The T-Mobile “4G Tweet Race” Starts On May 3rd

T-Mobile’s newest promotional contest is for all your Twitter fiends out there as T-Mobile wants you to enter the “4G Tweet Race,” and a chance to win a HTC One S. So how do you win?

The premise

Ladies and gentlemen, start your hashtags. Enter T-Mobile’s 4G Tweet Race and put your social network to the test. You could win amazing prizes.

How to play

Registration is simple. Just connect your Twitter account and follow @TMobile. When the race is on, you’re free to tweet! The racer who receives the most unique retweets during the race wins.

The stakes

One winner each day will receive a brand new HTC One™ S with a free year of service. At the end of the week, all seven winners will compete against one another for the grand prize – a cool $4000.

What counts?

Racers are free to personalize their tweet for their followers. However, all tweets must include @TMobile#4GTweets, and http://t-mo.co/4GTweets. Only your first tweet will qualify for the race, so please don’t spam your followers. Finally, all tweets and retweets must be posted during the race to qualify, and are subject to T-Mobile’s discretion. Be sure to check the rules page for more information.

Interesting that the first race starts at the exact same time as the Samsung Galaxy S3 Unpacking….

i was thinking about this earlier too…not about the specific time, but just the date in general…i mean not everyone will be glued to their computer, tv or phone in anticipation of the s3 announcement/unveiling, but the timing of this contest does have me wondering…Couldnt they have waited a day? lol

  • UGH

A bit silly as someone with a lot of followers can ask them to retweet and they can post something like @TMobile sucks – customer service is terrible #4GTweets… or just post to a lot of celebs and hope one of them retweets — or I wish I was at my last job with a TV show – Id just get t he host to retweet this and if only a fraction of their millions of followers retweeted, Id easily win

WOW Tmobile essentially asking people to spam the crap out of their followers
    .

This is the best they could come up with?
