 329 with no Mir mentioned unless u were getting it as a new customer…I’m gonna go to the store and check

  • Bajamin

Why can’t people do simple math? “I’m going to switch to a new company and pay double the monthly rate to save a total of $70!!!!” Is everyone a troll or are people really this stupid?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

Uhm no.  I can switch to any other carrier and pay the same rate, or $10 more for a larger, faster coverage area, and get the phone for $200 less.

      • Bajamin

That’s funny because there were test done showing T-Mobile as the fastest in 8 citites and very comparable speeds throughout the nation. It also showed Sprint at laughable speeds. And now they are rolling out LTE.
As far as price you are WAY off. Below are pricing as of TODAY for ONE line of service.
T-mobile unlimited TTW (with throttle above 2gb) is $79.99
ATT with 2GB LIMIT is $120
        Verizon with 2GB LIMIT $120
Sprint with crap speeds and high dropped call rate (6% roughly) $109.99

So yeah it is retarded to complain about $70 for a phone.

        • http://www.facebook.com/roy.harrigan Roy Harrigan

Sprint is actually $99 and the data is uncapped. In addition, the phone can be bought at Sprint for $150-$180.

        • LC

$99 isn’t for their completely unlimited minutes though, just the 450 with unlimited any mobile. The $109 has the full unlimited minutes.

        • Bajamin

No, sorry. The below is copied and pasted from Sprint. Note the $109.99 for SMARTPHONES

          UnlimitedMinutes$99.99 /mo** $109.99 for smartphones

        • James

T-Mobile service could be faster however, they lack coverage. I think that was Dave’s point.

        • Bajamin

I think you should read more, James. Personal anecdotes about coverage and speed =/= facts.

          http://www.tmonews.com/2012/06/t-mobiles-hspa-network-takes-on-lte-in-pc-mags-latest-speed-tests/

      • zeke

name 1 carrier that has “faster coverage” whatever that means.and where you are getting the same plan at the same rate. i mean the same features. lets compare apples to apples here pal.  #weseeyoutrolling

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=638799477 Dave Gomez

Faster and MORE coverage.  I don’t live in a metro area so T-mobile’s coverage is poor.  They only rolled out 3g in the last 2 years to my area.  AT&T and Verizon dominate coverage in this area with 4g speeds everywhere.  Understand now?

        • Herb

I missed the part where AT&T and Verizon charge you an equal rate.

        • Zeke

          Again, see my comment above.

      • guidomus_maximus

buy a calculator.  you are paying $80 more but you save $20 per month. you get the $80 back in four months + 20 month of saving $20 per month.  The same phone costs several hundred dollars more

        • Therealmikebrown

We are paying $130 more, there is no rebate for upgrades.
Not to mention if you have more than 1 line, if you want to upgrade 3 lines that’s $390 more. With 24 month contracts, thats over 15 a month.
Add corporate discounts of the other carriers of up to 24% and T-Mobile really doesn’t save you money. Put that in you calculator.
Just so everyone knows T-Mobile has a PTA discount of 15%. All you have to do is join your kids PTA and give T-Mo your membership #. this will lower your plan a little.

        • Herb

No rebate for upgrades? Where did you get this information?

    • GwapoAko

Best comment so far!!!! Someone on this site thought I am stupid for posting comparison of total annual cost of owning this beast!!!

    • Smart Customer

I actually am paying 5 dollars less than I was paying at T-Mobile on Verizon. Plus, I get WAY better reception when I travel, which is why I need it.

  • sharklover

Sad I went to costco and they did not get them in. Said was held up at customs. Should have tomorrow but each store only getting 5.

  • Jon_brun1

I can’t even get it online at any price. Been TMO ten years. Upgrade ready.

  • CalmDown

Lmao…. Some of u are ranting and raving bout the price, but when the 27th roll around and other places are offering it for 199 u will run out and get it and be all happy and snuggly w your SGS3.

    • zeke

      shut up.
